Music events occur in great amount on a daily basis and it is important to plan and produce them in the right manner in order to stay relevant and secure one‟s place on the market. This report introduces various crucial matters that require attention during event organization process, such as marketing and strategic planning, communication and promotion, risk management, event programming and capacity management, to name a few. The 5-phase project management model is applied as the base on which this thesis is built. The research is conducted by comparing the theoretical and practical approach used in the music event business. The practical approach is based on examinations and interviews with the world market leader in live entertainment – Live Nation. An additional analysis of practices used in other large and successful music events in Europe and USA is also conducted. As this thesis shows, the practical approach is often easier and less rigorous than the theory. Some of the steps in this process may be simply omitted due to being considered of little relevance by the management team, many other are outsourced to professional agencies depending on requirements (security, catering).

The ).essons wert produced by 30 foreign language teachers, each of whom was required to write a brief report on how techniques and methods of instruction covered in each workshop session could be incorporated into lesson planning, and to create an actual lesson plan based on the report. Most were successfully implemented before inclusion in the collection. While the reports and plans are language-specific, the activities can be adapted for any modern language. Strategies on which the lessons are built include confidence-building, student-centered communication, use of audio-visual materials, development of oral/aural skills, increasing motivation, introducing and stimulating cultural awareness and appreciation, and evaluating skill development. December 20, 2017: Chris Pasin and Friends – ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ Deep Roots, David McGee Here’s a holiday outing that should satisfy traditionalists and adventurous spirits alike, a true rarity. Trumpeter/flugelhorn master Chris Pasin, whose resume includes several years touring as a soloist with Buddy Rich and backing giants on the order of Sinatra, Torme, Sarah Vaughn, Nancy Wilson, Ray Charles and Tony Bennett, as well crafting his own projects with some of New York’s finest jazz players, has brought some Gotham friends together, along with upstate New York-based vocalist Patricia Dalton Fennell (in a dual role as vocalist and producer), and given the holiday season the scintillating Baby It’s Cold Outside. For those more interested in new insights into seasonal warhorses, Pasin and friends offer a five-and-a- half-minute journey through “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” featuring discursive solos by Pasin on trumpet and pianist Armen Donelian, as well as a tasty drum-and-bass dialogue between Jeff Siegel and Ira Coleman, respectively, plus a couple of nice tempo changes for added texture. Similarly, “We Three Kings of Orient Are” is almost unrecognizable when Pasin soars into upper register impressionistic flurries before giving way to Donelian skittering across the keys and taking the melody line into uncharted waters over the course of six-and-a-half minutes.

  • Biography Kwame “Akompreko” Bediako
Biography Kwame “Akompreko” Bediako Musician and poet Kwame “Akompreko” Bediako credits his musical upbringing to his elders and his general environment of his home back in Ghana (West Africa), where his roots first blossomed. “Back at home there was always drumming, singing, and dancing. Traditionally almost everyone can sing and dance so embracing the professional idea was a slower process, but most things happen empirically anyway,” says Kwame. In addition to his heritage/culture and elders, Kwame also attributes his musical talents and stage presence to Bob Marley and Tom Waits, two of his biggest musical influences. Kwame and his band, Wan Afrika, exudes positive energy in their live performances, while simultaneously addressing the joys and sorrows of humanity within the music. From this Kwame has earned another moniker as Africa’s High Priest of Roots Reggae. “To educate and entertain is the goal. We are proponents of the knowledge of the self, and we advocate a One Africa. We are taking learning beyond the traditional classroom. The Akans say ‘Yeenom nsa na yee fa adwen.’” The band has performed throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, his homeland Ghana, and with the 2012 United Nations sponsored "International Year of People of Afrikan Descent" (IYPAD) tour. Kwame has shared the bill with notables like the Wailers, Third World, Mutabaruka, Pato Banton, Sonny Ade, Wailing Souls, Sonny Okusun and many others. Kwame has been the recipient of many industry awards and honorable mentions including: Martin International's Chicago Reggae Music Awards "Best Artist" and "Most Culture-Oriented Band." “The Lord gave the word and great is the company that publishes it, and the word here is One Africa, meaning a united Africa.
