Planning Division

MUIR POINT MODEL HOMES UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The first 4 model homes of the new Muir Pointe subdivision are under construction. Plans being built within this 144 single family detached home subdivision located on John Muir Parkway between Alfred Noble and Linus Pauling Drive by Taylor Morrison are on the City’s website. It is anticipated that the models will be completed in about 3 months and sales should begin in about 45 days from a temporary trailer being setup on site. CHELSEA RESTORATION PROJECT

As part of the environmental outreach, the City had a Community Field meeting with about 12 members of the public, 2 representatives from Ducks Unlimited, and 3 representatives from the City at the Chelsea wetlands site at Sante Fe and Railroad Avenue. Responses to all the field questions and modifications to the project have been incorporated into a “Final Initial Study- Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Chelsea Wetlands Restoration” for City Council consideration at their 9/13/2016 public hearing in Council Chambers.

The updated environmental document with a response to comments section, a mitigation and monitoring program and changes to the draft document are included and will be made available on the City’s website at http://www.ci.hercules.ca.us/index.aspx?page=227 in addition to the appendixes.

AVENTINE PROGRESS CONTINUES

One hundred and fourteen (114) leases have been signed and 99 apartment units are occupied at the mixed use building on Sycamore Avenue (out of the 147 apartment units, excluding the 10,000 square feet of commercial space). If all goes as planned the building may be fully rented up well before Christmas and the last touches of the project, included the parking district will be operational. If you haven’t toured the building yet, it contains multiple community amenities including a full fitness center, billiards/tv/entertainment room, dog washing room, 2 large outdoor terraces with fire and water features, yoga studio, library, community bicycles, and of course is anticipated to have some retail or restaurant uses in the near future. SYCAMORE CROSSING COMMUNITY OPEN HOUSE OF 8/23/2016 UNVEILS INITIAL IDEAS AND SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT

Last week, the Lewis Group shared some initial ideas of potential layouts for development of the Sycamore Crossing site located at the corner of San Pablo and Sycamore Avenues to get an initial pulse from the community during their due diligence period with the City for purchasing the property. About 50 folks meandered through the open house and discussed potential uses and goals with the project team and many submitted comment cards regarding their thoughts.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

Maintenance & Operations – Staff completed their regularly scheduled custodial and facility- related tasks in public parks and buildings. They coordinated with the West Contra Costa County Integrated Waste Management Authority on solid waste issues, repaired multiple street lights hit by vehicles, and removed 68 trip hazards from the concrete walkways at the Civic Center. Staff is also overseeing maintenance contracts for Citywide sidewalk replacements a various locations, lighting repairs in Victoria by the Bay, tree trimming on Willow Avenue and Canterbury, and the Refugio Valley tennis backboard replacement

Engineering –Construction on the $11.7M Path To Transit phase of the Regional Intermodal Transit Center is well underway. The contractor is constructing Bayfront Bridge which will span over , the rechanneling Refugio Creek, and waterline installation. The Bay Trail West segment is under design and slated for construction Summer 2017. The developer for the Muir Pointe residential development completed the public waterline installation on Muir Point Boulevard and is installing the underground utilities on-site. The $46M Pinole-Hercules Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Project is moving forward, the contractor is constructing the new headworks facility and solid waste handling facility. Construction on the $1.1M Refugio Valley Road Rehabilitation is substantially complete while construction is underway on the public improvements for Aventine. Staff is also finishing up the annual stormwater report.

Fall Swim Hours: The Hercules Swim Center is now on its fall schedule with lap swim being moved to evenings only from 6:00-7:00 p.m. through September 2. Beginning September 6, our Lap swim program will be on Monday and Wednesday from 7:00-8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Participants must be 14 years and older to participate; the drop in rate per visit for Adults is $5 residents / $6 non-residents, and Youth 14 years to 17 years $4 residents / $5 non-residents.

FREE Movies in Refugio Valley Park: The community is invited to attend a new program opportunity provided by the Parks and Recreation Department. Two free family-oriented movies will be shown in Refugio Valley Park this Fall. The first movie will be shown on Saturday, September 10 at 8:00 p.m. It is Zootopia. The second movie will be shown on Saturday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m. It is Hotel Transylvania 2. There will be popcorn and refreshments available to purchase at both movies. Yoga Class: Yoga is back! We would like to welcome our new instructor, Christina “Kippy” Kern-Taylor, who has over six years of experience in the U.S. and in India! Classes will be held from 6:00-7:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Samara Terrace room. Our first session begins on September 12, so come by and try out a class for $15! Senior Center Ice Cream Social: The Hercules Senior Center will be holding an Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, September 14, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This event is for ages 55+, tickets are $5 per person and include lunch and ice cream. Tiny Tots Programs: Our Tiny Tots programs are designed to develop basic learning skills and gross motor development for all of our participants. This year we have a new Multi-Age program for ages 3-4 which meets Monday- Thursday from 9:00-11:30am. Our first day of Pre-school was August 29 and August 30 for the Little Learners program. 2016-2017 K-5th Grade Before & After School program: Our Child Care programs provide a nurturing, caring environment with a variety of age-appropriate activities and events. Our talented, courteous staff are CPR/First Aid certified, with accredited college units and trained in school-age programming to provide the ultimate child care services. Our goal is to create a pleasant, fun, secure, caring environment! There is an annual $100 registration fee per child.

2016-2017 6-8th Grade After School program: School is now in session! We are currently accepting registrations for THE SPOT, After-School Program, at this time. THE SPOT is a safe place for Teens grade 6th-8th to come and get help with homework, socialize with friends, play fun group games, and much more! HERCULES PUBLIC LIBRARY

All Contra Costa County Libraries will be closed on Sunday September 4th and Monday September 5th in observance of Labor Day.

Come to the library to check out some great books and while you’re there, check out our great new booth seating by the front lobby! We are still waiting for two new tables to go with the booths (there were some parts missing in the first shipment), but patrons are already enjoying this new addition to the library! We hope to have the tables sometime next week.

Gayle's Drop in Saturday Crafts returns on Saturday September 3rd! Kids and parents are invited to visit the library every other Saturday starting this September 3rd from 11am-5pm to make an easy craft.

Wild About Writing returns on Saturday September 3rd from 4-5pm Children who are of elementary school or middle school age are welcome to join this creative writing class encouraging self-expression through writing. The goal of this club is to make writing a fun experience where each child can express their unique voice. Lead by Hanna Ranch teacher Sarah Creeley, this group will meet the first Saturday of each month from 4-5pm.

Family Storytime returns on Tuesday September 6th at 6:00pm! Stories, songs, fingerplays! Stay for free play after story time to meet other kids and their families.

New Book Club at the Library! The second Thursday of each month at 1pm Join the Hercules Library's Happy Endings Book Club for a lighthearted read! Our selection for September 8th is Where You Go Bernadette, by Maria Semple. This book is described as a “screwball satire with a warm heart.” Pick up a copy of the book at the main desk of the Hercules Library.

Highlights from August Last month, the library presented a program from the San Francisco Opera Sing-a-Story outreach. Sing-a-Story is an interactive introduction to opera for ages 4-10. 63 children and their parents came to participate in The Magic Flute and have a fabulous time. Children actively participated with singing, acting out parts, and wearing fun costumes. The library thanks the Friends of the Hercules Library for sponsoring this program.

HERCULES POLICE DEPARTMENT

Today, Hercules Police Department held a swearing in ceremony for two new police officers, Officer Jose Salala and Tamiko Fodor. Also, Detective Dwayne Collard was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Petty Theft: On August 15, 2016 at 11:31am, an Officer responded to the 600 block of Alfred Nobel Drive to take a report for a theft of a leaf blower from a vehicle.

Identity Theft: On August 15, 2016 at 2:58pm, an Officer took a report of identity theft the 2200 block of Tsushima Street. A credit card was opened using the victim’s information.

Misdemeanor warrant arrest: On August 16, 2016 at 2:50am, an Officer contacted 27 year old Thomas, Lejuan of Hercules. Lejuan was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for DUI and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Subject was arrested and transported to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.

Stolen Vehicle: On August 17, 2016 at 7:57am, Officers responded to the 800 block of Willow Avenue for a report of an in-progress auto theft. The victim stated he parked his vehicle in front of the mini mart and went inside. The victim observed an unknown Hispanic male adult wearing a grey t-shirt and baseball cap get in to the vehicle and drive off. An area check was conducted with negative results. The unoccupied stolen vehicle was later located in Crockett by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department.

Embezzlement: On August 17, 2016 at 9:37am, an Officer responded to the 1500 block of Sycamore for a report of an embezzlement regarding prescription medication. The suspect, Elizabeth Garcia, was detained by loss prevention. Garcia was arrested, booked at Hercules PD and cite released.

Destruction of Marijuana: On August 17, 2016 at 11:53am, an Officer responded to the 700 block of Alfred Nobel for a report of found marijuana. The officer took possession of about three pounds of molded marijuana. The marijuana was logged into evidence for destruction.

Residential Burglary: On August 17, 2016pm, an Officer responded to the 500 block of Mahogany for a report of a residential burglary. When the officer arrived he found one of the bedrooms ransacked. The officer processed the residence for prints. A neighborhood check was conducted. The point of entry is unknown and no suspect information was developed during the investigation.

Vandalism: On August 18, 2016 at 3:43am, an Officer responded to the 600 block of Turquoise for a report of a vehicle vandalism. Upon arrival the officer located 2 vehicles with both rear windows smashed. The victim heard 2 pops and then heard an unknown vehicle drive away. When the victim went out to check he found both vehicles damaged. An area check was completed and no other damaged vehicles were located.

Stolen Vehicle: On August 17, 2016 at 8:27am, an Officer responded to the Hercules Police Department lobby for a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred in the 1000 block of Regatta Point last night around 10:00pm. He parked his white, 1997 Honda Accord on the street and woke up to find it gone.

Auto Burglary: On August 18, 2016 at 9:35pm, an Officer responded to the 200 block of South Wildwood for a reported auto burglary. The reporting party stated he heard his car alarm activate. When he went to check his vehicle he observed a white vehicle, possibly a van or SUV, leave the area at a high rate of speed. The victim then noticed the right front window of the vehicle was smashed and the trunk was open. It didn’t appear that anything was taken.

Auto Burglary: On August 19, 2016 at 7:38am, an Officer responded to the 2000 block of Cabrillo for a report of a theft from a vehicle. The RP reported that sometime between 5:30pm yesterday and 7:30am this morning, an unknown suspect smashed the driver’s side window of her vehicle. It doesn’t appear that anything was taken.

Traffic Collision: On August 19, 2016 at 10:14am, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Sycamore for a solo vehicle collision. The driver of a 2001 Mitsubishi drove her vehicle into the side metal fence in front of Rite-Aid. The driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Traffic Collision: On August 19, 2016, at about 3:18pm, Officers responded to the 200 block of Grissom for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. The driver, an adult male of Hercules, called 911 for assistance. Officers arrived on scene and requested emergency medical personnel. The victim was transported to John Muir Hospital by air ambulance.

Possession of a Controlled Substance: On August 19, 2016 at 8:38pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Willow Avenue at Hawthorne, for equipment violations. The driver and the RF passenger were on searchable probation. During a search of the passenger, 31 year old Damaria Moore of Rodeo, a small amount of heroin was located on his person. During a search of the vehicle a prescription pill bottle containing additional heroin was located. Moore was arrested, interviewed, and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

Resisting Obstructing Police Officer: On August 20, 2016 at 12:59am, Officers responded to the 2200 block of Lupine for a domestic disturbance. When officers arrived they contacted Daniel Yohannes of Hercules. When officers contacted Daniel he was uncooperative and refused to comply with officers requests. Daniel was arrested for resisting and obstructing a police officer. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Home Invasion Robbery: On August 20, 2016 at 5:36am, Officers responded to the 900 block of Dover for a report of a burglary. Reporting party called to report his ex-girlfriend, an adult female out of Oakland, broke into his residence. It was determined that the suspect entered the residence through a bedroom window and locked the door. When the door was forced open by the resident the suspect was gone. The only known item taken at this time is a 12 Gauge shotgun.

Auto Burglary: On August 20, 2016 at 10:05am, Hercules Officers were dispatched to Franklin Canyon Golf Course at 3500 Franklin Canyon Road for a report of an auto burglary that had just occurred. Dispatch was advised suspects smashed the window of a White SUV. Suspects were described as two black male adults driving an older Maroon Chrysler or Oldsmobile with its hazard lights flashing. Suspects fled in the vehicle east bound SR-4. Officers arrived and located the victim vehicle parked facing the golf course in the upper parking lot. Officers made contact with the victim of Antioch. The only item missing from the vehicle was his Black Jansport backpack that contained miscellaneous items.

Hit and Run: On August 20, 2016, an Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Secret Cove for a report of a hit and run vehicle collision that occurred sometime early this morning near Starbucks, 3600 San Pablo Avenue. There is no suspect information.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On August 21, 2016 at 8:43am, an Officer responded to the area of John Muir Parkway and the trail near the construction site for a suspicious white truck parked. The reporting party stated the truck had the driver’s door open and all the tool boxes open. The officer found the truck parked unoccupied. The truck was missing all of its tools from the tool boxes and the car battery had been removed. Officers checked the adjacent construction site but didn’t locate any signs of a burglary/theft. The truck was reported stolen out of Suisun.

Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: On August 21, 2016 at 10:40am, Officers responded to the Hercules Point (Bayfront Blvd.) for a report of 2 males seen trespassing in violation of the no trespassing signs. Officers arrived and initially contacted an adult male of Hercules as he was leaving. The male subject told officers he and his friend were down at the Point crab fishing. The subject was admonished about trespassing and left. Officers checked the Point and found Joel Banner of Crockett in the northern part of the point. Banner gave consent for a search of his person. A search of his jacket yielded a small amount of an illegal substance and drug paraphernalia. Banner was arrested and transported to Hercules P.D. and was later cited and released.

Drunk in Public: On August 21, 2016 at 6:07pm, Officers responded to the 100 block of Lotus Court for a report of an adult female that was banging on the front door. The reporting party stated that Nicole Ciechanski of El Sobrante was being violent and had been drinking. Officers arrived to find Ciechanski screaming while pounding on the front door. She had cuts to her hands and arms as a result of breaking a glass porch light. The suspect was contacted and detained. She was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Hercules Police Department.

Driving under the influence: On August 21, 2016 at 10:46pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop on speeding vehicle. Sheldon Brown of Hercules was arrested for driving under the influence and transported to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.

Identity Theft: On August 22, 2016 at 9:42am, an Officer responded to the lobby of the Police Department for a report of an identity theft. The victim of the 100 block of Skelly way reported an unauthorized Comcast account had been opened using his name and personal identifying information.

Petty Theft: On August 22, 2016 at 2:28pm, an Officer responded to Hercules High School for a report of a stolen lap top computer.

Identity Theft: On August 22, 2016 at 2:23pm, an Officer responded to the Police Department lobby for a report of identity theft. The victim of the 100 block of Manzanita Place reported an unknown suspect attempted to open a fraudulent credit card account using her name and personal identifying information.

Vandalism & Probation Violation: On August 22, 2016 at 3:28pm, Officers responded to the area of the Foxboro Downs condos for a report of a suspicious subject. Reporting party stated a homeless man broke down some fences in the dead end area where the dumpster enclosure is located. Officers arrived in the area and found the suspect, Joseph O’Claire of Rodeo walking on Cambridge at Dover. Reporting party identified O’Claire as being the responsible in the vandalism. O’Claire was arrested and transported to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.

Grand Theft from a vehicle: On August 22, 2016 at 8:59pm, Officers took a report of an unknown subject who had stolen several hand tools from the compartments of the victim’s utility bed on his work truck while parked near the Home Depot. The theft occurred while the victim was shopping inside the store.

Trespassing: On August 23, 2016 at 5:41pm, Officers responded to the Tennis Courts, in the 1500 block of Refugio Valley Road for a report of a disturbance. The reporting party stated an adult female went through the construction barrier at the tennis courts. The reporting party stated the female went inside the Tennis Courts and stepped over the orange netting/fencing that was marked authorized personnel only. Officer’s contacted the subject and told her not to return to the construction area.

Outside Assist – Search Warrant: On August 24, 2016 at 8:52am, Hercules Officers assisted the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office Inspectors with the service of a search warrant in the 100 block of Beechnut Drive.

Identity Theft: On August 24, 2016 at 12:36pm, an Officer responded to the 700 block of Windsor Street for an identity theft report. The victim received a letter from a vendor for an outstanding bill on an account she did not open. The fraudulent account is associated with an address in Napa.

Theft by False Pretenses: On August 24, 2016 at 2:37pm, an Officer responded to the Police Department lobby for a fraud report. The victim stated she received a call from an unknown male who told her someone was trying to open a fraudulent account in her name and he would need to issue her a new Social Security number. The victim was instructed to purchase reloadable Green Dot cards in various amounts.

Missing Person: On August 24, 2016 at 4:38pm, an Officer responded to the Hercules Police Department lobby for a report of a missing 79 year old female from Taft, CA. The victim was last heard from in Idaho on Friday.

Vehicle VS. Pedestrian (No Injuries): On August 24, 2016 at 4:54pm, Officers responded to the 100 block of Civic Drive near the Hercules Library for a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian. The victim was evaluated by medical personnel and released.

Arrest of a Home Invasion Robbery Suspect: On August 24, 2016 at 5:27pm, Pinole P.D. was in the 2600 block of Alhambra Way in Pinole for an unrelated incident. Pinole PD contacted 38 year old Kelly Deegan of Pinole. A Hercules officer notified Pinole P.D. there was probable cause to arrest Deegan for a recent home invasion robbery that occurred in the 900 block of Dover St in Hercules, this past Saturday morning. Hercules Police responded and arrested Deegan. Deegan was transported to the Hercules Police Department, interviewed and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Hit and Run Collision: On August 24, 2016 at 9:55pm, Officers responded to the 300 block of Turquoise for a report of a hit and run. It was reported that a white vehicle hit a parked black vehicle and fled up Turquoise. During an area check the suspect’s vehicle, a 2012 Nissan, was located in a driveway in the 100 block of Beryl Court. Through an investigation the driver of the vehicle, during the collision, was identified as 24 year old Romina Gill of Hercules. Gill had objective symptoms of intoxication and submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Gill was transported to Martinez Detention Facility, after being medically cleared at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.

Shoplifting: On August 25, 2016 at 9:36am, Officer’s responded to the 1500 block of Refugio Valley Road for a report of a Home Depot Loss Prevention Officer chasing an unknown adult male who had just stolen an item from the store. The officers conducted an area check for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

Grand Theft: On August 25, 2016 at 12:27pm, an Officer responded to the 200 block of Glenwood for a report of an auto burglary.

Verbal Argument: On August 25, 2016 at 4:51pm, Officers responded to a report of a verbal altercation near the Bank of America. The officers contacted the involved parties and determined the argument was over a traffic related incident.

Shoplifting: On August 25, 2016 at 9:16pm, Officers responded to the Home Depot in the 1500 block of Sycamore for a shoplifting suspect detained by a loss prevention. Following the investigation it was determined that the suspect, Leduane O’Keith Thomas, was seen selecting items from the hardware department. He left the store without paying for the items. Thomas was arrested, taken to Hercules PD and interviewed. He was cited for shoplifting and then released.

Suspicious Circumstance: On August 25, 2016 at 10:31pm, Officers responded to Foxboro Park in the 1000 block of Canterbury for a male attempting to burn something by the tennis courts. The information came in from the Fire Department. A binder was located that appeared to be burnt. An area check was conducted and no suspects were located.

Warrant Arrest: On August 26, 2016 at 6:06am, an Officer stopped 62 year old Gary Riggs of Vallejo for a traffic violation. It was determined that Riggs had a non-citable arrest warrant for DUI. Riggs was arrested and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

Coroner’s case: On 8/26/16 at 10:17am, Officers responded to the 500 block of Blue Cypress for a 52 year old female found unresponsive in bed. The subject was pronounced deceased by paramedics and was released to the family after the coroner determined the result was from natural causes.

Welfare check: On August 26, 2016 at 6:59pm, Officers responded to the 100 block of Pinnacle for a report of an adult female yelling. When officers arrived the front door was open and officers were met with the described female who immediately was yelling incoherently. She was unable or unwilling to communicate. An ambulance responded and the female was transported to the hospital for medical attention.

Hit and Run Collision: On August 26, 2016 at 8:05pm, Officers responded to the 200 block of Pepperwood for a hit and run collision. The victim was driving on Pepperwood when a red sedan struck her vehicle. The driver of the red sedan continued without stopping to exchange information. The officers checked the area for the responsible vehicle with negative results.

Felony Warrant Arrest: On August 26, 2016 at 9:49pm, Officers responded to the rear of 3700 San Pablo Avenue for a suspicious person. Officers contacted 28 year old transient Dionte Kelly. Kelly had a felony arrest warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

Violation of a restraining: On August 27, 2016 at 8:17pm, Officer’s responded to the 1200 block of Willow Avenue for a restraining order violation. The suspect was gone prior to officer’s arrival. Residential Burglary: On August 27, 2016 at 9:59am, an Officer responded to the 100 block of Square Rigger Cove for a reported burglary. The resident’s returned home to find their house burglarized by an unknown suspect.

Vehicle Collision: On August 28, 2016 at 2:17pm, Officer’s responded to area of San Pablo Avenue at Sycamore Avenue for a report of a vehicle collision. A female passenger was transported to the hospital.

Prisoner Transport: On August 28, 2016 at 3:35pm, an Officer responded to Santa Rita Jail to pick up Leta Swanson of Oakland from the County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant out of Hercules. Swanson was transported to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.

Warrant arrest: On August 28, 2016 at 8:46pm, an Officer stopped a vehicle on Willow Avenue at the transit lot for expired registration. During the stop it was learned that the vehicle owner Joseph Carr, of Benicia was found to have an outstanding Misdemeanor warrant. The passenger in the vehicle Yessenia Arnold, of Vallejo was also found to have an outstanding misdemeanor probation warrant out of Napa County. Both were arrested and transported to Main Detention Facility in Martinez.

Unauthorized use of an Access Card: On August 29, 2016 at 8:36am, an Officer responded to the Police Department lobby to take a report for an unauthorized use of an access card. The victim, a resident of Hercules, stated she was contacted by her bank regarding fraudulent activity on her account. The victim did further checking and discovered that an unknown suspect stole a new Debit card that was mailed to her house.

Auto Burglary: On August 29, 2016 at 11:29am, a Citizen reported that his vehicle was broken in to on Saturday night in the 1500 block of Sycamore Avenue. The victim, a resident of Concord, went in to a store. When he returned to his vehicle he discovered an unknown suspect had shattered the vehicle window and took miscellaneous items from the vehicle.

Warrant Arrest/Possession of a Controlled Substance: On August 29, 2016 at 4:28pm, an Officer conducted a traffic stop on a motorhome for expired registration on W/B I-80 on-ramp from John Muir Parkway. The passenger was identified as 33 year old Joseph Barnett of San Francisco. Barnett was found to have two outstanding Misdemeanor No Cite Warrants out of Solano County. A consent search of the motorhome was done, but no illegal contraband was found. The driver of the motorhome was cited for several vehicle code violations and released. The officer transported Barnett to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez. When Barnett was searched a controlled substance was found hidden in his clothing.

Auto Burglary: On August 30, 2016 at 6:23, an Officer responded to the 3700 San Pablo Avenue for an auto burglary. An unknown suspect smashed the right front window of the victim’s vehicle and took miscellaneous property. Possible suspect vehicles include a red Camaro with a black stripe and a black Dodge Charger.

Warrant Arrest: On August 30, 2016 at 4:28pm, an Officer initiated a pedestrian stop on an adult male that illegally crossed the Railroad tracks to Willow Ave. near the Transit Lot. The subject was identified as 46 year old John Peralta of Hercules. Peralta was found to have two outstanding cite releasable misdemeanor warrants. Peralta was cited out by the officer.
