SECTION 1. Short title 2. Amendment of Schedule to Cap. 02:06
An Act to amend the National Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Act.
Date of Assent: 28.08.19 Date of Commencement: 28.08.19 ENACTED by the Parliament of Botswana.
1. This Act may be cited as the National Assembly (Salaries and Short title Allowances) (Amendment) Act, 2019. 2. The Schedule to the Act is amended by substituting for paragraph Amendment of Schedule 4, the following new paragraph — to Cap. 02:06
“Constituency 4. Every Member, shall receive an allowance calculated allowance a s fo U o w s _ (a) for a Member representing one of the following constituencies —
Boteti East Boteti West Chobe Ghanzi North Ghanzi South Jwaneng - Mabutsane Kgalagadi North Kgalagadi South Letlhakeng - Lephephe Maun East Nata - Gweta Ngami Okavango Takatokwane
at the rate of P202,812 per annum; (b) for a Member representing one of the following constituencies —
Bobonong Goodhope - Mabule Kanye South Lentsweletau - Mmopane Lerala - Maunatlala Mahalapye East Maun West Mmadinare Mmathethe - Molapowabojang Mochudi East Mochudi West Moshupa - Manyana Nkange Sefhare - Ramokgonami Serowe North Serowe South Serowe West Shashe West Shoshong Tati East Tati West Tonota at the rate of P I92,696 per annum;
(c) for a Member representing one of the following constituencies —
Francistown East Francistown South Francistown West Gabane - Mmankgodi Gaborone Bonnington North Gaborone Bonnington South Gaborone Central Gaborone North Gaborone South Kanye North Lobatse Mahalapye West Mogoditshane Molepolole North Molepolole South Palapye Ramotswa Selebi-Phikwe East Selebi-Phikwe West Thamaga - Kumakwane Tlokweng
at the rate of PI 83,060 per annum; and
(d) for a Specially Elected Member and the Speaker of the National Assembly, at the rate of P I65, 228 per annum.”.
