Goshen Theatre Project (GTP) is proud to present this fantasmagorical ride, running August 9-11, 2018 at McKendree University, Hettenhausen Center for the Arts. An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The family joins forces with Truly Scrumptious and batty Grandpa Potts to outwit the dastardly Baron and Baroness and their villainous henchman, the Child Catcher. Based on the classic MGM motion picture this truly scrumptious musical is filled with catchy tunes and quirky characters from Ian Flemming’s (author of the James Bond series) original works. The original Chitty car is famed for being the most expensive prop in history, and GTP’s car is no exception! You don’t want to miss Chitty herself riding, floating, flying, and honking live on stage. Don’t miss your chance to see this incredible production and take your very own ride in Chitty for three days only! August 9-11, 2018 7:30pm McKendree University, Hettenhausen center for the Arts.
