Adventure. Hundreds of chapters worldwide link members into local fandom as well as the International organization. As a member of STARFLEET, you will receive a membership packet containing the basic supplies you need top get started on the road to becoming an active member in your local club. This packet contains: your membership certificate and card, a copy of the Membership Handbook, the Vessel Registry [a book containing all active chapters in the Fleet], a memo pad, and a application to Starfleet Academy. The membership handbook will introduce you to STARFLEET’s unique infrastructure that offers two membership options. One allows you to be an associate member with no obligation other than receiving membership materials and newsletters. The other option provides a more futuristic atmosphere for the fan intrigued by the Fleet structure within the Star Trek universe. After receiving the membership package you will have the opportunity to sign aboard the chapter of your choice, hold a fictional rank and posi- tion and take part in that chapter’s Star Trek related activities and community service endeavors, and other projects. Another service of STARFLEET is the COMMUNIQUE, our bi-monthly magazine, written by and for our members. The COMMUNIQUE contains current information on STARFLEET operations and chapter activities, list of upcoming conventions, news and information on STAR TREK media and articles on the space program and other areas of interest to members. The STARFLEET ACADEMY, mentioned above, is just that: our own academy based upon the various subjects in Star Trek. It is avail- able to you as a member, and all courses are conducted via the mail. Participation in these courses is fun and can increase your knowledge in today’s level of science and medicine, not to mention that some of them are quite challenging. Are you up to the challenge? Annually, STARFLEET awards one cash scholarship from each of the scholarship funds listed at the bottom of this application to deserving STARFLEET members. The bombing of Pearl Harbor was a huge tragedy for the United States. The Attack on Pearl Harbor is one of the most devastating attacks in U.S History and one of the most devastating defeats in U.S History. Not only did Japan get triumph from the attack, it would come back to bite them with huge casualties and two of their own bombing tragedy´s at the end of the war. The event soured relations with Japan and forced us to do something we normally wouldn't do that often, use violence to get peace. The attack changed history forever by forcing the U.S into fighting in WW2, it helped shape the modern world to how it is today, and made a lot of nations feel the guilt, reflection, and self-questioning that followed the Second World War. Now today, it has been replaced by resurgent nationalism on both sides of the globe. Before the attack, a war had been going on in Asia and Europe since 1937. Also political events were leading up to the attack. Japan had not always been a threat to other countries. At one time, Japan had mostly closed itself off from the rest of the world. In the 1630s, Japanese Military leaders called shoguns barred almost all foreigners from entering the country.

    THE STARFLEET REGISTRY RESEARCHED AND COMPILED BY JOHN W. BULLERWELL Introduction What you hold is perhaps the most comprehensive listing of the NCC- and NX- Federation Starfleet registration numbers ever created. Unfortunately, as comprehensive as it is, it is also confusing, error filled and riddled with mysteries. These numbers are from the entirety of fandom and canon. If you’re looking for a work of completely canon numbers and nothing else, this is not the document for you. Because the majority of these numbers come from fandom, there are a lot of discrepancies, and a lot of replication. There are numerous considerations I needed to make in compiling the list. For instance, I worked under the assumption that a ship with a lettered suffix (for example NCC-1234-C) is carrying a registry ‘tradition’, like the Enterprise. Therefore, if fandom listed a NCC-XXX-A U.S.S. No Name, I assumed the was a NCC-XXX (no suffix) No Name as well. While this is indeed very unlikely, I included them for the sake of completeness, as the original originator likely intended. Also, spellings in this document are intentional. If a ships name was Merrimac, I did not change it to Merrimack, or vice-versa. Again, it is assumed that the originator of the ship’s name/number intended their spelling to be correct. Some vessels had the same names and numbers, but were listed under two different class names. An example of this would be the Orka-class and the Clarke-class. Both classes had the same ships and numbers.
