In view of the public safety and convenience in connection with the tunneling work of KMRCL below Brabourne Road Flyover from 00.00hrs on 08/07/17 (Friday midnight) till 06.00hrs on 11/07/17 (Tuesday Morning), I, Rajeev Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, in exercise of powers vested upon me under Section 115, 117, 122 & 126 M V Act, 1988 and Section 62, 62(1b) of Calcutta Police Act. 39, 39(1b) of Calcutta Suburban Police Act read with Rule No. 85, 86, 87, 88 & 93 of Rules for the Regulations of Traffic in Calcutta and Suburbs and under sub-section(1) of Section 4 of the West Bengal Traffic Regulations Act, 1965 (W B Act XV of 1965) read with Govt. of West Bengal Home (Transport) Department Order No. 7605-WT, dated the 20th July, 1965 and Govt. of West Bengal Transport Department Notification No. 3363-WT/3M- 34/99, dated the 29th April, 1999, do hereby order that movement and parking of vehicles for the city of Kolkata shall be regulated in the following manner from 00.00hrs on 08/07/17 (Friday midnight) till 06.00hrs on 11/07/17 (Tuesday Morning)-

1) The following Bus/Mini Bus routes will be diverted via Vidyasagar Setu for both up and down journeys – a. Buses.

2) Strand Road will be made both ways during the period. Only Kolkata bound Buses/ Mini Buses of Brabourne Road will avail Strand Road towards South. No small vehicles/Taxis will be allowed along Strand Road towards South. 3) All kinds of goods vehicles north-bound along Strand Road will be restricted to ply from 08.00hrs to 23.00hrs. on 08.07.17(Saturday) and 10.07.17(Monday). 4) Posta-bound Heavy goods vehicles coming from north Kolkata will be restricted to ply from 08.00hrs to 23.00hrs. on 08.07.17(Saturday) and 10.07.17(Monday). 5) Slow Moving vehicles of all types will be restricted to ply along Howrah Bridge from 06.00 hrs. to 23.00 hrs. on 08.07.17(Saturday) and 10.07.17(Monday). 6) City bound private cars and Taxis (regular and dial cabs) which are destined for south Kolkata will be diverted via Vidyasagar Setu by Howarh Police from their jurisdiction area. 7) Parking will not be allowed along the following stretches – a. Strand Road in between Auckland Road and Canning Street. b. Fairlie Place both sides. c. Netaji Subhas Road in between Fairlie Place and Canning Street. d. India Exchange Place in between Brabourne Road and Rabindra Sarani. e. Canning Street from Strand Road to Old China Bazar Street. f. Clive Ghat Street. g. M.G.Road. h. Strand Road from K.K.Tagore upto Canning Street including Rajakatra. i. Strand Bank Road. j. N.S.Road from M D Road upto Canning Street. k. Parking plot under Brabourne Road fly-over. l. M D Road from K.K.Tagore Street upto Mirbahar Ghat Street. m. Along Mirbahar Ghat Street. n. Along Pageya Patty from M.G.Road upto Brabourne Road crossing. o. Along Ratan Sarkar Garden Lane. p. Entire Kali Krishna Tagore Street & Vivekananda Road from Mala Para Crossing to Girish Park Crossing. q. All along Rabindra Sarani from Zakaria Street crossing to D C Banerjee Crossing. r. All along M G Road from C R Avenue Crossing to Mullick Street Crossing s. All along Jadulal Mullick Street from Nimtala Ghat Street crossing to Malapara Crossing.

8) On the days movement of Trams will be totally suspended on the following roads- a. MG road b. Strand Road c. Rabindra Sarani d. B B Gangully Street.

9) Vehicular traffic may also be diverted from any of the arterial roads and feeder roads by the Traffic Police on duty as and when considered necessary.

10) THESE REGULATIONS SHALL BE ENFORCED IN ADDITION TO THE OTHER NORMAL RESTRICTIONS ON THOSE DAYS, WHICH ARE NOT REPUGNANT TO ABOVE.
