(AYHC: American Youth Horse Council, 2007; Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup 2003; NHJTCA: National Horse Judging Team Coaches' Assoc. 2001; Association of Ky Extension Specialists 2001) APHA/Paint Involvement Ashley is an APHA Judge and serves as an APHA State Director from Kentucky and is vice-chair of APHA's Professional Horseman committee and is a member of the APHA Governance Task Force. Other Horse Involvement Ashley holds Pinto Horse Association of America (PtHA), Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA), and American Paint Horse Association (APHA) judges' cards. As an American Quarter Horse Association Professional Horseman, Ashley remains active in the industry and has expanded to the ownership and breeding of Paint Horses and has a daughter that now shows a Paint Horse mare. As Past-President of the American Youth Horse Council (AYHC) she co-authored AYHC's Youth Leaders' Manual to support adults working with kids and horses. Other organizational service includes being Past-President of the National Horse Judging Team Coaches' Association, Past-Chair of the Eastern National 4-H Horse Roundup Management Team, Co-Coordinator of the National FFA Equine Career Development Event, and Past-President of the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association. In addition, Ashley has coached 4-H youth horse judging teams to High Team and High Individual recognition at the All American Quarter Horse Congress and the International Arabian Horse Association Youth Contest. As a speaker she has trained horse show judges in over 10 states and had the pleasure of serving as an APHA judge in Austria, Belgium in recent years plus the European Nationals in 2019. Membership and Service Ashley serves on the Board of Directors for the KY Paint Horse Club assisting with their annual horse show and activities. .
