SOMMAIRE Bilan des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de Sotchi 2014 – CDOS 77 - 2 - 1ère partie : Morgan CIPRES participe à ses premiers Jeux Olympiques Les grandes dates du parcours de Morgan CIPRES 1991 : naissance. 1995 : prend sa première licence, un an après sa première « rencontre » avec le patinage. 2001 : stoppe un an pour soigner une blessure (liée à sa croissance). Sa saison 2008 -2009 sera perturbée par une blessure aux adducteurs. 2004 : remporte la finale du Trophée de l’Espoir. Décembre 2006 : participe à son premier Championnat de France Elite (11ème) 2009 : décroche la médaille de bronze des Championnats de France Juniors. 2010 : termine 13ème des Championnats du Monde Juniors en individuel. 9 septembre 2010 : débute sa carrière en couple avec Vanessa JAMES qui revenait des Jeux Olympiques de Vancouver en février 2010. Novembre 2011 : exécute leur première chorégraphie ensemble au Trophée Bompard avec une 8ème place au final. Décembre 2011 : termine Vice-champion de France chez lui à Dammarie les Lys. SAISON 2012 24 janvier 2012 : Championnats d’Europe à Sheffield, 6ème place en couple. 26 mars 2012 : Championnats du Monde à Nice, 2ème place en qualifications sur 11 mais 16ème au général. Juin 2012 : son entraîneur de toujours, Claude PERI THEVENARD devient entraîneur national pour préparer les Jeux Olympiques de 2014. 30 septembre 2012 : 3ème du Nebelhorn Trophy (All) pour la première compétition de la saison. Du 04 au 06 octobre 2012 : Master d’Orléans, ils terminent 1ers (programme libre à 113,9). 21 octobre 2012 : 4ème place à Seattle (USA) au Grand Prix d’Amérique (total de 167,66). 18 novembre 2012 : 6ème du Trophée Bompard (au POPB) grâce à un programme libre noté à 112,21. 16 décembre 2012 : ils deviennent Champions de France à Strasbourg. SAISON 2013 21 au 27 janvier 2013 : 4ème au Championnat d’Europe à Zagreb. Janvier 2013 : Championnats d’Europe à Zagreb (Croatie) 4ème. 24 février 2013 : Challenge Cup à La Haye (PB), victoire avec 189,2 points, c’est la 1ère victoire internationale du couple. 7 au 9 mars 2013 : stage à Detroit (USA). ème 10 au 17 Mars 2013 : Championnats du Monde à London (Canada), 8 . La France se classe 6ème. 13 septembre 2013 : opération au poignet pour Morgan. A noter que sa camarade de club Yrétha SILETE a aussi subi une deuxième opération après celle d’août 2012. 15 au 17 novembre 2013 : retour à la compétition au Trophée Eric Bompard à Paris, 5ème place avec 172,27 points. 14 décembre 2013 : ils conservent à Vaujany, leur titre de Champion de France (seul couple en lice mais avec un triple-saut réussit ce qui permet d’atteindre 177 points) ; 21 décembre 2013 : Gala des Etoiles à Courchevel. 15 au 19 janvier 2014 : Championnats d’Europe à Budapest. SON PALMARES A CE JOUR : 5 titres de Champion de France (1 en minime, 2 en jeunes élite, 2 en couple senior), 3 médailles nationales, 1 sélection olympique, 4 sélections pour des Championnats du Monde. 5 - 2ème partie : L’aventure olympique Seine-et-Marnaise ESCRIME – DANIEL REVENU Né en 1942, Daniel pratique l’escrime en famille, son père Ernest, créa le club de Melun en 1949 et formera plusieurs générations de champions, ce qui lui faudra son surnom de « sorcier ». Sa sœur Colette sera sélectionnée aux Jeux Olympiques de 1964. Ses qualités lui permettent de décrocher son premier titre de Champion de France par équipe de fleuret en 1961 à l’âge de 19 ans. Il a à ses côtés Jacky COURTILLAT, sélectionné olympique en 1960 à l’âge de 17 ans. C’est la première ligne de palmarès du club qui va vite devenir une référence ! 1963, Daniel est Champion de France puis décroche avec l’Equipe de France sa première médaille mondiale (en bronze), la dynamique est lancée et il se retrouve en 1964 sélectionné olympique pour les Jeux de Tokyo à 21 ans. Il confirme son talent en décrochant une superbe médaille de bronze. L’équipe de France compte deux autres melunais : Jacky COURTILLAT avec qui il remporte également la médaille de bronze par équipe et sa sœur Colette. L’année suivante, il devient Vice-champion du Monde Individuel et remporte avec l’Equipe de France une médaille de bronze. Aux Jeux de Mexico en 1968, il monte de nouveau deux fois sur le podium, à titre individuel il est médaillé de bronze mais, par équipe il r emporte le titre olympique. Champion Olympique à 26 ans !!! Sa carrière ne s’arrête pas là, en 1971, il devient Champion du Monde par équipe puis, entre dans l’histoire du sport français, avec le club de Melun, le premier club français a remporter la Coupe d’Europe des clubs !!! Ce qui est exceptionnel, c’est que le club va remporter cette épreuve 5 fois (1972-1973, 1976 et 1977).

Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov (RUS) take lead in Pairs Short Program Russia’s Ksenia Stolbova/Fedor Klimov took the lead in the Pairs Short Program ahead of teammates Yuko Kavaguti/Alexander Smirnov. Vanessa James/Morgan Cipres of France came third. Performing to “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”, Stolbova/Klimov landed a triple twist, side by side triple toeloop, and a throw triple Lutz. The reigning World and European silver medalists picked up a level four for the lift, death spiral, side by side spin and the step sequence to score 71.38 points. “We’ll see what happens the day after tomorrow but right now it all felt good. We’re happy we managed to do everything, the lift got level 4 and all the other elements got good levels. I don’t know if it was our best skate but the marks were fine”, Klimov told the press. Kavaguti/Smirnov’s program to “Meditation” from “Thais” included a triple toe, triple twist, throw triple loop and three level-four elements. The two-time World bronze medalists posted a new seasons best with 69.86 points.
