Ice Hockey is a team sport where players try to score points by hitting a puck into a goal while skating on an ice rink. There are six players from each team playing at one time.

Ice hockey is a fast-paced, contact sport. Injuries while playing hockey occur frequently. Protective equipment is highly recommended and is required in all hockey leagues.

Lacrosse is a contact team sport that uses a lacrosse stick. You use the stick to catch, carry, pass, and then a ball into the opponent’s goal.

Professional lacrosse games are typically 60 minutes. Each team has ten players on the field at one time.

The modern lacrosse stick is a long stick with a loose net on one end. Modern lacrosse balls are made of rubber.

Rugby

Rugby is a contact team sport similar to . The objective of the game is for a team to get a ball on or past the opposing team’s goal line. Thirteen members of each team play on the field at a time.

Although rugby is a contact sport, players are not required to wear any extra padding or protection except for a mouth guard.

Some players also choose to wear a scrum cap to protect their ears. Players usually wear cleats, as well.

Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport where players try to hit the ball over a net to the other team’s side of the court.

During a volleyball game, there are six players from each team on the court. Each team is allowed to hit the ball a maximum of three times in order to return the ball over the net.

Ultimate Frisbee

Ultimate Frisbee is a non- contact sport. This means that the players do not touch each other during the game. Players score points using a flying disk, or Frisbee. The players score by passing the Frisbee past the opposing team’s goal line. Players are not allowed to run while holding the Frisbee. The Frisbee is constantly passed down the field. Seven players from each team play on the field at one time.
