EDITORIAL C’est dans le cadre du Palais des Congrès situé face au magnifique Château de Versailles que se tient le Congrès 2011 de la Fédération Française de Rugby accueilli et organisé cette année par le Comité d’Ile de France de Rugby. Cette édition sera notamment marquée par une innovation de taille : pour la première fois, la FFR, bien sûr, mais aussi la Commission Centrale de l’Arbitrage (CCA) et la Direction Technique Nationale (DTN) vont tenir leurs assemblées générales annuelles à la même date et au même endroit. Se trouveront ainsi réunis les dirigeants fédéraux, territoriaux et départementaux, les dirigeants de clubs, les arbitres, les cadres techniques et les représentants de toutes les licenciées et de tous les licenciés… Au total pas moins d’un millier d’acteurs de la grande famille du rugby. Cette présence de tous, en un même lieu et un même temps me semble symbolique de l’une des valeurs qui font la force de notre sport : l’unité. Unité, surtout en une année de Coupe du Monde, de toute la communauté du rugby derrière les trente joueurs qui devront porter au plus haut en Nouvelle Zélande les couleurs de la France et que nous soutiendrons tous et de tout notre cœur. Unité également et mobilisation de tous pour poursuivre ©I.PICAREL/FFR ensemble, la construction de la fédération de demain. Notre fédération va dépasser aujourd’hui pour la première fois la barre des 400 000 pratiquants. Il nous appartient de la doter des structures qui demain, lui permettront de poursuivre cette dynamique de développement du Rugby français. Je remercie personnellement et au nom de chacune et de chacun des congressistes, le Comité d’Ile de France et l’investissement total de toutes ses équipes élues, salariées et bénévoles, conduites par jean Louis BOUJON, pour que nous puissions ici travailler et partager dans le respect des valeurs chères à notre sport.
