EXPERIMENTS DEVELOPED:

 Isolated a new type of enzyme, which is responsible for the biodegradation of lignin.  Polyphosphate ester as a new reagent for the cyclodehydration of Aroyl hydrazides.  A new method for the synthesis of 1-aryl isoquinolines.  Developed new methods for the synthesis of non-sugar based nucleosides.
