SDSN NETWORKS IN ACTION 2020 Introduction to the SDSN’s Networks Program

n 2015, 193 countries adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity, for people and Ithe planet. The transformation that is needed to make this vision a reality is enormous in scale and complex. Universities are well-positioned to support this transition. They develop new technologies, business models, and governance frameworks; train future leaders to be global- ly-conscious and innovative; and have a proven track record working with diverse stakeholders, including governments, the private sector, civil society, and international organizations.
