Historically, the sport was created a result of the human need that individuals and groups of people nurture and improve their own mental and physical abilities and skills. After that, the sport soon acquired a competitive character, so that today sport has also gained a global economic aspect. However, in addition to the above- mentioned aspects of observation of sports, one cannot ignore the fact that during the entire period of existence of sport, one segment was closely related to sports, that is security in all its forms. Namely, due to many factors, security has always been closely connected with the sport, regardless of how the security is observed – as well as the personal security of the athletes during exercising, as well as the security of the athletes during the competition, as well as the security of the very competition and the competition, as well as the security of the public during the competitions... Also, the fact that the sport, especially lately, has had distinct political reflections, which makes the security aspect of perceiving the sports much more complicated. It should be also added that the sport has now largely overcome the concept it used to have only one century ago, and that it has largely outgrown the Olympic spirit of sport, becoming a global worldwide industry having an impact on supranational, national, local and personal levels. Obviously, this is directly reflected on the security. Therefore, the connection between sport and security is understandable, as well as the inevitability and causality of this relationship. However, it can be hardly said that the qualitative segment of sport and security is evident and understandable, especially in the general public, although this relationship is not fully defined for the professional public also. Although the connection between sport and security is not disputed, the fact is that this connection is generally viewed through the safety of the competitors during the competition and through the segment of violence in sport which is a sort of side-effect of modern globalization of sport, athletes and sports competitions. While these are certainly relevant segments of the qualitative connection 9 between security and sport, other relationships such as the safety of the athletes during training and competition (personal safety), security of specific sports discipline for competition, security of facilities for sports and competition, security of the competition, the security of impact of sports and sports activities at the local and national levels should not be neglected certainly. All of the mentioned above, as well as other segments of this complex interdependence are the essence and content of the connection between security and sport, and they can only together provide an understanding of the interaction which the sport has on safety and vice versa. However, the fact is that both the qualitative and quantitative relationship between security and sport is examined superficially and fragmentarily, which results in the need for a more comprehensive examination of this relationship. In this regard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Administration for Police Education, initiated the research project Security and sport with the ultimate goal of grasping the essence, content, level of connection, perception, reflection and reach of the relationship between security and sport both generally and individually. In addition to the mentioned above, the goal of the project is to realistically look and analyse the current situation in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the countries of the region, and to point out certain guidelines and recommendations necessary for scientific foundation and improvement of this area in the countries of the region. In the end, the universal message of the authors of the papers is Sport is health, more of fair play in sports, a sport that brings together and a sport of equal opportunities for everyone. Editor-in-Chief Stevo Ivetić, PhD 10 WELCOME SPEECH Dear athletes, sports workers, dear friends and associates of the Football Association of the Republic of Srpska, respected participants of the international scientific conference, I congratulate you on the jubilee, twenty- five years of successful work and development of the Football Association of the Republic of Srpska. I am pleased to greet you on behalf of the Football Association of the Republic of Srpska, and thank all those who participated in organization and activities of the realization of the conference on the topic “Security and Sport – Regional Experiences and Perspectives”. I especially thank the scientists – authors of the papers included in the collection who came to our and your Banja Luka from six countries in the region. In a brief review of the development of the Football Association of the Republic of Srpska, I have to emphasize that it was established on 5 September 1999 in Banja Luka, in the premises of the Banski dvor. We are especially proud of the fact that the Football Association of the Republic of Srpska was established as the first professional sports association in the Republic of Srpska. Today, the Football Association is a respectable sports organization with about 380 clubs and over 25000 registered active footballers. All competitions have been established in men’s, women’s and futsal leagues. The Football Association of the Republic of Srpska, since 21 September 2002, together with the Football Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been an internationally recognized association named Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a full member of FIFA and UEFA. The Association consists of seven regional associations within which the municipal associations are formed. Within the football organization, there is the

This is needed to replace the currently existing non-functional constitution.

UDK 16 (497.6) Nijaz Ibrulj Faculty of philosophy University of Sarajevo BOSNIA PORPHYRIANA AN OUTLINE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOGIC IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA Abstract The text is a drought outlining the development of logic in Bosnia and Herzegovina through several periods of history: period of Ottoman occupation and administration of the Empire, period of Austro-Hungarian occupation and administration of the Monarchy, period of Communist regime and administration of the Socialist Republic and period from the aftermath of the aggression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina to this day (the Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina) and administration of the International Community. For each of the aforementioned periods, the text treats the organization of education, the educational paradigm of the model, status of logic as a subject in the educational system of a period, as well as the central figures dealing with the issue of logic (as researchers, lecturers, authors) and the key works written in each of the periods, outlining their main ideas. The work of a Neoplatonic philosopher Porphyry, “Introduction” (Greek: Eijsagwgh;v Latin: Isagoge; Arabic: Īsāġūğī) , can be seen, in all periods of education in Bosnia and Herze - govina, as the main text, the principal textbook, as a motivation for logical thinking. That gave me the right to introduce the syntagm Bosnia Porphyriana. SURVEY 109 1. Introduction Man taman ṭaqa tazandaqa. • Science-Technology Park Ilidža As a Generator of Innovation Potential and SME’S Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina
ISSN 2303-4521 PERIODICALS OF ENGINEERING AND NATURAL SCIENCES Vol. 1 No. 2 (2013) Available online at: http://pen.ius.edu.ba Science-Technology Park Ilidža as a Generator of Innovation Potential and SME’s Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina Darko Petković Hazim Bašić Benjamin Duraković Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Mechanical Engineering International University Sarajevo University of Zenica University of Sarajevo Faculty of Engineering [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] Sanja Prodanović Faculty of Economics East Sarajevo University of East Sarajevo [email protected] Abstract Many nations are currently adopting a variety of directed strategies to launch and support the development of research parks. Science and technology research parks are seen increasingly as a means to create dynamic clusters that accelerate economic growth and international competitiveness. Technology parks represent the place of SME's development and the place of the most direct technological transfer. Research parks encourage greater collaboration among universities, research laboratories, and SMEs, providing a means to help convert new ideas into the innovative technologies for the market. They are recognized to be a tool to create successful new companies, sustain them and attract new ones, especially in the science, technology, and innovation sector. Universities, in turn, benefit by exposure to the business world. What all these parks have in common is that they are, at heart, knowledge partnerships that foster innovation. University research and science parks provide the launch pad that startup companies need when they are "spun out" from a university or company. The current state of development of technology parks in Bosnia and Herzegovina and possibilities of establishment of a new technology park in Sarajevo (Ilidža) region are analyzed in this paper.

CRNOGORSKA SPORTSKA AKADEMIJA, „Sport Mont“ časopis br. 40,41,42. UDK: 796.332(497.6)(091) Özgür Dirim Özkan Virtua Research and Consultancy (Istanbul, Turkey) PERCEPTION OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA’S QUALIFICATION TO FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 BY DIFFERENT ETHNIC GROUPS Introduction Any given cultural fact should be examined through the holistic context of the dynamics in which it appears. In this sense, the culture of football like many aspects of the culture should be examined within a general context of “culture”. Within this context development of football in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) should be dealt considering three different periods, namely: Pre-Socialist Yugoslavia, Socialist Yugo- slavia and independent BiH (post-Yugoslav Bosnia). From 1878 to 1918, BiH was annexed to Austria-Hungary and despite the Habs- burg rule did not last longer than 40 years, not only the economical and political, but also the social and cultural impacts were beyond expectations. Among other spheres, football was respectively brought to BiH by Austrians. The beginning of 20th Century had the first signs of establishment of football clubs in Bosnia. Among them Zrinjski was established in Mostar in 1905 as a Croat team and FK Slavija was established in Sarajevo by Bosnian Serbs in 1908. However, the political turmoil in Balkans, follow- ed by Balkan Wars and First World War, halted development of football like many other aspects of social and cultural life. Despite the Habsburg Empire was dispersed after the First World War, the social and cultural impacts of Austria continued to be influential in the newly establi- shed Kingdom of Serbs-Croats and Slovenes (later on changed to “Yugoslavia” in 1929).
