Carolina is now offering telehealth services for oral medicine! Oral medicine specialists provide specialized oral of medically complex patients as well as diagnose and treat medical disorders that affect the mouth.

At your free initial appointment, the patient care coordinator will go over your health history. They will help set up your next appointment: a video consultation with one of our providers.

The oral medicine telehealth service participates with all medical insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid.

How do I know if I need oral medicine services? If you are experiencing a condition below, you may benefit from oral medicine: Mouth sores Dry mouth Oral problems associated with cancer treatment TMJ disorders Non-tooth related facial pain Oral evaluation prior to cancer treatment, organ transplant or heart

What if I need additional assistance? A social worker is also available to help you meet your health goals by providing brief counseling for a range of health behaviors that impact your oral health, as well as connecting you with local health care providers in your area if needed. Social work services include: Brief, time-limited counseling for tobacco, alcohol or substance use Connecting patients to community organizations for support with basic needs
