Pressemitteilung zu Suicide Silence Die Deathcore-Legenden Suicide Silence ist am 03.07.2020 live im Logo in Hamburg zu Gast Hamburg, Februar 2020 – Fette Riffs, drückende Beats und groovender Sound gepaart mit einer der markerschütterndsten Stimmen, die die Metal-Welt zu bieten hat. Mit dem aktuellen Album „Become The Hunter“ beweisen Suicide Silence, dass sie zu Recht die Deathcore-Legenden überhaupt sind! Am 03.07.2020 sind sie zu Gast im Logo in Hamburg. Gegründet in 2002 in Riverside, Kalifornien dauerte es erst einmal fünf Jahre, ehe im September 2007 das erste Album „The Cleansing“ veröffentlicht wurde und das bis dato für Century Media meistverkaufte Debütalbum einer Band überhaupt wurde! Und so brach eine glorreiche Zeit für die Pioniere des Deathcore an, welche leider durch den tragischen Unfalltod von Sänger Mitch Lucker in 2012 unterbrochen wurde. Ein Jahr später wurde bekanntgegeben, dass es mit Suicide Silence weitergehen wird und dass Eddie Hermida, ehemals Sänger bei All Shall Perish den Platz von Mitch Lucker einnehmen würde! Nach ersten Hörproben war schnell klar, dass Hermida genau der Richtige ist, um in die gewaltigen Fußstapfen von Lucker zu treten. Trotz verschiedener Genreausflüge auf den letzten Bandveröffentlichungen geht es nun aber seit dem 14. Februar 2020 wieder ungehalten nach vorne. Mit „Become The Hunter“ beweisen Suicide Silence, dass ihnen die Wurzeln des Genres nicht abhanden gekommen sind und sie zu Recht die Deathcore- Legenden überhaupt sind. Im Sommer 2020 heißt es also, Blinker links und unaufhörlich auf der Überholspur entlang, wie eine Dampfwalze, die mit 250 Sachen voran hämmert und keine Zeit für Ruhe und Erholung lässt! I examine three significant roles – musicians, audiences, and mediators, and focus on the interaction between the localized Chinese metal scene and metal globalization. This thesis project uses multiple methods, including textual analysis, observation, surveys, and in-depth interviews. In this thesis, I illustrate an image of the Chinese metal scene, present the characteristics and the development of metal musicians, fans, and mediators in China, discuss their contributions to scene’s construction, and analyze various internal and external factors that influence the localization of metal in China. After that, I argue that the development and the localization of the metal scene in China goes through three stages, the emerging stage (1988-1996), the underground stage (1997-2005), the indie stage (2006-present), with Chinese characteristics. Oplev dem live, når de den 3. august ligger vejen forbi Lille VEGA. Det amerikanske deathcore-band Suicide Silence har været gennem lidt af hvert, siden de blev dannet i 2002, men især de seneste to års begivenheder har påvirket bandet og deres nyeste plade You Can’t Stop Me (2014). Tragedier gør stærkere I 2012 omkommer Suicide Silence-forsanger Mitch Lucker i en tragisk motorcykelulykke, og bandet lukker ned i et år, indtil de i oktober 2013 beslutter sig for at fortsætte som band med den nye forsanger Hernan ”Eddie” Hermida i spidsen. Herefter begynder arbejdet på en ny plade, som bliver til bandets fjerde fuldlængdealbum, You Can’t Stop Me, der udkommer i sommeren 2014. Suicide Silence har selv udtalt, at albummet er deres mest følelsesladede til dato. Det er skabt med blod, sved og en masse tårer, hvilket de mener, gør det til deres vigtigste udgivelse til nu, og fortjener i den grad at blive hørt. La finalité étant que vous foulerez quelques années encore les terres Clissonnaises si vous participez aux prochains Hellfest « nouvelle formule » à partir de 2012 ! Alors évidemment, le succès tout relatif du Hellfest, qui ne s’est pas fait en un jour, a finit par attiser des convoitises et nous avons vu fleurir plusieurs projets… certains ont vu le jour en toute modestie pour, nous l’espérons, être appelés à se développer.

The Fiery Furnaces (4), formed by Matthew Friedberger and Eleanor Friedberger, siblings from Chicago who relocated to New York, exhibited a versatile and multi-faceted style on Gallowsbird's Bark (2003). Anti- crooning vocals and spiked guitar riffs as well as wildly unstable dynamics evoked the Rolling Stones at their most drunken/deranged, or Captain Beefheart's Magic Band fronted by Janis Joplin. At the same time the exuberant neglect of their arrangements was reminiscent of Pere Ubu. Blueberry Boat (2004) stretched out into longer and more ambitious songs, collages of genres and tours de force of arrangement (including electronic keyboards) that were meant to create a new form of musical theater. That form came to life on Rehearsing My Choir (2005), a work structured as a dialogue between an older woman and a younger one over a substratum of eccentric and cacophonous sounds.
