Situation Update of Karnali Province Surkhet / 22 April 2020 According to INSEC Humla District Representative Nanda Singh, the government has not responded to the fifth request for the rescue of senior citizens and students in Nepalgunj. According to Shahi, the rescued people have been handed over to be monitored by the concerned village and municipality after checking their health at Chheda Bazaar in Shivalaya. A total of 311 people, including 14 women and 296 men from India and other countries, have been tested in different parts of the district in the first phase till April 22. Katak Mahat, information officer at the health office in Kalikot, said that the reports of all of them were negative. According to INSEC Jumla District Representative Mandatta Rawal, two youths who reached Jumla from Chitwan for wages are in crisis due to lockdown.They have taken shelter at the house of Satyadevi Dangi of Tatopani Gaonpalika-2 Jumla. Similarly, Mewakal Shah of Janaki Gaonpalika 7 Kailali and Mewakal Shah of Ardash Kotwal Gaonpalika 8 Bara have also gone to Jumla to earn daily wages. Shah had gone to Jumla for business. Similarly, Mugum Karmarong rural Municipality has also reserved a bus to rescue its citizens in Kathmandu. Similarly, Soru rural municipality has also stated that they have to rescue the locals. Similarly, an all- party meeting held at the District Administration Office on April 22 has decided that those who are suspected of having corona virus and those from India and other third countries should stay in quarantine for 14 days. According to Chhetri, those in the cautionary home will return home only after consulting a health worker.
