It is about a successful, young black man who takes matters into his own hands by kidnapping his daughter after life, the law, and the woman he once loved separates him from his child. That is when I met DJ Khomza who is now late, he was more than happy to share his talent and teach me the art,” he said. Walking down memory lane Shimza said it was almost immediately after learning where he was comfortable enough for playing in front of crowds including playing at his high school events. Shimza found playing for crowds his comfortable space and it just came naturally for him. Shimza said that while growing up people at home called him Shimmy or Shimane which was his nickname, “I learnt recently that my late father was actually the person that thought of the name Shimza because it was a cooler version of Shimmy.
