EVIL COMMUNICATIONS CORRUPT GOOD MANNERS (1Cor.15:33) 1 Cor 15:33 Be not (1)deceived: (2)evil (3)communications (4)corrupt good (5)manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.(KJV) Definitions:(1)deceived-4105 planao (plan-ah'-o);-from 4106; to (properly, cause to) roam (from safety, truth, or virtue): KJV-- go astray, deceive, err, seduce, wander, be out of the way.1) to cause to stray, to lead astray, to lead aside from the right way, to go astray, to wander, to roam about 2) metaphorically: a) to lead away from the truth, to lead into error, to deceive (John 17:17)….(2)evil-2556 kakos (kak-os');-1) used of a bad nature: not such as it ought to be 2) used of a mode of thinking, feeling, acting: base, wrong, wicked 3) troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive, baneful….(3)communications-3657 homilia (hom-il-ee'-ah);-from 3658; companionship ("homily"), i.e. (by implication) intercourse: KJV—communication, communion. (4)corrupt-5351 phtheiro (fthi'-ro);-probably strengthened from phthio (to pine or waste); properly, to shrivel or wither, i.e. to spoil (by any process) or (generally) to ruin (especially figuratively, by moral influences, to deprave) b) to lead away a Christian congregation from that state of knowledge and holiness in which it ought to abide: KJV-- corrupt (self), defile, destroy. (5)manners-2239 ethos (ay'-thos); a strengthened form of 1485; usage, i.e. (plural) moral habits, custom, character: KJV-- manners. 1 Cor 15:33 ... In composition it has similar applications, including completeness.
