On 1 July 2014 at Mt Pritchard ( Cabramatta / Liverpool area ) there was a head-on FATAL collision between two vehicles whereby one man died and three were injured, including a baby, as a result of one of the drivers attempting to avoid a fox ( which was also hit and suf- fered a broken leg ).

Even in a micro second of thinking, contemplate the outcome of your actions whilst trying to avoid wild animals on our roads.

Dog attacks upon sheep Dogs, in the Bungonia Hts area, have been attacking sheep over the past 2+ months - specifi- cally around the Banksia Lane, Candlebark Rd area. One of the dogs has been described as a small white wiry haired dog. Be warned that if your stray dog is found upon other persons property attacking stock, that the offending animal can legally be shot; and the owner of that animal held financially re- sponsible for the damage caused to stock.

Counterfeit money circulating $50 & $10 counterfeit notes have been circulating in the Hume ( Goulburn ) L.A.C. & also the Illawarra Region. Scrutinise your notes to make sure that you don’t possess a counterfeit note.

Correction: ( for historical purposes ) Last month I indicated that the bridge work upon the Oallen Ford Bridge, Oallen, was commenc- ing from 8 July. That was incorrect. The work commences as of the 8 August 2014.

BUNCONIA. (From Our Correspondent.) On the Telephone.--The telephone from Sydney to Goulburn has brought us on to the Sydney exchange, and for the sum of 2/1 we can communicate with Sydney. Community First Responders C.F.R. / S.E.S.

These blokes and women do an absolutely fantastic and critical job in responding to medical emergencies in this area and dedicate a lot of their personal time in an effort to help and protect members of this, and other, communities.

C.F.R. Members are also member of the S.E.S., and are further trained in advanced First Aid techniques by the NSW Ambulance Service and could be called upon to provide advanced first aid at roadside collisions and other emergencies in areas where there is no immediate State ambulance service available or close by.

C.F.R. Members also have a positive working relationship with local Police, Ambulance and other emergency services.

In order to keep this vital C.F.R. Active in this community, further volunteers are urgently required. If you are interested in this line of activity - please contact Kevin Muffet on 4844 7143 who will be more than glad to explain the processes to you.

Regards from Kevin Muffet Team Leader 48447143 S.E.S.& C.F.R.

The C.F.R. is still in need of suitable volunteers to join the organisation as First Responders.

This would be a great career step for the younger folk who are looking to get into the medical field Ambulance Service, Police Force etc.

It would also be a great way for good local people to join in a winning team who are out there to help others.

If you would like to join the S.E.S. / C.F.R. then give Kev a call and speak with him about it. Cal
