The endowment will perpetually award scholarships to grocery industry employees through an initial investment totaling $250,000 from Founders Circle Members Acosta Sales & Marketing/Clorox, The Albertsons Companies Foundation, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Coca-Cola, Dean Foods/ Got Milk, Frito-Lay, The Kellogg Company, Raley’s, Stater Bros. Since 1980, the Latino population in the United States has increased dramatically from 14.6 million, per the Census Bureau, to exceeding 50 million today. This escalation is not just seen in major metropolitan cities and along the America-Mexico border, but throughout the country, from Cook County, Illinois to Miami-Dade, Florida. By 2050, the Latino population is projected to reach 134.8 million, resulting in a 30.2 percent share of the U.S. population. Latinos are key players in the nation’s economy.
