Tämä työ on osa tutkimuskokonaisuutta, jossa selvitetään hauraan rakenteen kehitystä kallioperässä. Kohteena on ollut Satakun- nan post-Svekofenniset kivet: rapakivi, hiekkakivi ja oliviinidiabaasi. Raportissa kuva- taan havainnointi- ja tutkimusmenetelmää kolmen esimerkkikohteen avulla: oliviini- diabaasi Porin Kallossa, hiekkakivi Nakkilassa, Leistiläjärvellä ja rapakivi Lapin kes- kustassa. Olemme keskittyneet kallioperän rakojen geometriaan ja kinematiikkaan. Kohdekohtaisesti kuvataan raot ja siirrokset, niiden suunnat ja ominaisuudet sekä rako- ja rakoilurakenteet. Pyrimme selvittämään rakojen avulla palaeojännitysten suuntia ja hauraiden rakenteiden kehityshistoriaa. Tutkimuksia tullaan jatkamaan Satakunnassa kesän 2009 kenttätöiden lisäksi aiemmin koottujen aineistojen pohjalta. Tutkimustulok- sia voidaan hyödyntää -

Copyright © ECMI 2017 This article is located at: http://www.ecmi.de/fileadmin/downloads/publications/JEMIE/201 7/Carlsson.pdf Navigating Two Languages - Immigrant Integration Policies in Bilingual Finland Nina Carlsson Södertörn University Abstract Immigration into states with historical linguistic minorities creates the dilemma of which language newly arrived immigrants should learn in the state-provided integration programmes. Research has shown how territorially concentrated historical minorities have used immigrants to favour their own nation-building projects. While these minorities to some extent operate like a majority within their federal state or province, this paper explores how constitutionally bilingual Finland, having a Swedish-speaking non-territorial minority with the same linguistic rights as the majority, governs immigrant integration. It investigates the implications of the strong legal and weak societal status of Swedish for immigrant integration by connecting scholarship on liberal multiculturalism and integration in multilingual states to laws, reports and interviews on integration in Swedish-speaking Finland. It shows tensions between Finland-Swedish integration aspirations and state level policies promoting a majority-monolingual integration. Unlike minorities with federal protection, the non-territorial Swedish-speaking minority largely relies on the voluntary choice of immigrants to choose Swedish as their language of integration. Structural obstacles, however, hinder this choice in bilingual regions, having resulted in political debates and actions. This article bridges research on Finnish multiculturalism and research on integration policy in contexts where historical minorities are present by introducing a non-territorial, formerly dominant minority to the research field. -

Tarkoituksena oli myös selvittää, millainen on leirintäalueen asiakasprofiili. Lisäksi pyrittiin saamaan ehdotuksia siitä, miten leirin- täalueen toimintaa ja palveluja voitaisiin edelleen kehittää ja parantaa. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa käsiteltiin asiakastyytyväisyyttä, asiakaspalvelua, palvelun laatua ja asiakasprofiilia. Lisäksi selvitettiin leirintämatkailua, tyypillisiä leirintämatkailijoita ja Siikarannan leirintäalueen toimintaa. Työssä perehdyttiin myös tutkimuksessa käytettävään tutkimusmenetelmään ja asiakastyytyväisyyden tutkimiseen sekä kyselylomakkeen laatimiseen. Tutkimusmenetelmänä käytettiin kvantitatiivista eli määrällistä tutkimusmuotoa. Tutkimusaineisto kerättiin paperisella kyselylomaketutkimuksella Siikaranta Cam- ping -leirintäalueella reilun kahden kuukauden aikana 20.6. - 28.8.2011. Finland is the country richest in waters and more of the richest in islands in Europe. We boast 76,000 islands with an area of 0.5 hectares or more, 56,000 lakes with an area of one hectare or more, 36,800 kilome- tres of river bed wider than fi ve metres and 336,000 kilometres of shore- eemeli / peltonen vAStAvAlo line. Every Finnish municipality has waters, and most contain islands. The number of islands with either permanent or part-time inhabitants amounts to around 20,000. Every island, lake and river has its place in the hearts of Finns. This brochure describes these unique riches. Its multitude of islands and waters makes the Finnish landscape frag- mented, creating extra costs for the economy, the State and local author- ities, but it is also an incomparable resource. Our islands, seas, lakes, riv- ers and shores are excellent regional assets in a world that thrives increas- ingly on producing unique experiences. Island municipalities and part- island municipalities boast a large range of sources of livelihood, although structural changes have decreased the number of jobs over the years. -

Use of renewable energy sources is one solution to decrease green house gas emissions and the use of polluting fossil fuels. Renewables differ in their environmental and societal impacts, and to design sound renewable energy policy, societies need to assess the trade-offs between alternative sources. To enable the evaluation and comparison of renewable energy production alternatives in Finland, this paper applies the choice experiment to elicit the monetary information on people’s preferences for four renewable energy sources: wind power, hydro power and energy from crops and wood, and considers four impacts of energy production: effects on biodiversity, local jobs, carbon emissions and household’s electricity bill. The nested logit analysis reveals that higher income, female gender, and young age increase the probability to choose renewable energy instead of the current energy mix. Wind power is, on average, the most popular renewable energy technology, but regional differences exist. The national aggregate willingness to pay for a combination of renewable energy technologies that corresponds to Finland’s climate change and energy policy is over 600 million euros. -
