Making a Tassel Opening and Closing a Jump Ring Knotting Stretch Magic Wire Wrapping

Instructions to complete “Tree Trio” bracelets:

Tassel :

Step 1 Wrap the pearl cotton thread around three fingers (see Making a Tassel Technique) until the tassel is as thick as you’d like. Carefully pull the thread loops from your fingers, and trim excess thread.

Step 2 Using round nose pliers, make a loop in the middle of a 6-inch length of wire.

Photography, text and jewelry design © 2016 Fusion Beads, Inc. Step 3 Wrap the wire around the cord, and make a wire wrapped loop (see Wire Wrapping Technique) with the wire.

Step 4 Wrap and tie a length of cord around the tassel near the wire. Trim excess cord. Apply a drop of Hypo Cement to the knot to secure. Allow the cement to dry.

Step 5 Cut the cords through the loops with scissors. Trim the ends evenly.

Step 7 Make a wire wrapped loop with the wire extending from the cord end.

Step 8 String the loop on the tassel onto a 12-inch length of Stretch Magic elastic cord.

Step 10 Tie a square knot in the elastic cord, and apply a dot of Hypo Tube Cement to the knot. Allow the cement to dry completely (see Knotting Stretch Magic Technique).

Charm bracelet:

Step 1 Open one jump ring (see Opening and Closing a Jump Ring Technique), and attach it to the tree charm. Close the jump ring.

Step 2 String the jump ring attached to the charm onto a 12-inch length of Stretch Magic cord.
