It was prepared from information provided by telecommuni cation administrations of ITU Member countries, the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR), national space research organizations, the International Frequency Registration Board (IFRB) o f the ITU, and from details published in the specialized press. The data concerning the orbit parameters are the initial orbital data. Fragments or stages o f rockets left over from launching operations and placed in orbit with the various spacecraft have not been included.
