He became President and Chief Executive Officer of CWB Financial Group in March 2013, concurrent with his election to the Board of Directors. Chris started his career in commercial and corporate banking in 1985 with Continental Bank of Canada, which was subsequently acquired by Lloyds Bank Canada and then by HSBC Bank Canada. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of British Columbia. Chris sits on the University Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and is currently the Chair of the Finance & Investment Committee. He is also a member of the Canadian Bankers Association’s Executive Council, the Business Council of Canada, Business Council of Alberta and the Alberta Economic Recovery Council. Chris is married with twin daughters. Played rugby for Team Canada in 1979, 1989 and 1990. He also played for UBC and club teams in Victoria, Vancouver and Edmonton where he won multiple provincial championships as well as the national city championships. The formal transition will take place on July 5th, with Northlands winding down its operations once the transition is concluded. Last year, the City of Edmonton asked Northlands and Explore Edmonton to evaluate whether there was an opportunity for the two organizations to work together to reinvent and deliver K- Days and Farmfair in a financially sustainable way. For the last several months, Northlands and Explore Edmonton have been engaged in discussions – facilitated by the City of Edmonton – about what this new working relationship might look like. In early 2021, Explore Edmonton concluded a feasibility study that determined the organization was well-positioned to deliver both events given its new mandate as the Destination Management and Marketing Organization (DMMO) for Edmonton and its existing management responsibilities of the Edmonton Expo Centre. “The Explore Edmonton team was humbled by the confidence City Council and others showed in us when it was suggested we could take this on. We know that it has been a challenging time for our friends at Northlands and that this has not been easy. We intend to honour and respect their legacy of service to Edmonton by relaunching their events in exciting and dynamic new ways.” – Maggie Davison, Interim CEO, Explore Edmonton As the discussions evolved, it became clear that from a viability and financial sustainability perspective, the right approach was for Northlands to move the assets to Explore Edmonton and wind down its operations. -

Introduction This Issues and Opportunities Brief summarizes the technical analyses completed as part of Phase 2 of Edmonton’s Exhibition Lands Transformation (formerly named the Coliseum Station Area Redevelopment Plan). It incorporates the findings from the following project tasks: › Transportation technical analysis › Civil infrastructure technical analysis › Site visits and analysis › Context analysis › Public and stakeholder engagement The summary and discussion provided on the following pages should be supplemented by the more detailed findings of these technical studies, where available, and by the Phase 1 What We Heard Report that describes the results of public engagement to date. The Exhibition Lands project will study the lands centred on the former exhibition grounds located between the Coliseum and Stadium LRT Stations, including the Coliseum arena and EXPO Convention Centre, and the edges of surrounding communities. The study area boundaries (shown on the following pages) have been designed to encompass neighbourhoods with the highest potential for change in the future, and to enable the project to consider transitions and connections between the City lands and existing residential areas, nearby open spaces and the broader transportation network. Note that the project is in a stage of transition, with a focus on creating a more collaborative and transformational vision for the future of the Exhibition Lands. -

TERMS AND CONDITIONS K-Days 2021 1. DEFINITIONS 1.1 In this Agreement: (a) “Application” means the K-Days Application to which these Terms and Conditions apply. (b) “Commission” means that commission that is stipulated in the Application. (c) “Deposit” means $1000.00 per booth, such amount to be non-refundable. (d) “Event” means the exhibition event held on the Northlands Grounds during the Operation Days, typically referred to as K-Days. (e) “Exhibit” means the exhibit(s) and concession(s) the Licensee is operating at the Event, as indicated on the Application. (f) “Handbook” means the exhibitor handbook that is available through the Application. (g) “Licensee” means the person or entity indicated as the Legal Name on the Application and referred to as “Applicants” in the Application and the “How to Apply” document. (h) “Minimum Commission” means the minimum commission as specified in the Application. (i) “Northlands” means Edmonton Northlands. (j) “Northlands’ Grounds” means all venue and land operated by Northlands including, but not limited to, that real property municipally described as 7300 – 116 Avenue N.W., Edmonton, Alberta and 7418 – 118 Avenue N.W., Edmonton, Alberta for the purpose of the K-Days event. (k) “Operation Days” shall mean those dates that fall within July 23, 2021 – Aug 1, 2021, inclusive. (l) “Rent” means that rent that is calculated in accordance with the Handbook. 1.2 Unless otherwise defined herein, all capitalized terms used in the Terms and Conditions have the meanings ascribed to them in the Application. 2. GRANT OF LICENSE 2.1 When a Licensee submits an Application online, the Licensee is deemed to have signed the Application. -

Samarasekera, OC President and Vice-Chancellor Thank you, Brian. Honoured guests, ladies and gentlemen, alumni and friends, Thank you so much for joining us this afternoon. The University of Alberta is our province’s flagship university and a major point of pride for the citizens of Edmonton. We are, without a doubt, YOUR university. For more than one hundred years, the people of Alberta have strongly supported the teaching and research activities of the U of A—and we, in turn, have done our utmost to serve the province and enhance the educational, cultural, social and economic foundation of Alberta’s communities. Today on behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the university, it is my pleasure to report to you on the U of A’s accomplishments and challenges of the last year—and to give you an outline of our main plans for the year ahead. Page 2 Major investment from and collaboration with our community partners has enabled so much of what we do. Let me give you a few examples of what that support has made possible in the last year. The University of Alberta is now educating more students than ever. Our student body numbers more than 38,000. In September we welcomed just over 7500 freshmen.
