These solutions, deemed as model-agnostic, hope to create some approximation of what is happening within any model and explain the decisions made. The technology leader in this space is an open-source tool called LIME (Local Interpretable Model-Agnostic Expla- nations) from the University of Washington, which takes a model-agnostic approach to determining the “why” behind any decision.
