Watch • Have A Go • Discover 2015 With 9000 people through the gates, over 300 competitors dancing, piping and throwing, 102 stall holders selling their wares, 200 volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes, 350 bottles of Hororata Whisky sold and one awestruck Chieftain who travelled from Scotland for the event, this was the biggest Hororata Highland Games yet. Five years on the community’s passion is just as strong and this passion flows through the whole event, giving it a very special atmosphere, like no other. The Hororata Highland Games has become a ‘must see’ fixture on the Canterbury event calendar attracting people from throughout New Zealand and internationally. “We loved it and have recommended to m a n y o t h e r s .
