TIMETABLE FOR TO SHOPPA MARKET DAY BUS SERVICE

The detailed timetable for Grayshott Market’s SHOPPA bus service, set to run for the first time on March 21, is being published today.

Starting from Liphook station at 0930hrs, the SHOPPA bus will make 5 stops en route to Grayshott. These will be at the bus stop outside Sainsbury’s Liphook store, the bus stop outside the Anchor Pub, the junction of Tower Road and the Mead, Place and Bramshott Village at the junction of Church Rd and the Road, leading onto the A3.

SHOPPA will disembark passengers at the bus stop opposite Grayshott’s Fox & Pelican Pub within 50yds of the Market. The first return journey will be at 0955hrs from the bus stop opposite.

“We want to encourage as many visitors as possible to use SHOPPA. Not only can it help alleviate parking congestion in Grayshott, but we hope it will give those in Liphook and surrounding areas the opportunity to visit our outstanding food, craft and antiques Market and browse our wonderful shops,” explains the Rev Moray Thomas, Chairman of Grayshott’s Square Events Group. “SHOPPA will also give non driving members of our Grayshott community the opportunity to go Liphook and visit some of the excellent shops there, including the large Sainsbury’s store” he adds.

Store on Saturdays 7th and 14th March. The cost of a return trip on SHOPPA is set to be £1.00. Children under 10 travel free.

The Grayshott Market started in April 2014 and runs on the third Saturday of every month from March to November in Grayshott Square It is open from 1000hrs to 1500hrs. Averaging around 30 stalls, the main focus is food - food to eat at the Market plus a wide selection to take home. Traditional fayre includes hand crafted pies, pulled pork burgers, handmade chocolate truffles, artisan breads, cakes, patés, cheeses, jams, sauces plus more exotic foods including samosas, noodles, sushi, Pad Thai and tastes from Nepal. Grayshott Wines will be offering tastes of speciality wines too.

Other stalls include Moroccan leather ware, herbal remedies, arts, crafts and antiques.

The main sponsor of Grayshott Market is Applegarth, the thriving restaurant and farm shop that sells a wide range of locally sourced and specialist fine food products.

Editorial information The SHOPPA service is run by Hoppa, a dedicated community transport service, part funded by Waverley council funding. Its staff consists of a small, dedicated group of professionals and a team of trained drivers. These in turn are supported by a voluntary board of directors. It has Charitable Status. In addition to Waverley council funding, it also receives support from local businesses and other organisations.
