About the Artist Kim Kalesti is a multi-dimensional artist; prolific in her consistent ability to express her life experiences in her Philosophical Picture Book Series, The Book of Kimistry music and poems, illustrations and paintings, live performances and recordings. Her books are songs, while turning the page we listen to her unique vocal arrangements that accompany the vibrant colorful characters; taking us on a journey to unravel layers of conscious and subconscious thoughts. About the Venue: The Society of Jewish Science

Jewish Science is a spiritual movement comparable with the Movement, authentically and Kabbalistically connected to . Rather than the paternal God figure encountered in Hebrew tradition, Jewish Science views God as an Energy or Force penetrating the reality of the universe. God is the source of all reality and not separate from but part of the world. The movement was institutionalized in 1922 with Rabbi ’s and his wife Tehilla’s founding of the Society of Jewish Science.

Jewish Science shares several principle beliefs with and the New Thought movement, and it is intended to function as a counterweight to the Christian elements in both of these movements and strictly maintain its Jewish identity. The movement speaks to a Jew's physical and spiritual health, but does not rule out the importance of medical intervention - unlike Christian Science. Jewish Science also incorporates psychology, and concepts about practical similar to beliefs developed in the New Thought movement. Thanks to radio broadcasts on WMCA and the establishment of the Jewish Science Interpreter magazine the movement attracted numerous adherents, thereby helping its rise to prominence in the Jewish community. Today the Society's "Home Center" is located in midtown Manhattan, NY. The Center is open to all regardless of religious affiliation.
