FRONT COVER TO COME 1 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot Prelogue Equal In Return (The Fact You Lack It You Are Attracted) 2 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot Introduction This is everything I see as positive for this Society, especially our struggling Modern Western Civilization’s. This is not just pure optimism, hope, dreams, wishes and will use sound logical factual structures, examples, evidences, proof, statistics, fragments, references, argumentations and will also use morals, ethics and emotions. This is an attempt to provide after each chapter primarily theoretical philosophical propositions and at the end of the book try to be unretortable on many Debate Issues. This is to dispel pessimism, failure and despair which we have watched, listened to and experienced over the years, decades, centuries and millennia even though I am no more than a realist. This is to reveal multiple coinciding realities in this world of Power, Energy, Information Technology, Science and Technology ruled by money though there is at least a very strong presence of Open Source. This to regain constructive positivism which we have somewhere lost nullifying our productivity and profit leading Planet Earth into a downward spiral of deluge, sickness and disease, economical crisis and wars. This is to bring clarity, suggestions, innovations and solutions from Observation and Experience which is the distinct realm of Philosophy. Nicht ontheil Zen Buddhism. Nicht ontheil Pythagoras. Nicht ontheil all of the Poet’s, Philosopher’s and Geniusses to date who try each and every day to improve the world. A Philosopher’s position is to reveal Truth. Truth is Commonality. I, Kyle Lance Proudfoot, firsted started these essays at York University in Toronto, Canada (1995-1996 CE) where I got a 2nd year propedeuse in Philosophy and a 1st year propedeuse in Psychology in one year. After passing with an average of about 80% overall I moved with my Mother to Netherlands since her marriage broke up and I had no means nor money to stay and get a BA, MA and/or PHD though hindsight is always 24/20 and I would have probably at best become a Teacher and not have entered IT after getting my MCSE diploma and developing websites to date. So far I have become somewhat of a middle middle middle Celebrity, System’s Engineer, Webdeveloper, Author, Artist, Actor, Musician, Poet and Philosopher. Life is a Sine Wave. The last FREE Draft chapter at Silverlingo.com and Planesofexistence.eu was uploaded in 2013. See my curriculum vitae for other qualifications, projects and works. This is Evolutionary Essays. 3 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot Intro Poem The Animal I am the animal, The Ground and the Sky And the Waters and the Sun, I am all. I feel the earth beneath my bare paw, Swimming the currents, Flying the waves, The vision of the light I can hold, I am the animal. Mine is the current to make, Eddy or whirlpool, The matter is forged as I gesture For all the Energy is mine to wield. I am all, I am animal. The Elements, Our builders of substance, Essences of Form, I am in touch with, Like no other I am. All that matter; I, 4 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot King of this Planet, Ruler of all the matters, Behold me! I am Constructor And Destroyer With the might to determine it all. Behold me! I am the maker of my own Fate: I am Human… 5 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot Aliens Blastin’ Noobs To conclude the predicament: None and All. For I have love in my heart and also believe in Theosophy, though as I define my system in The Free Show it accounts for no more than a fraction (like 1/32) of my entire Strength Of Faith structure module in it, which is the realization of the all existing God’s and Goddesses and Philosophy’s and Religion’s, not just ONLY ONE single monotheistic GOD, for we each feel happiness in a different way and what is GOD without Henchmen who helped build our Civilization’s, Planet’s, Solar System’s, Galaxy’s and Universes. I state the last one in the plural too since these fall under different Planes Of Existence, Dimension’s and Timelines within One Big Reality both internal and external in your sensory manifold from macrocosm to microcosm and from Finite to Near-Infinite to Infinity. I am not Anti Anti Anti your Monotheistic Philosophy’s and/or Religion’s which is so irritating everywhere these days from Noobies who think they know what they are going on about just cause they heard it in another Lie And Rumor Media Show, however as a fraction on Planet Earth in the somewhat blown 21st Century what would the actual percentage be… Also, when I have heard such about myself from them all I can do is hurl blow suck them cause ever since King Pendragon, King Arthur, Saint Patrick and King Edward there has been nothing but a Combined Celtic Christianity Complex for all your own CCC Complexes. This is, of course, just my own Right Of Choice (discussed in a later chapter). We see as a trend a moving away from such great extremities, unfortunately that brings Revolution and War with its upheavals through change. If you would bother to read even Islam and Judaism then you would also not be such an Anti Anti Anti Noob. Before you know it Alien’s will even show up (again) and what are you going to do, go and only Insult And Provoke them??! Well then, no one you get it right back in your faces. A Global Canadian Citizen allows for your Right Of Choice, unfortunately many systems being primarily still in Totalitarianism on both sides do not give you that and you have to Fight For Freedom just like we Fight For Peace all the time here in outdated crap living spaces with no insulations… …and all their blast diameters, now you know the true meaning of Karma for there is no single Implosion and/or Explosion which goes in only 01 direction… Nicht Ontheil Einstein… if you cause that kind of disturbance then all the other particles on Planet Earth will go and show up and stomp that whole region… To state here the other fractions of my own Philosophy’s and Religion’s is not the point and is actually NOYFB: Is this also not a Private Choice which is in your heart? The following are some (hopefully) funny phrases too help loosen up your juices and put you at ease that I am not one of those highly over-complicated long drawn out boring old dry crusty Professor’s at University’s and other School’s who put you to sleep. 6 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot ‘Name recognition is severely screwing my mind up. She’s tryin’ to lose her mind. Screw you too.’ ‘A Rose by any other Name remains the same. A Black Rose by any other Name remains the same pain.’ ‘They’re tryin’ to convert me… Is there Nothing in Everything? But about 99% of everything is nothing. Is it also 99% Light and only 1% Shadow?. Or is it a somewhat Spliffed Down The Middle mix. Are they just incoagulent?’ ‘Drunk. Free Will. Atheist. Science. Religion is like a drug. Then the Null came along: Zero Point Field.’ ‘Religion already went away in the Renaissance… Is it Israel: Checkmate. Maybe in hopes. PAY ME OFF. WAR Rules!! War is a necessity.’ ‘Thank GOD for Science!’ ‘We are the fighters for our collective warbird: A whole fleet of warbirds is certainly a Warbird.’ ‘A Dumb Shmuck wrote it down, way back then…, “The Aliens are comin’! The alien’s are comin’… Panic now and avoid the rush!”‘ ‘But then the rip came along: Alien’s and Advanced Mutant’s took control of the World!!’ ‘Near-Infinitum is close enough at unending .9’s = Infinity = Immortal = We are all Immortal = To the length of the persistent databases of Humanity = Theosophy = I would sacrifice to him and/or her = LIFE and not DEATH = unending Life = unending Death = both = neither.’ ‘You are just a nanoscopic particle on a Near-Infinite Timeline.’ ‘What is wrong with this picture? Is it not the Ideas which have always shaped the course of the Timiline and is far greater and larger than your nanoscopic body?’ ‘It ain’t blood I’m drinkin, that’s for sure. Evil = Good. It’s just a question of the beginning, the means, the method and/or the end.’ ‘Name recognition refers to the same GOD, who is defined as the Creator of all Reality.’ ‘‘Kaduh Moron’’, psis the Alien. Holy Gruesome, Spy Kill!’ ‘There massive planetary guns open fire…’ 7 Evolutionary Essays © Kyle Lance Proudfoot ‘Humanity cannot save itself versus such a superior force with its present total lack of Interplanetary Defence System’s, not to mention the total lack of Tank’s on the continent… in fact, last we checked there’s like only Russia and France with any standing Army left of any kind, America blown in failissement and China catching up rapidly…’ ‘The Civilization which had no Army to defend itself also had all its Art’s ripped off.’ ‘Poetry Ad Infinitum, Defenc Ad Absurdum.’ ‘“Oh my God, oh my Goddess… they’re comin’ down in swarms, ahhhhhh… KABOOM!!!!” The last words of a brave Cyber Soldier…’ By the fact they are in quotes they are not per se my opinion.

  • “I Know That We the New Slaves”: an Illusion of Life Analysis of Kanye West’S Yeezus
1 “I KNOW THAT WE THE NEW SLAVES”: AN ILLUSION OF LIFE ANALYSIS OF KANYE WEST’S YEEZUS A THESIS SUBMITTED TO THE GRADUATE SCHOOL IN PARTIAL FULFILLMENT OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEGREE MASTER OF ARTS BY MARGARET A. PARSON DR. KRISTEN MCCAULIFF - ADVISOR BALL STATE UNIVERSITY MUNCIE, INDIANA MAY 2017 2 ABSTRACT THESIS: “I Know That We the New Slaves”: An Illusion of Life Analysis of Kanye West’s Yeezus. STUDENT: Margaret Parson DEGREE: Master of Arts COLLEGE: College of Communication Information and Media DATE: May 2017 PAGES: 108 This work utilizes an Illusion of Life method, developed by Sellnow and Sellnow (2001) to analyze the 2013 album Yeezus by Kanye West. Through analyzing the lyrics of the album, several major arguments are made. First, Kanye West’s album Yeezus creates a new ethos to describe what it means to be a Black man in the United States. Additionally, West discusses race when looking at Black history as the foundation for this new ethos, through examples such as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nina Simone’s rhetoric, references to racist cartoons and movies, and discussion of historical events such as apartheid. West also depicts race through lyrics about the imagined Black male experience in terms of education and capitalism. Second, the score of the album is ultimately categorized and charted according to the structures proposed by Sellnow and Sellnow (2001). Ultimately, I argue that Yeezus presents several unique sounds and emotions, as well as perceptions on Black life in America. 3 Table of Contents Chapter One

the // skyway \\ the replacements mailing list issue #100 (november 24, 2016) info: www.theskyway.com www.facebook.com/thematsskyway send your submissions to [email protected] subscription info: you can send an email saying “subscribe skyway” (and hello) to [email protected] COLOR ME IMPRESSED 24 years later, issue #100. I'd say thank you for reading, but really I say thank you for writing. In the end, I have just collected and saved what everybody else has to say about the Replacements. I started because I wanted to hear what everyone else had to say and what memories they had of that band that I loved, from everywhere. So for this 100th issue, I asked 1024 Replacements fans all the questions you´d ask if you met for ten minutes and talked about their favorite band. People who hear the Replacements and just hear the sound of a loose, raucous bar band don't get why this group and its songs are held in such reverence in such a unique way. No matter which album you listen to, there is the spirit, the great songs, the guitar anthems, the colorful personalities, the legend itself of the band that could simultaneously be brilliant and a shambles and whose songs could make you simultaneously laugh and cry. The Replacements are a great story in how they failed at whatever hopes for mainstream success they pursued in a self- sabotaging way, only to reunite two decades later for a little over 30 shows only to become larger than ever and finally achieve the national acclaim they never had.

Editor‘s Note As the editor for this year‘s Chico Historian, I want to take this opportunity to thank the many people whose hard work made this volume possible. As a novice editor, I would have been absolutely helpless without the help of Frances Morrow who did the lions share of the editing. She was also the only person on the editorial board with any editing experience and her knowledge of the process along with many, many hours of her time, propelled this work to completion. I also want to thank Michael Simonovich who not only submitted a paper but also took time to read and edit many of the included articles. I personally owe Dr. Judith Raftery a debt of gratitude for offering me the opportunity to serve as editor and partake in this valuable learning experience. Dr. Stephen Lewis, who actively serves as Phi Alpha Theta advisor, was instrumental in soliciting papers. I also want to thank Dr. Carl Peterson and his wife Mary for the grant that helps fund our printing. We would all be lost without the help and guidance of our department secretary, Claudia Beaty, none of us can thank her enough. Most importantly, I am grateful to all the students who took the time to compose and submit papers. We received many excellent submissions, the best of which fill this volume. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I have. • Soviet Epistemologies and the Materialist Ontology of Poor Life
Soviet Epistemologies and the Materialist Ontology of Poor Life: Andrei Platonov, Alexander Bogdanov and Lev Vygotsky Maria CHEHONADSKIH This thesis is being submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements of The Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy, Kingston University, for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. March 2017 Abstract This thesis provides new perspectives on the epistemic conditions of pre- and post-revolutionary Soviet thought (1910s–early 1930s) and constructs a transdisciplinary entry point into a materialist ontology of ‘poor life’. The concept of poor life engages contemporary debates on class composition and individuation from the materialist viewpoint of self-organising labour causality and social mediation. The thesis opens with a critical examination of the ‘Western’ and ‘Eastern’ divide in Marxist philosophy and shifts discussion from the official doctrine of Bolshevism to the under-represented epistemologies of Empirio-Marxism and Spinozist- Hegelianism in the philosophy and political theory of Alexander Bogdanov, the writings and art criticism of Andrei Platonov and the experimental philosophy and psychology of Lev Vygotsky. A transdisciplinary, post-revolutionary logic assumes that theory should start where Marx ended and that it should act in a Marxist fashion across all conceptual and practical realms. The reconstruction of these epistemological conditions leads to an alternative philosophical genealogy of Soviet avant-garde art and the writings of Andrei Platonov. The thesis explores the connections between the Empirio-Marxism of Bogdanov and the problematic of construction, ‘life-building’ and production in the theories of the Soviet avant-garde. Bogdanov proposes an organisational ontology of the active and productive capacity of labour to compose and construct historically determined ‘life-complexes’ and orders of material relations.
