Het inspireren en verbinden van deze grote groep is een uitdaging in een samenleving die steeds meer gericht is op het individu. Tennissers delen steeds meer hun eigen tijd in, onder hun eigen voorwaarden. De samenleving verandert en de KNLTB verandert mee. Als aanjager van tennis in Nederland wil de KNLTB zo veel mogelijk mensen meer laten tennissen en er voor zorgen dat zij dat ook blijven doen. Dit doen we door alle partijen die bij onze sport betrokken zijn te inspireren en te verbinden, door de zichtbaarheid van en de beleving van tennis te vergroten én daarnaast goed te luisteren naar de wensen en behoeften van onze tennissers en verenigingen. Met grote topevenementen, als het ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament en het Libéma Open, vergroten we de populariteit en zichtbaarheid van de tennissport. Door de inzet van verschillende communicatiekanalen brengen we de beleving rond het nationale en internationale toptennis voor het voetlicht en zijn we tevens gids in tennisland. Successen van tennishelden motiveren en inspireren, maar het werkt ook andersom: toptennis is gebaat bij een brede basis.

    EN 2019 BNP PARIBAS RENFORCE SON ENGAGEMENT DANS LE TENNIS ET SON SOUTIEN DES JEUNES GENERATIONS TROIS PROGRAMMES DE FORMATION EN FRANCE ET AUX ETATS-UNIS Les jeunes espoirs du tennis, en France comme aux Etats-Unis, font face au double défi de l’accès et du coût de la formation – qui représente plusieurs dizaines de milliers d’euros par an – pour atteindre le plus haut niveau. En mai 2018, BNP Paribas lançait l’initiative ‘Team BNP Paribas Jeunes Talents’, parrainée par Jo-Wilfried Tsonga et en association avec la FFT, pour multiplier les chances des espoirs les plus méritants du tennis français d’accéder au plus haut niveau. En 2019, avec la création de deux nouveaux programmes de formation des jeunes joueurs, dont un aux Etats-Unis, BNP Paribas renforce son engagement dans le tennis et confirme son attachement à construire le tennis de demain. · Une équipe de jeunes joueurs américains, la ‘Team BNP Paribas Mac 1’, entraînée à New York par John et Patrick McEnroe. He is seeking his first NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters crown. In 2018, he has captured the Open de France and Rome titles. Fernandez turned pro in 2008 and had his first major breakthrough in 2011, when he won the singles gold at the Parapan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. Fernandez also represented Argentina in the 2012 Paralympics in London and in Rio in 2016, where he reached the singles quarterfinals both times. He has played for his country in the World Team Cup 11 times as a pro player and as a junior player. In doubles, Fernandez peaked at No. 5 in the world in May 2016 and holds two Grand Slam doubles titles. He has been in a wheelchair since he was just over a year old, when he fell out of a chair and suffered a spinal cord injury.
