Comprising six reservoirs and the marshes, a two-kilometre cycle path links all four new entrances within Walthamstow Wetlands, connecting the site to the borough’s cycling network which in turn opens the site to the wider Lee Valley and Olympic Park.

A traffic-free cycle path runs along the River Lea from Walthamstow Marshes to Banbury Reservoir. It follows National Cycle route 1 along the Lea Valley Walk passing Lockwood Reservoir, High Maynard Reservoir, Low Maynard Reservoir, East Warwick Reservoir and West Warwick Reservoir.
