Please support the food trucks' ability to serve the busy workers of the Fed! Some of us who are in locations far away from the downtown restaurant zone are really well- served by the fresh and imaginative new small businesses rolling in from all over. It makes for a more efficient workday for long-distance commuters who sometimes have precious little time to stand on lines at overcrowded cafeterias. The trucks have increased productivity and general happiness as we are having lunchtime meetings picnic style or chance mingling encounters with new colleagues outside our offices with the great options El Cubano, Fojol Bros, Curbside Cupcake and Sauca have brought the roadside table. The new food vending trucks have continued to add joy to a lot of consumers lives in D.C. and expand the pie of the food business market. Rather than sitting in their cubicles for lunch, people are out enjoying the sun, exploring their downtown locations and frequenting more food trucks/retails locations in general. It's a win-win. The Fojol Bros are a unique experience and it will be a shame if they are no longer in service.
