Back in 2018, on the flight home from Greece, we arranged a video conference for the end of May to prepare a project plan as soon as possible for the ESC 2019. Ideas and names for new routes in the Mediterranean were quickly gathered. Ibiza, Crete and Corsica were shortlisted. The disillusionment, however, came very fast as we distributed the tender with our wishes to several charter companies. At none of our desired destinations was it possible to charter 10 comparable boats. However, there was always the feedback that this was possible in Croatia, Turkey and Mallorca. The best alternative offer we received was from the Charter Company Sarres Schockemöhle for Croatia with the departure port Pirovac. Ten identical sailing yachts of the type Bavaria 46, built in 2018, were available. Croatia is not a new area for the ESC but with the offshore island world it is an exciting and varied sailing area in every respect. We were able to convince ourselves of this in October 2018 on our reconnaissance tour. It was in 2001 that we are visited Croatia first time. Since then we have sailed Croatian waters in 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2017 and we are back again in 2019. We will visit some familiar places on the way and a few places you may not have been to before. Parking in the Marina 150 kn / day, 550 kn / week 05.04.2019 4 ESC 2019 Sailing Together with Friends The tourist tax will have to be paid locally (2018 1.20 Euro per person per day) 5GB Wifi is included in the charter price The yachts will be at pier A, the office is opposite the pier There is a supermarket next to the marina. Daily opening hours 07:00h - 21:00h Spalladium Restaurant Refuelling the yachts – Information from the charter company: We advise our customers to fill up the yacht already on the day before last and to also fill up the spare can with diesel. Before the yacht is handed over, the tank is filled with the reserve can. This saves the customer a long wait at the petrol stations and allows a smooth and timely check-out. There will be a re-fuelling facility on Thursday evening in Hramina. Before you moor in Hramina Marina we urge you to visit the fuel station in the harbour. The fuel station in Hramina is the only fuel station in the area Murter / Pirovac and is a contact point for 3 large charter bases. On Friday afternoon, therefore, waiting times at the fuel station from 3 to 4 hours can be expected. With the tank already refilled on Thursday, the boats can return stress-free on Friday to Pirovac. 05.04.2019 5 ESC 2019 Sailing Together with Friends Welcome Dinner and Prizegiving Dinner Location: Restaurant Spalladium Trg, Ul. Domovinskog rata 2, 22213, Pirovac Just a 4-minute walk on the east side of the marina See the map on page 5 for the location The Welcome Dinner will commence at 19:00h The Prizegiving Dinner will commence at 19:30h The menu selection and drink prices are attached to the Bulletin Meal available on the ESC website. Remember the meal selections you submitted in advance At the restaurant each table will be asked to pay for the meals and drinks consumed Our medallions and trophies are once again provided by Poerner Gruppe and we thank them on behalf of the fleet for this continued support. Skippers’ meeting The skippers’ meeting will be held daily at 9:00am unless otherwise notified. The location will be notified by the Commodore. All skippers and co-skippers are welcome. The day’s course(s) will be given at the briefing, but may be modified later by the Race Officer by VHF while sailing. An approximate starting time and starting line will be announced at the meeting. Awards for the previous day’s sailing will be made at the Skippers’ meeting. The final day awards and the overall awards will be made at the farewell dinner Mooring Fees All Skippers are responsible for their own mooring fees as usual. The normal practice is that the ship papers are collected by the harbour master, sometimes minutes after berthing, before departure the next day arrange to pay the charge and collect the ships papers. Entertainment events Sunday evening Commodore boat invitation The Commodore Team invites you all to a Bavarian Vespers and fresh beer on the jetty in the ACI-marina, Jezera Monday evening Dinghy race We plan to hold the traditional dinghy race on Monday evening in Kaprije This year we ask you to provide three athletic crew members for the race. The team, equipped with life jackets, dinghy (without motor, but with paddle) and a tablespoon, will receive the detailed information for the race 10 minutes before the start. Analizira se prostorna diferencijacija demografskog starenja na razini mikroregija u županiji, na razini gradova/općina te naselja. Dana je i usporedba starenja stanovništva hrvatskih županija iz čega proizlazi da Šibensko-kninska županija, zajedno s Ličko-senjskom, ima najstarije stanovništvo u Hrvatskoj. Starenje u Šibensko-kninskoj županiji, uvjetovano izrazitim ruralnim egzodusom koji je bio intenzivan od kraja 60-ih i početkom 70-ih godina 20. stoljeća te kontinuiranim smanjivanjem fertiliteta i naslijeđenom starosnom strukturom, prisutno je na svim teritorijalnim razinama Županije. J. F. Kennedya 7, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia [email protected] Abstract Main aim of regional policy is to reduce regional disparities. There is now doubt that action to tackle regional disparities is needed in Croatia. Main problem is the definition of region as a subject of regional policy. After discussion about definition of region and main criteria which should be considered during the process of establishment of regions, the paper will present one of the methodologies for spatial-economic entities' classification. The methodology will be used on the working sample of several Croatian counties. The classification will be obtained through use of multivariate statistical methods, and it is based on a wide number of demographic, economic, educations, employment indicators. Results leads to the identification of several axes of socio- economic characterisation, and the division of the observed territory into several homogenous clusters, regions with different degree of development. The main conclusion is that socio-economic reorients uncovered with this methodology provide useful characterisation and division of the territory, for policy making purpose. Division proposals depend on criteria used.     Chapter 3 Rural tourism in the surroundings of Krka National Park: factors of development and spatial impacts Petra Radeljak Kaufmann Abstract This chapter focuses on the development of rural tourism in the area surrounding Krka National Park, situated in northern Dalmatia. Via various functions, especially tourism and recrea- tion, protected areas can influence local development. Since the 1960s, settlements in the surroundings of Krka National Park have faced challenges related to depopulation and socio-econom- ic development. The goal of this chapter is to analyse factors of re- cent intense development of rural tourism, its spatial impacts in the immediate vicinity of the Park, and various potentials for fur- ther development. These trends should be looked at in the frame- work of tourism development of the Park itself, as well as tour- ism development trends in the interior of Dalmatia. A case study of the Town of Drniš was conducted to closely examine recent trends and the potential for development of rural tourism in the near future. It provides a synthesis of data also presented in a database that enables detailed analysis and comparison with previous years. Reference is made to the data sources and some easily noticeable curiosities are highlighted. In the period 2015-2016, counties, cities and municipalities received almost one billion kuna in EU grants, much more than in previous years. Almost half of that amount was utilized by counties, about one third by cities and less than a fifth by municipalities. It is noteworthy, however, that almost half of cities and over three quarters of municipalities used no grants at all in the reference period. EU GRANTS European Union grants (EU funds) are intended to (co)finance specific projects and programmes used for the promotion and implementation of particular EU policies (e.g. regional development, employment, social inclusion, research and innovation, etc.). The bulk of the grants is allocated in collaboration with the national and regional authorities from five major funds (the so-called European structural and investment funds – ESI), and the rest goes to the recipients directly.
