Awards History

• Mark Kennedy - Mini trophy. Mark was an integral part of starting our minis off, and was very prominent in the early days of the soccer club. Mark held many positions with the soccer division, he also went on to become involved in the youth club. • David Lakaitis - Senior trophy. He was a player who had been with the soccer division for many many years. One who always showed true sportsmanship and generally loved the game of soccer. He was always willing to lend a hand and help out with younger teams. It was a sad loss to many people when David passed away so young due to a workplace accident. Hence many senior players wanted to honour his memory so the parents were approached and that is how the senior trophies came into being. Due to his involvement in Premier League and his fairness to the game the two trophies came into being. • Stan Shepherd Coaches Award - In 2009 long serving coach for our club for nearly 20years, Mr Stan Shepherd, initiated this award at one of our meetings and as such the Club Coaches Award will be now known as the Stan Shepherd Coaches Award. We know that each team has different challenges through the season, some will become Minor Premiers and Grand Final winners others will struggle at the other end of the table, the award should not be just based purely on success. 2010 INGLEBURN EAGLES SOCCER CLUB EXECUTIVE REPORT

Thank You to this year’s committee, especially the executive members, David Hamilton, Jenny Smith, Ralph Martin and David Sunderland who have been very loyal to the club.

Thank You to the players, coaches, managers, and to all those volunteers who worked tirelessly as ground officials, team officials, canteen, setup and pack up duties. Also to the parents, family members and supporters who watch our games.

The club has grown to over 500 players, coaches and managers with 35 teams (six more than last year) and the club is in a sound financial position. This year with a generous donation we are able to assist families with the financial costs of playing soccer.

The growth was partly contributed to teams from other clubs joining use, a junior team coming from Fields United (U12s Div 3 Blue), AA6 from Minto and Ladies Premier League Team from Campbelltown Southern Districts. I hope you and your teams had an enjoyable year. 2010 has been a very successful season for the club both off and on the fields. We had: • 4 Minor Premiers, U16 Div 2 Girls and Boys, AA7 , AA3 • 6 teams were runners up: U12s Div3 Blue, U13-2s, U14-2s, U17s, O35s Div 3, Ladies Premier • 16 teams qualified for the playoffs compared to five last year: U10-3s, 11-2s, 12-3s Blues, 13-2s, 13-3s, 14-2s, 15-3s, 16-2s, 17s, U14 Girls Div 3, U16 Girls Div 2, LA Premier, LAA2, AA3, AA7 and O35s Div 3. • 9 teams qualified for the Grand Finals • 5 teams won the Grand Finals But winning isn’t everything with a number of our teams experiencing a difficult year on the field and hopefully 2011 will be a brighter season for the teams, AA10, LAA5, U15 Div 1 and U12 Div 3 Yellow.

These teams should be acknowledged for their determination and are a credit to themselves, coaches and managers, and their parents.

At this stage last year the U9 Div5 was mentioned, most of the players went into the U10 Div3 and went onto the playoffs, a great turn around and for most of the team their first win with the club.

In 2009 we mentioned about creating a 16Girls which we did very successfully, thanks to Mike, Debbie and Luke, hopefully we will also have an U18 Girls team in 2011.

The season started with the Season Launch back in March which involved the Small Sided Teams playing in their annual Mini Gala Day involving other local teams including the Minto and Fields United Soccer Clubs.

We also played our 2nd Annual Trial matches against the Strathfield Soccer Club and other local teams. This event involved over 20 matches and thanks to the Minto Soccer Club and RAMs we were able to play theses matches at their fields as our home ground was unavailable.

We would like also to thank the organising committee and all those involved over the weekend, especially Alex Judge

Our club is recognised as the Family Club and the aim of the committee is to reduce on and off the field sports rage. I must applaud the following Senior Teams who did not receive a Red Card during the season Ladies Premier, LAA2, LAA5 and U21s

Our Under 10-3s did the club proud representing us by being selected to play a match at a World Cup Live Venue at Darling Harbour.

In a joint enterprise with ourselves, the Campbelltown City Council and the Department of Sport and Recreation we will hopefully have the upgraded automatic watering system in place for the 2011 season.

We also purchased further training equipment as part of our ongoing commitment to improve all players to reach their potential and goals.

Volunteers are the backbone of all organisations like Ingleburn Eagles Soccer Club and we encourage you to be part of our club either as a committee person, coach/manager or just a helper. We as a committee recognise the importance of volunteers and during 2010 a volunteer each week won a $25.00 Petrol voucher at the Caltex Service Station, Lagonda Drive, Ingleburn.

At this point I would like to thank our sponsors for 2010 and I am confident that they will return once more in 2011:

Australian Child Care Options (ACCCO), Caltex Lagonda Drive, Kwik Kerb and Revolution Smash Repairs. Finally, thank you to all those involved in the success of our club in 2010 and we welcome new people to our family friendly club and you are all invited to attend our AGM on Monday 8.11.10 at 7.30pm at the Ingleburn RSL Club.

GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

How time flies when you’re having fun – and we had heaps!

Training and Saturdays were always full of 5 year old surprises and as coach you have to expect the unexpected. All of the boys put in 100% effort and at times even the coach was tempted to give the ball a little kick to help out.

Kurt, Matthew and Thomas found themselves in the attack. Jett and Mark saw opportunities in the mid field. Cristian and Hayden were never too far from our goal area.

Most Wednesday nights at training, the dads were shown what determination meant when we played our regular dads vs. boys game.

Our goal was to have fun and also set the basic groundwork for the future which is sportsmanship.

In my opinion everyone in our team and parents showed what a team sport is all about – the team.

GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

Being a new team, having children who haven't played before was a challenge to begin with. As the children were becoming more familiar with the game of soccer, they were more eager to get in and have a go. I think all of the players played really well throughout the 2010 season.

The team consisted of: Zain Alahmad, Joseph Bernardo, Micah Cross, Bailey Hawkins, Tyron McMahon, Corey Refik, Joshua Sarvotham and Paige Weeding.

Team coach: Daniel Rodriguez

Manager: Rebecca Hawkins

Under 6 Yellows. GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

I would like to thank all the players, parents, coach and assistant coach for all their help and support during the 2010 season. During the season our boys learnt may new skills including ball control, great defence and amazing attack and while sometimes the game didn’t go our way the boys never gave up and continued to give it their best. They learnt how to play as a team, and that everyone was involved and given a chance to show their skills. I’m proud to be involved with such a wonderful team consisting of Cameron, Caleb, Ethan, Joshua, Kareem, Rayaan and Riley.

I would like to wish every player on our team the very best for the future and continue to see them try their best at no matter what they do.

GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

Under 7 Blue had a good year this year with all the boys gaining more and more confidence in their soccer abilities.

Some of the highlights of the season with Lauchlan kicking goals from over half way with Aidan becoming a good team player running after the ball whenever asked and passing to Rory to score goals together, Mitchell scoring his first goal and trying his hardest, Michael learning about good sportsmanship and not tackling so hard and Gabriel has been learning a lot of new skills and has come a long way as has the rest of the team.

I would like to thank all of the team for their effort and the parents for always being there to help whenever needed.

UNDER 7 WHITE GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

Anthony Amador Sean Cheong Nafis Fuad Cameron O’Connor Adam Torlaschi Bryce Vigenser Lizzie Watson

Season 2010 was a great year for U/7 White. Every player improved their skill levels and game play. They are a great bunch of players and it was a privilege for me to be involved with the players and their families. In some ways the season was difficult ... we didn’t have any tall or large player which meant that we were often outsized. The great advantage of this is that every player had a great go. Toward the end of the season the team started to understand that they were a team. This was great to watch. This team to a person trained and played wholeheartedly.

Anthony Amador: Over the course of the season Anthony became a skilful player. He is a competent all round player who defends well, is good on the ball and shoots and passes well. Anthony really developed an understanding of the game in regards to passing. Anthony scored many goals and set up quite a few as well. An outstanding season

Sean Cheong: possibly our busiest player. Sean chased and hounded the opposition in defence to the point of driving them mad. He also improved his ball control over the course of the season. He brought a real energy to the team. A joy to coach.

Nafis Fuad: is quite a skilful player who always tried hard. He scored a few goals this season but unfortunately was sick for a significant portion of the season. As Nafis grows in confidence in his play his silky skills will become more evident and he will trouble many a defence over the years

Cameron O’Connor: This bloke loves playing soccer. He always wanted to in the centre of the action. Cameron worked hard, particularly in defence but when he got forward scored some fine goals. I see Cameron developing into a tough defensive midfielder who will let the opposition know that they are in a game. Cameron celebrates saving a gaol more than any other player I know.

Adam Torlaschi: A champion player who is both an energetic and busy player. He works hard in attack and defence. He was the scorer our best team goal this year. Adam has good skills which he improved this season. As Adam becomes more confident he will score plenty of goals and create just a many.

Bryce Vigenser: Champion player who put 100% into every game and training session. Bryce improved dramatically this year in both his dribbling and shooting. He scored some great goals. Bryce is also a competent defender and this will improve as his confidence grows. Bryce was a real pleasure to coach.

Lizzie Watson: a strong and skilful player. Lizzie has great ball control. She also fought hard for the ball and regularly out-muscled boys who were much bigger than her. She also has a devastatingly powerful shot – the only 7yo I saw this season to consistently put shots over the bar! Lizzie also worked hard and was effective in defence. Persistence is a strong point.

Overall we had a great season together. Thanks to the parents who were consistently helpful, positive and supportive through the season. Also thank you to the Eagles club who are a very easy club to play for. To the U/7 whites we say thanks for the season. And Don says a big thanks to Tracey who dutifully did the paperwork each week so I didn’t have to worry.

GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

This year’s soccer season has been nothing short of amazing! We finished the year on a High winning all of our games at the Gala Day. Hooray!! Team and spectator behavior was at our absolute best. To the point, as a team we have improved tremendously. From our first win in the early few weeks of competition followed soon by some heart wrenching losses Under 8s Blue dug in deep and dedicated their time to some serious training. This definitely paid off and as true “Eagles” we were finding form once again and winning on the field. I take my hat off to the parents for their commitment to their children and the team, rushing back from work to make sure kids was making it to training, ringing around giving lifts to those who didn’t have transport etc Thank you so much!! Despite my being new to the club and new to coaching these parents and ‘their wonderful children’ have ensured I felt right at home among them And Charlie I haven’t forgotten you, thank you for being our unofficial Assistant Coach. Have an awesome break guys and hope to see you all back again next year.

Sammer Ali – A Solid and strong player who kicked butt at Goalie

JaidaRose Lene – The team speedster who never turned down an opportunity to score

Samantha Lene – Our little runner with a heart of a Lion

Anthony Kairouz – A player who loved the challenge of chasing the ball down & putting his body on the line

Swaroop Kunte – A Solid & consistent all round player with a boot to die for

Jason Griess – Our “Mr fancy feet” who on occasion has gotten the team out of heart stopping situations

Sean Singh – Our very own goal-scoring machine

Vinal Sharma – A Highly competitive team player & definitely the most Improved

Bryce Shaw – A self assured young man, whatever was asked of him he always gave 110%

Marcus Capilli – for his age, his skills on the field make him our very own Timmy Cahill

GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

With the U8 Yellows stepping up a field size and adding more on-field players, we saw a few new players to the team. Welcome Bevan Hawkins, Muhamed Khalic and Matt Stack.

We started off the season well wining our first 3 games. During the entire season, we did quite well only losing 4 games and drawing twice. 2 of our wins were against teams that were undefeated through most of the season until they lost to us.

The other coaches commented on how well our team was passing, which I have to agree.

The u8 Yellows are a team who love the game and are passionate about playing! Even singing the Eagles Club chant before and after each game.

Here is some memorable moments (In alphabetical order:) of each of the players.

Bevin Hawkins: Bevin's game has improved immensely along his confidence, with his defending like a bulldog! And a go getter spirit. Jack Jolley: Jack is an explosive forward, pouncing on long balls and breaking away from his defenders. What he lacks in running backwards he overly compensates for his bursts of speed to score goals! Jayden Lo: Jayden confidence is growing as is his speed. Pouncing on opportunities and scoring a few goals too! A good midfielder in the making. Jesse Doran: Jesse did a great job as Goal keeper for most of the season, but also is an excellent defender covering goals. Kane Doran: Kane is a versatile player whether he is defending or a forward, and supports his midfielders on the attack. Late in the season we also discovered that he is also an excellent goalie too! Luke Thompson: Luke's game has improved alot, from his big goal kicks through to running up the middle to support the wingers on the attack! Keep it up. Mathew Barron: Mathew is a fantastic defender and can also do well in the goals. We all remember that 'huge diving save' tipping the ball over the post! Great effort. Matt Stack: Matt is the most technical player in the team and an excellent midfielder. He covers the whole field all of the time and a great goal scorer and play maker. Muhamed 'Mo' Khalic: Mo's first season was a good one, impressing his father with good tackling and clearing the ball from the opposition. He enjoys being a part of this team.

Thanks to Alan Doran who did an excellent job as manager for the team, and also to the parents who brings the kids to the training and the game.

We have a great team spirit, not only amongst the team, but also the parents and family members.

Let’s continue this into 2011!

GREAT SOCCER!!!!!

MARK KENNEDY AWARD

To start off 2010 was a great year for the 9 Blues every player improved their skill level. I feel we just about matched it with just about every team we played against. Even though we had several losses we played with our heart and determination and this alone made Paul and myself very proud.

Billy what can I say a heart of gold, great goal keeper and is becoming more skilful out on the field at every opportunity.

Luke natural defender and great anticipator and possibly the only under 9 that has ever held his position.

Jaime go girl power the only girl on the team who played with a lot of heart and also scored a huge goal.

Cody the all-rounder Cody can play anywhere from goal keeper to striker at a high skill level.

Amos great attacker with a lot of ball skills and alot of heart for the game.

Tristian the improver seems to get better with every game loves the rough stuff.

Jonathon loved being in the action and defending, a great understanding for playing it safe and improved out of sight.

Cameron a great goal scorer great skills and excellent timing.

Devish a mid fielder with all the ability and a big height advantage.

Ben loves to be where the ball is and has improved by a mile.

Over all Paul and I really enjoyed the season and watching the team improve their skill level.

Scott & Paul Coach & Manager

Under 9 WHITE GREAT SOCCER!!!

Well another great season of soccer has finished. Being that it was our first year as a small sided soccer game we had a few wins a draw and a couple of losers. All in all the kids played their hearts out every game.

Caeden: Had a great season in the midfield and also dropped back to help defend.

Dylan: Had another great season as our sweeper always tried his best not to let anyone past him.

Jack: Had a great run in the midfield and scored himself lots of goals as a striker.

James: Did well all season always putting in a great effort in the midfield. Scored a few goals also.

Kyeanne: She is none stop always on the go and is a great little midfielder.

Matt: Always tried his best in every position I put him in. Never gave up.

Shaelee: Had a good go at everything as she was playing up an age group and it was her first season of soccer.

Taleah: Had a great season as a defender always there when she was needed and even got to score a goal.

Vesna: what can I say she is an awesome player scored a few goals and was everywhere. She would make a great striker.

Thank-you to all the parents for their support of bringing the children to training and games this year. Hope to see you all again next season!!!

Thank-you to Mellisa for being the manager again this year!! Thank-you T-Jay for filling in for me when I was away for work!! Thank-you for a great season U9 white and see you all again next year!!

Terry the coach !!!!

Under 9 YELLOW GREAT SOCCER!!

The 2010 season was a special season for many of our players with it being the first time they have ever played the game of football. Partaking in the Small Sided version of the game the boys had some wonderful moments on the park by making the finals of the U9 Knockout Cup and most importantly enjoying themselves every week. I would like to thank Essa for assisting me throughout the year as well as all the parents of the players who assisted myself in ground duty. It is greatly appreciated.

Shanawaz Ayub: Mr “I will play anywhere”. Shanawaz is able to play any position you need him to and even though he is a smaller player his ability to keep his head up when dribbling the ball makes him a danger to any opposition.

Alex Dolores: a true leader and talent on the field with a never die attitude. At times being our sole defender Alex showed class and beautiful technique in tackling opponents and at times saving our side on the counter attack.

Matthew Dela Cruz: Mr Speedy. Matthew was the quickest player in the league often bringing the ball out of own half dribbling the ball into the opponents net. He was our leading goal scorer even though he wanted to play back all year but no Matthew you’re too good a striker.

Sasha Collins: Another of our rookies, Sasha tried his best all the time and showed real heart when playing this wonderful game.

Dane Gibson: For a kid who has never played soccer before, Dane showed true heart and character. Often involved in the biggest tackles of the match and the only 9 year old I know who can perform a sliding challenge successfully. Pretty good for a rookie.

Elias Haman: Playing a year up is always tough no matter what age but Elias proved it to be quite simple. Did not stop running every game and held together the middle field like a professional. At times provided the perfect ball for our forwards and showed he had some very special touches within him.

Nadeali Naqvi: Our biggest asset on the time. Nadeali size and strength allowed him to win 50/50 balls almost at will and his ability to connect with Matthew upfront allowed us to attack oppositions freely and dangerously.

Thanks for a great season guys. Brenton McKneight 2010 U9 Yellow Coach

Michael Everett (Coach) Travis Maddick (Manager) Well what a season we had!! 4th overall and heartbreakingly knocked out in a semi-final penalty shootout. To the boys credit they showed true sportsmanship to the very end and played their hearts out all year. As parents and supporters we can be very proud of the efforts of our children and the way they carried themselves throughout the season. As a team the boys improved continually through the year.

We started the year with a win, which I am led to believe was a 1st for some of the boys. We continued undefeated up until round 6, where we had two losses in a row but we soon bounced back and had a very strong second half of the year with only one loss. Right from the beginning of the season I could see that the boys had plenty of potential and was always confident in being able to mix it with the leaders of the competition. This was shown in the last game of the regular season when we had a 0-0 result with the No.1 team and had all the running but unfortunately we couldn’t convert our chances. As a coach I really enjoyed the year and had a great time getting to know all the boys, we all really have some wonderful children.

One of the major highlights of the boy’s year was being selected to play at the Fifa Fan Fest site on the floating pitch at Darling Harbour. For the parents and children involved it was an awesome experience and one I know you will remember for a long time. Many thanks to Frank, Bob and the Youth Club for organising the Bus on the night.

On a personal level, I would like to highlight one boy (Imran Diab) who I had to leave out of the team in the semi-final as we could only field 16 from a list of 17 players. Imran took the news bravely and is a credit to his family and team mates, it was the 1st time all year we had to make that decision and it wasn’t a good one to have to make. Thank you Imran!

I would like to thank Travis for his assistance over the year and look forward to next year with the same team. I would like to thank all of our parents and supporters throughout the year, we could not have done it without you. I would also like to thank the Boys for the great time I had this year and hope we can stick together over the next few years to build a great football team.

See you all next season Michael

I’d like to start by congratulating all of the players from the U11/2’s this year. You all performed very consistently throughout the whole year. We were fortunate to have reserves this year with our numbers increasing to 16 players. I don’t think I have seen a team so enthusiastic and dedicated as you were this year. Most training sessions every player was in attendance and I think there were only two games, which were during school holidays that the whole 16 players weren’t there. That is a credit to you and your parents.

Luke – shared the roll of keeper throughout the year, winning us a lot of games with his no fear approach to getting to the ball, whether someone was in the way or not. Scored a couple of great goals and played well at centre midfield.

Mathew Jacobs – As usual he was strong wherever he played. His defence was rock solid and helped us stay with the leaders throughout the season. Dustin – Our speedy fullback who helped keep the goals against us down. He was always there in defence and showed some great skills when attacking.

Adam – played left midfield and always seemed to pop up in the right place. He was there to defend and there when needed in attack. Scored a great goal with his left foot that I’ll never forget.

Keegan – One of our best all year. Certainly the best when it came to celebrating his goals. Played great up front and set up many a goal with his pace and vision.

Pritham – A change of position for him this year and he adapted to it so well. He was responsible for some great passes that led to goals. He is one of the hardest workers in the team.

Lachlan – To me, this year saw Lachlan grow in confidence. Every part of his game improved which resulted in him scoring more goals but also setting up a lot. He played with confidence in every game and he attacked the ball. This contributed to our strong performances all year.

Robert – Over the last few years he has played a lot of different positions but this year at centre back teamed up with ‘little’ Matt and made it almost impossible for teams to get past. He also scored a great goal.

Rajat – as always he spent each and every game running, defending , attacking and scoring plenty of goals. Great effort again this year.

Matthew Burnett – Little Matt had an outstanding year as centre back and sweeper. Matt’s defensive skills are sensational. No player is too big to tackle and you can just about guarantee he will always get the ball.

Nish – played well again this year and his support in attack and defence can always be relied upon.

Miles – Shared the goalkeeping and did a great job at it. His efforts on the field were good and he played well all year.

Makenzie – Had a fantastic year in the backs and always gave 100%. One of our most improved this year and always did the hard work to make sure the team had a good chance to win each game.

Anthony – played in a lot of positions and did it well throughout the year. Tried hard every week.

Aaron – one of our tireless workers who just didn’t stop defending, attacking and supporting his team mates. Went close to scoring the goal of the season. One of our best.

Joseph – a hard working and skilful player who progressed fantastically throughout the year. His team play and support play led to so many goals this year when combining with the midfield and the forwards.

On behalf of Arbin, Keenan and I, well done to all the boys, on their excellent effort this year, in making the semi finals and performing so well.

To all the parents we would like to thank you for your support and commitment throughout the year. A special thanks to Nathan McKneight, who was always at training, to help us with the team. Thanks again for a good year and I hope you are all back playing next year.

Under 11/4`s 5th PLACE

Another year has come and gone, with some great improvement from all involved. We enjoyed the return of some players back from 2 years ago and with the influence of them and some new players; they worked together like players of old, to build a great team to work with. The players had a lot of fun playing this year learning new styles of playing the game, building skills and all awhile making some lifelong friends. We finished the season placing 5th with 3 wins, 3 draws and 7 loses with 18 goals this year a great effort by all (This also includes the parents as well for their cheering and moral support). The team’s improvement can be shown in all shapes and forms as follows. Adam - Voted captain this year by his peers, Adam showed great courage on and off the field. Adam has improved in his fitness this year and I found him starting to enjoy being on the pitch. After watching Adam score his first goal this year he wanted more, so a few weeks we let him play up front again and he scored again a great effort.

Alex - started out as a shy and quiet player, however towards the end of the season, we had seen the wild side of him when he scored his first goal for the year and career (with many more to come). Showed some great ability down the wings would be a good player to watch in the future.

Ben - a strong player with a really strong foot, too many opposition players were complaining about sore feet after being stopped, breaking away from Ben, a great fullback with some good runs down the field too.

Brett - Brett was a great utility player he was always good to fill a spot on the field. Always listening to instructions when asked with some great defence skills.

Dylan - coming back after a year’s break Dylan showed some great ability to the game. With his speed he became a great sweeper working with others to stop some great goals, a real active payer in training and the games a real thirst for the game can be found in Dylan and I can see some wonderful things come from him

Kristian - Voted Vice captain for the year. Kristian made his presence in the team was a player that could make every opposition player worried around him. He showed a lot of potential learning new ball tricks and using them in the game. (Even at the end of year party)

Jacob - we only had Jacob for a short time though the year but before leaving was starting to show some ability to the game

Jayden - a great team player who always puts a 110% in everything he does. After return for the evil club of St Mary’s from last year I believe he loved the way that the team beat his old team from last year. Jayden is a great utility player and can play any position on the park

Joshua - After trying out another code last year found that he was better playing a real sport and came back to it, however I believe it did him just, as Joshua isn’t scared to attack the ball this year and towards the end of the year made some great runs down the field only to lose the ball to the goal keeper.

Lachlan (Lockie) - a good keeper always willing to attack the ball from goals, but showed just as much heart when playing on the field, Lockie has become more aware of his abilities, and work well towards them building confidence in himself on the way.

Michael - one player with more than 2 minds, in 1 he can play a great fullback role with some great stops with returning kicks to start on counter attacks in the other a wild goal keeper, with one of the best games played by a keeper I have ever seen played …EVER… putting his body on the line for the team all while being injured.

Sahill - a quiet player but an all rounder of the game who can play all positions. He showed his foot this year with some great long kicks. Scott - at the start of the season being a novice to the game, not knowing how to play or where to stand. After watching the first trial game I watched Scott go into a ball and move it on like a player that has played for years. We then had some problems with Scott but after finally working them out mid season Scott came back and showed that when listening to people’s advice he can enjoy the game and make some good friends on the way.

Sherwin - Sherwin is a player with sound knowledge of the game. A player that would hang back well after training just to get those extra kicks in. Sherwin was looked at as one of our best players on the park and was well respected by all.

Tanesha (steam roller) - the female knocking ball of our team this year. After watching too much of her brother play she decided to join the action with great results. After playing certain games she had the habit of running over the boys in her wake leaving nothing behind, I believe she has been sitting on the bench too long and should keep playing after all she could show her brother something.

William - a real improver this year after starting him in his chosen position of fullback I found that putting him in the midfield role was better for him. With great results scoring 4 goals from it. I believe if he stays in that position he can become even better then ‘Brett Emerton’ who hasn’t scored 4 goals in five games un-like William. He always played with great skill and always puts in his far share of saves too.

Now there were some great things that happen this year that I would add like the first trial game when I had a couple players offer to play for the Strathfield side which showed some great sportsmanship even when there only goal scorer was one of our player Then there was the first game of the year when we came back from 3-1 down to come back in the last couple of minutes to make it a 3-3 game with some great goals by Sherwin to make the team start for the year on a good start. Or it may have been after finding out that my own brother who played for Campbelltown uniting got demoted to our division mid season and after soooo many bad talks between me and him I told him just see what happens in the game. We won 5-0 after speaking to Kristain and giving him a special role (to stay on my brother like glue) which from what I found out after the game he stormed off not wanting to shake hands or even say bye. Good job Kristian Then there was the last game off the year when all we needed to do was win to get into the finals with so many attacks by collies we seem to just stop them at every turn. With some of the best keeper games played by Michael that I have ever seen, attacking the ball diving on it then returning it using his body even a huge dive just to stop the ball going in with finger tips I believe we played a great season this year and next year will be better….I would like to thank all the kids, parents and family members that helped out on our duty days and for all of their support this year. Special thanks go to Tracy, Angela and Anthony for all their help throughout this year with their duties on and off the field. I would also like to thank Mason and Jack from the 10/3’s side for filling in for our team this year. Parents I see that the kids really enjoyed themselves this year with some great friendships made. Would be great to see all the players return in 2011 with the hopes of winning a premiership

MARK BEKS - ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD

The 2010 soccer season has come to an end. No more getting up for early games until next year.

This year’s team was made up of some brand new players and players coming back from our U11’s team from last year. There were 6 girls in the team this year. Go girls!

Although the kids did not score any goals this season, and we had a few games where we were short a few players, it was still nice to see the smiling faces and hear the laughing on the field.

Thank you to all the parents who have helped out with different tasks this year. Every little bit of help counts. A special thank you to Melissa Carre, who is also the Assistant Treasurer.

And, to the coaches Ben and Nathan. Thank you so much for all the time and effort that you have put in this year. Just when we did not know who we were going to have coaching for this year, the two of you turned up and it was great.

Good luck to those who return for the 2011 season.

Thank you Megan O’Loughlin Manager

Under 12-3-BLUE PREMIERS BRENDAN O`ROURKE AWARD

After a successful 2009, the team made the jump to 3rd division where the inclusions of new players such as Myron, Nafiz and Ashwin strengthened the side from the previous season. After seeing the teams potential during the pre season cup against top quality Division 1 and Divison 2 sides, I knew the season was looking promising. My instincts were well founded, the team finishing the regular season in 2nd place. After losing the first semi final 1 -0 to 1st placed Collies in a tough encounter, the maturity and professionalism of the team bounced back to win 1 – 0, in another hard match against Camden Falcons in the Grand Final qualifier, then going on to reverse the semi final result with Collies with a gutsy 2-1 victory claiming the Premiership.

Overall the team should be proud of their achievements this year and it takes a massive effort to win a premiership. I just want to thank all the players for their continuous dedication and effort throughout the season on game day and at training. The manner which you displayed showed in your results and on the field. Thanks to all the parents for taking the kids to training and on game day. Also a special thank you to our manager Sandy, for getting the team on the park week in week out and notifying parents regarding change in training times and days. If it wasn’t for a committed manager, there’s no way I could train the team and organise things so easily.

BREANKA: Not only the best goalkeeper in the competition but also one of the best in the age division. Bree has been one of the most consistent performers in the team and it was no surprise when she was named as the player of the Grand Final an award she thoroughly deserved. Bree played a total of 17 games this season and only conceded 8 goals a magnificent achievement. A keeper to watch in the future. Thanks Bree awesome season.

JAVED: Javed is the “”Mr Fix It”” of the team, in that he has played right back, left back, left midfield and occasionally striker. Javed has improved especially towards the latter half of the season with his high work rate and always giving 100% the type of player that all coaches need. I feel that Javed will have a bigger and even better season next year. Well played Javed.

MATTHEW: Matty has made the left midfield position his own this year. Never lets the team down with his contributions up and down the left flank, in getting past opposition players with his dribbling to set up goals with his attacking prowess. Matty has improved immensely over the past two seasons and I’m looking forward to witnessing more improvement from him next year. Well done Matt

MYRON: Myron has been one of the best and most consistent performers of the season. Endurance of a marathon runner topped off with great ball skills, highlighted by his goal in the Grand Final. Still not sure which is his better foot as is great with both which is very rare at this young age. Myron has been a pleasure to coach and great to watch on the field. Surely going to miss him next season, as his family is moving out of the area. Would like to wish him all the best and look forward to seeing him pull on the green and gold in the future. Great season Myron

SHANNON: Shannon has been one of the standout performers over the last two years. He is solid as a rock at the back winning a majority of the challenges. Not only is he a solid centre back but has the capability of playing in the midfield when need be. Shannon strives to achieve his best every time he steps onto the soccer field. Shannon has worked an excellent combination with Damien and Nafiz at the back with the team only conceding 8 goals all season due to their communication and organisation. Shannon no doubt has a great future in the game and I can easily see him bettering his potential by playing at a representative level. With the loss of Myron next season, I can see a bright future with Shannon continuing his excellent form by moving into a centre midfielding role for next season. Great season Shannon, see you next season.

SHAHNIL: Missed half of the season through illness and injury. Shahnil always works hard to succeed in every game he plays. May not be the biggest or tallest player going around but if there is a challenge for a 50/50 ball to be made Shahnil will make it and consistently win possession especially in the air with his headers. His passing game has also greatly improved. Terrific effort Shahnil, look forward to an illness and injury free season next year.

MARK: Mark is a player who is very confident in getting the job done in any position he is asked to play. Following our other striker’s absence for part of the year Mark was asked to lead the attack. This move proved very profitable for the team and himself, as following his move from fullback to striker Mark was either scoring or setting up other teammates to score. A versatile player he should be proud of what he has achieved this season. Big effort Mark, see you next year.

BROCK: Definitely one of the most dangerous attacking players in the team. Brock has speed to burn on the right side of midfield where he can beat players the majority of times to set up attacks or go for goal on his own. His dribbling is 1st class and his turns, to evade and get away from the opposition has improved immensely since last season. Brock is a player I enjoy coaching and hope that he returns next season. Great year Brock.

TYRONE: A player who has gone from strength to strength over the past two seasons. Tyrone works extremely hard in the centre of midfield and has developed a very good combination with Myron during the year. His passing game both long and short has seen him set up numerous goals for the team as well as scoring half a dozen goals himself. Tyrone is a natural soccer player and this sport is where he belongs and I sincerely hope we see him again next season. A mighty season Tyrone, well played.

NAFIS: Nafis is a true professional in the way he goes about things at training and during games. Very fortunate to have Nafis as part of the team and the way he has improved, in this his first year of soccer. A player with a bright future in the game who remains calm and composed at all times. Nafis reads the game well and forms part of a great defensive backline a must have in the team for next season. Very impressive first season, Nafis.

YOUSSUF: Continues to strive towards his full potential, can play a number of positions but best known as a striker. His shooting can be lethal at both long and short range with his shots more often than not always on target. I believe Youssuf has had a great season, but know there’s plenty of improvement left in him. Overall Youssuf scored some great goals this season, is a team favourite who enjoys his soccer and is one of the players who will step up in a stronger division next season. Well done Youssuf.

ASHWIN: Ashwin is the quiet achiever of the team who impressed with his first ever game of soccer. Always gets the job done in his natural position of right back. Outstanding season for a player having his first ever year of soccer, reads the play very well and is developing a good understanding of the game. Hoping to see Ashwin, continue his improvement next season. Great season, Ashwin.

DANIEL: Daniel missed half the season as he went overseas. With the games he played he contributed immensely scoring a crucial goal in the Grand Final. Daniel has a big future if he continues to work hard and never give up. Hope to see him back next year. Well played Daniel.

DAMIEN: One of the big improvers this year. Always works hard and seeks advice to make himself a better player which shows in his performances. Damien is a strong and tough centre back or sweeper who reads the play very well, in cutting out attacking raids and is definitely one of the players who could make the step up to first division. Great season Damo, look forward to seeing you in action next year.

Under 13/2`s 2ND PLACE TOM FUREY AWARD.

I would like to thank all the parents for their support on the side line and for helping the players get to their games and training. The boys had an excellent season, with a result of Ron Dine cup runners up. I would also like to thank Peter Goddard (team manager) who has been the best manager, organised, always fast to respond and keen help out. Thank you.

Dylan Sutton The fastest player in the competition played as striker and did everything asked of him on the field and at training. Dylan is a great player that showed great skill and was a pleasure to coach.

Jamie Goddard Did not stop running on the field for anything. Jamie was fast on his feet and good with the ball. I had the pleaser of seeing Jamie at his best in the first rough match where he was pushed and knocked down but he did not lose his cool and continued to play a clean game.

Lachlan Marsh Played with heart and soul. A very passionate player that I describe as a hungry player, hungry for the ball and always went that little bit more to get the ball. Lachlan is a young positive player with a big future in soccer.

Dale Shaw Captain for most of the year. Dale organised the team well, he is a natural leader with a glowing passion for the game. I played Dale in the mid field all year round due to his leadership and also because he is a vocal player but was more positive with his comments.

Bradley Weeding I enjoyed watching Brad run with the ball, he always made me smile when he pulled off one of his dummies or fakes and tricked the entire opposition’s team. Continue playing Brad and training Brad I want to continue to see all of the moves you keep coming up with.

Mark Sorial Jugging competition winner of the year. Mark has great skill and when he had the ball at his feet he had the game at his mercy. Mark is a great player that I can see doing great things in the future if he continues to push himself.

Ty Travers A solid defender that had a lot more tricks up his sleeve. Tie don’t hold back next year, bring some of your tricky moves to the field. Tie has a lot of control and skill that could be used in a more aggressive position.

Shaun Thompson Has an awesome kick and skill with the ball. Shawn played all over the park this year, defence, mid field and attack. Shawn is right footed but by the end of the season he was able to kick left footed with a lot more power than most kids on the park.

Stefan Mililvojevic An egger player that is keen to improve and attack. Stephan is a natural defensive player that helped the team great record of for and against. I was pleased to see Stephan down at the park with his brother doing extra training.

Milan Mililvojevic Surprised me towards the end of the season when I had him defending against a player 3x this size and he did not let him push him off the ball or get around him. Millan then continued to defend with that attitude for the remaining season.

Braedyn Evans Can play in any position on the field. Braedyn is a very confident player that would come out of goals to help score goals. Braedyn is a very keen and vocal player that I encourage to be positive and keep your head up.

Cameran Menzies Grand final Macarthur player of the match and well deserved. Cameran is a positive and enthusiastic person who did not question what was asked of him and encouraged others to play at their best.

Adam Goddard Solid in defence and could run all day. Adam was someone I could count on to hold his position, support and organise the back line. A solid player I enjoyed coaching.

Andrew Sorial A natural defensive player that consistently listened and pushed himself to be a better player. Andrew always used his body and great footwork to control the ball and turn our defence into an attacking play.

I understand that not all the games went our way during the season and that we had calls that we did not agree with but I encourage you to take the calls as they come and to keep your heads up. I would like to encourage the boys to continue to train in the off season. I believe you could be a top team in division 1 and much more challenging competition. Post Season Training Idea’s

Best type of training for playing soccer is to play soccer. Get your friends together and play mini games.

Ball control *Kicking the ball against the wall using both of your feet, on the ground and in the air. *Jugging with the ball but pre-empted jugging etc. 1 on the right foot, 1 on the right knee, 1 on left knee and 1 on left foot. Then continue and make harder.

Fitness *Take a ball down to the park and run laps kicking the ball. *Sit ups and pushups in the mornings or evenings.

Under 13/3`s 3rd PLACE I will start by congratulating everybody involved with our team this year. When we got together at the start of the year I think we all thought it would be a tough year but our results for the season deserve to be recognised for how good they were.

We started with some returning players and some new players but very quickly came together as one. We spent the first half of the season suffering with major injury and illness problems and yet still won a majority of our games. This showed commitment and heart that is well above a group of 12 year olds. The pride in wearing the Ingleburn Eagles jersey and the never give up attitude would have been hard to find at any other soccer field on any given Saturday throughout the first half of the season. By this stage we all knew we would be contenders this year and we just had to work hard to make sure every other team knew what a threat we were.

Then came the half way period of the season. We finally started fielding our full team with all our injured and sick players back. From June to August we didn’t lose a game and every player had a hand in that achievement. Our finals then proved to everyone how good we really were and we marched into the grand final with our heads held very high. We might not have won the grand final but I think we all know we gave it everything we had and we didn’t make it as easy as St Marys thought they were going to get it. Individually I could talk forever about the players in this team but I think just some small memories of a great season are due. Some of the improvement from some players was amazing. It is always good to have people come up after a game and tell you how some of the boys have improved so much in one season. Brandon, Jordan, Sean and Josh all come under that category. Our two main forwards, Aqueel and Rohan were strong and scored a lot of goals this year, including some very important ones. Adam returned from surgery with his always smiling face and gave everything he had but remembering his game at goalkeeper always brings a smile. Bodhi returned from his injury and scored important goals but his goalkeeping won us some very important games. Jack Everett became versatile and played a lot of positions but his runaway winning goal at Eschol Park was huge. Ryan became a key piece of our fullback line and scored an important goal in the penalty shootout but any one of us who felt it knows that his deadly shoulder was something to remember. Two players who controlled so much of our midfield area were Zac and Jack Colgrave. Zac had the amazing ability to either score or construct a goal when it was so needed but his goalkeeping display in the penalty shootout was something to marvel at. Jack always defended but his free kicks left most teams shattered. Braedyn was another player who improved by leaps and bounds this year scoring a couple of goals but his shot from outside the box in the semi final was another highlight of the season.

This was a season that any coach would be proud of, but I was always going to be proud of the boys no matter what. The happiness that I have from the season is so much more important to me and the connection that I have with every player is not something easily forgotten. So for that I thank you.

I also want to give a big thank you to Kristy. Without her help with phone calls, team sheets, meetings, picking up players and just managing the team things would not have worked out the way they did. Also to Zac for all his help training and giving the boys an older player to look up to and ask questions. More thanks for every parent for their support, help, advice and commitment. A big thanks also goes out to every player from the 11’s and 12’s teams who filled in so well for us this year. You know who you are.

The 2010 soccer season is certainly one that I will remember for quite sometime.

As a first time coach I was not quite sure what to expect…..

I was pleasantly surprised to be the coach of 13 hyperactive teenagers eager to learn, play soccer and have fun. Now I can’t believe I am about to type this but they had a

I will never say never I will fight Whenever will fight till forever! I will not stay on the ground Pick it up, pick it up, pick it up, Pick it up up up and never say never (Thank you Justin Bieber) attitude from the start that saw the girls proudly make it through to the semi finals.

The girls consistently improved and developed new skills throughout the season; it was great to see them all on the field in the last round of their competition demonstrating great teamwork and co operation.

I would like to thank the girls for the hard work and effort this year, each and every player gave their game and training sessions 110%.

Thank you to all of the parents for their help this season I am sure that you are just as proud of the girl’s improvement throughout the season as I am.

And a big thank you to Courtney and Ian for their tremendous performance this year, it was a pleasure to have you on the sideline with me 

I wish the girls all the best for their season next year.

Thank you for a fun season, Jacquelyn

Under 14 / 2. PREMIERS Ameer Styer Angelo Lambropoulos Kartik Naidu Adil Koya Brodie Wipiti Christian Cerda Conner Hamilton Daniel Weilche Dean Smith Joshua Pierce Ishaaq Forsythe Zackary Forsythe Samuel Clarke Trishan Naidu David Hamilton – Coach Nicole Smith - Manager

This year commenced with the team welcoming some new players to the core squad that returned from last season. We had played well in our 2 trail games and were looking forward to playing in the Ron Dine Cup pre season competition, although they were not looking forward to playing division one teams. The first round saw us draw Cobras from division one and at half time found ourselves down 3-0. We put a new plan in place for the second half and found ourselves winning 5-4. The team then progressed to the final where we played Narellan again from division one going down 2-1.

During the normal competition you could reflect on our season as one where the team only ever appeared to do what they had to do and were rarely seen by me or the parents putting in for the full 60 minutes. We always had great games with Gunners, Fields and St Marys with the latter always seeming to play us when we were short a couple of key players. At the end of the competition rounds we found ourselves in 2nd place and the team started to realise that now was the time to really knuckle down and play and show the rest of the teams in the final series what we were capable of. We played St Marys in our semi final and for once we had our full squad available. We went into this game with a new structure which the team adapted to well and despite being down at half time we finished up winners 2-1 and straight through to the grand finals. The next 2 weeks saw the team partake in the toughest training sessions I had run all year and they all met the challenge head on so that they would be ready for the grand final.

Grand Final day saw us facing St Marys again and we knew that once again it would be a game that would go down to the wire with potentially one goal separating the teams. After a tense first half which saw most of the play in the middle of the park (we had to clear off the line once) we found ourselves deadlocked 0-0. The team jogged off and listened to my instructions and then formed their own huddle and prepared for the second half. Again the half was played mainly in the middle of the park until at the 15 minute mark, we got a break and Angelo calmly drifted right and shot across the goal and past the keeper. Ingleburn up 1-0. We then settled the boys down they needed to focus on the game. With 5 to go we moved to one striker and were able to hold them out and win the Grand Final.

The team and I agreed 2 years ago when I took over that we would win this title and get to Division 1. The team has worked hard and well during the year and deserved to finish as Premiers of their division. They now are very much looking forward to the challenge of division one in 2011.

A quick comment on each of our players:

Ameer Styer (Forward) – Moved from midfield during the year (although we used him there from time to time) and became a player that defences did not look forward to seeing. He was not only capable of scoring (10 goals and joint golden boot) but was able to set them up as well.

Angelo Lambropoulos (Forward) – Scored 8 goals for the team this year and was the scorer of the grand final winning goal. During this season Angelo again grew as a player and scored some great goals while also showing that he had good vision on the field that allowed us to set up play and keep teams wondering what was coming next.

Kartik Naidu (Forward) – A new player to them team this year that showed he was always willing to give his all, both in training and game days. Kartik was able to play in many positions to help the team during the year. We would all love to know how he was able to get to those balls in the air that looked impossible to get.

Adil Koya (Defence) – Another new player this year who started off very quietly on the field. As the season went on we found a role for Adil in the team and he showed many attackers during the year that he was no push over.

Brodie Wipiti (Midfield) – Moved during the season from forward to midfield and ended up being the rock in the centre of the field that was able to control play for us. Brodie also ended up being joint golden boot with 10 goals and the captain of the team for the final series.

Christian Cerda (Midfield) – Still our pocket dynamo. Not the tallest player on the field but pound for pound one of the toughest players on the park. Christian is one of those players that never gives up and frequently bigger players find out that the little guy should not be under estimated.

Conner Hamilton (Goalkeeper) – Came back this season a lot taller and with a little more confidence than last year. Had the nickname of ‘butter fingers’ but lost this during the season. The extra coaching that he received during the year from Paul Jenkins certainly helped with the way he approached each game.

Daniel Weilche (Defence) – A rock solid defender who formed part of the brick wall that made up out back four. While not being the quickest players in the team Daniel always seemed to be able to close down his side of the field and make life hard for most attackers.

Dean Smith (Defence) – Our sweeper in captain of the defensive unit. He constantly amazes us by coming from now where in defence. He improved his game this year by playing long balls from the back that added a new dimension to our play.

Joshua Pierce (Defence) – One of our two stoppers who is always rock solid and can cover both sides of the park to help the team. With his partner Sam they have formed a formidable combination in the centre of the park. One of the toughest tacklers on the park and leaves players in no doubt that he is there.

Ishaaq Forsythe (Midfield/forward) – A utility player who returned to the team this year after a couple of years away in . Ishaaq runs himself into the ground each week and always gives everything for the team. Dazzles the opposition with some of his ball skills and learnt during the season not to take on too much as it did not always help the team.

Zachary Forsythe (Midfield/forward) – Known as ‘little man’ and he makes Christian look tall. Zachary like his brother returned this year and initially appeared to get intimidated by the bigger boys. As the season went on he grew in confidence and ended up one of the strongest players in the team and won the MDSFA man of the match in the Grand Final. A great reward for his efforts during the year.

Samuel Clarke (Defence) – Sam came back this year not sure that we wanted to play. As the season went on he returned to the player that gives 110% each week. A formidable combination with Joshua in the heart of our defence. Sam always wants to score a goal for the team and achieved it this year.

Trishan Naidu (Defence) – Another new player this year. He played up a year to be with his brother. Unfortunately for Trishan he was unwell and only played a few games during the year. However when we needed him to play a role in the grand final he was only to keen to step up and help the team.

The team has had a great season by finishing Runners Up – Ron Dine Cup, 2nd in the regular season and MDSFA Premiers. The team is looking forward to having the chance of playing division one in 2011 and are already asking when we will start training. This team has been an absolute pleasure to coach in 2010 and I look forward to having the opportunity to working with them again in 2011 as they take on new challenges.

Nicole and I would also like to thank all the parents that turned up every week, I know the boys really appreciate the support and welcome the positive recognition that you all provide each week to them. You should all be very proud of yourselves and deserve a big round of applause.

Thank you David Hamilton

Coach

Under 15 / 1`s 6th PLACE

Matthew Black- was a little bull terrier at the back, and always gave me 110% and rarely let a striker get past him

Blake Bertolissio- was a tough tackling defensive midfielder, who scored his first ever goal this season

Cameron Cashel- a very strong sweeper, who reads the game brilliantly and was always keen to get forward (sometimes a little too keen)

Jack Bennett- never stopped running in the middle of the park and loved the hard work and was never afraid to get his hands dirty

Adam Hunt- really is a player who can play anywhere, he unselfishly took on the role of goalkeeper halfway through the season and what a goalkeeper he was, and he pulled off some awesome saves

Andrew Marsh- was my little Chihuahua, he never stopped running around and snapping around the heels of the opposition

Jesse Zuzul- a very skilful player, who can play almost anywhere, he scored some brilliant goals and can take a mean free kick

Matthew Dahar- was a real character of the team and was always keen to get out playing and trying to score a goal.

Aaron Mallet- become a great striker during the season and scared many of his opponents (and sometimes his team mates) with his strong and physical approach

Chris Ryan- was Mr. Reliable, would always get the job done for me. He had an eye for the perfect pass and set up many of our goals

Damien Lauric- was a quiet achiever, he always defended strongly and saved the team numerous times with his last ditch efforts

Zach Turner- was the master of the cross turn shot, with some absolutely amazing goals or crosses, only he knows

Firstly I would like to congratulate the boys Under 15/1’s on their effort throughout the season. Playing Division One football for the first time is never easy, especially with only 11 players for most of the season and often having to play whole games with 10 men. However, the boys throughout the season never gave up and continue to play with determination and grit in every game. Whilst we didn’t win many games throughout the course of the season, the boys did however manage to challenge many teams with no opposition finding us easy opponents. The boys improved week by week and showed a great team spirit and work ethic with each and every player always giving 110% for each other. The fantastic effort and character of this group of boys was regularly mentioned to me by opposing coaches & managers

Each and every player has improved out of sight this season. Opposing teams were often surprised in the 2nd & 3rd rounds by the improvement of our team as the season progressed. The Individual players have become fitter, tougher and learnt how to play new positions. None of this could have been achieved without the help of team parents particularly Tino Zuzul, Ian Ryan and Bruce Cashel, whom helped me throughout the season, whenever I could not make training sessions or games due to my own football commitments. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our team manager Annette Turner for her wonderful work.

Annette kept the whole team informed on the constant draw changes and also helped in finding our team extra players to help us out on a regular basis. A big thank you must go out to those boys that did fill in for our team on a number of occasions. These boys (with some being as young as 13) always stepped up to the mark and played exceptionally well for us. It was always greatly appreciated by me, our parents and the team. I would also like to thank the parents of the team. The support they have shown me, the team and our opponents is greatly appreciated.

Lastly, I would to thank the boys. The boys are all a great bunch of lads whom I have enjoyed working with this year. Your effort has been outstanding. Whether it had been at training or during a game you always did what I asked of you and did so with a full amount of effort. It truly has been rewarding watching you boys develop as players throughout the year and I can proudly say that you have individually all become better players and developed into a great team. I hope you all continue to play football together and I wish you all the best for the future.

Under 15 / 3`s 4th PLACE

This year we had the great pleasure of having a coach that actually knew what he was talking about. Rudy Trinajstic was a blessing this year for all our boys.

Unfortunately we didn't have enough registered players again. Although this was not a great problem during the year because we were able to borrow some wonderful players from lower grades. It did, however, affect our chances in the finals. Due to the great success of The Ingleburn Eagles Soccer Club this year, we were not able to borrow anyone, due to the fact they were playing in their own finals. We were also fortunate enough to acquire the talents of a new young player, Gene Platten, and with the return of most of our players from last year, we made it to the finals.

Tim - The captain. A great leader and the biggest kick in the team.

Gene - A remarkably fast and talented player in attack or defence.

Steven - A good defender and great winger who doesn't give in.

Liam - A very reliable back, never complains, just does his job game after game.

Anuj - Someone who could run all day and has remarkable speed and talent.

Anthony - A reliable midfielder who has a good head for the game.

David - Always tried his hardest to impress and was our backup goal keeper.

Craig - The usual goal keeper who was allowed out occasionally. Even scored his first goal this year.

Shane - 'The Machine' as he's known could be 'The Best' if only he'd put in 100%. Could play 5 games a day and not be tired.

Joseph - Was another new player to our team and always tried his best when he played.

We would greatly love to thank the many young players who helped us throughout the year. And of course their managers/coaches, and of course, parents for letting them play for us. It was appreciated more than you could imagine. We would also like to thank Rudy's son for helping when Rudy had to work. I would lastly like to thank Kristy, for her help throughout the year. Kristy helped out with filling out the player cards before games and collected money, which she didn't need to do. It was greatly appreciated.

See you all again next year.

Under 16 / GIRLS PREMIERS

JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONS.

Well this was one incredible season. A season that all the girls can be very proud to have been a part of. To go undefeated in the league, and be Minor Premiers was above anyone’s expectations, and then capping it off winning the Grand Final was absolutely awesome. We did go behind on the scoreboard a few times in matches, but this team had great fighting qualities, and due to that, and the excellent team work we were always able to come out on top. We always had a good turnout at training, as we believed that the next game was won on the training field before you played it. I can honestly say that all the girls who came to training improved. Job done by coaches. Here are the girls who did themselves, and the Ingleburn Eagles proud in the 2010 season, a season I will never forget. Mike

Patricia Russo If there was a better goalkeeper in our league I never saw her. Pat only conceded eight goals in league games all season. Pat’s handling and positional play was first class. She made three really outstanding saves in the season, when matches were at critical stages, saves that won us games and, saves that belied her years, and not forgetting this was her first time in goal. She gave our defence so much confidence. Well done Pat.

Arielle Wolstenholme Ari was our right fullback. She was fast, and very strong in the tackle, and not many of the opposition players got past her in our games. When she actually won the ball she would try and use it intelligently. Ari was great to work with; as she always listened to the things we used to tell her at training, and tried to put it into practice on match days. Great season Ari.

Rebecca Randall. (Captain) Bec had a wonderful season. Easily the best defender in the league. Tall, fast over the ground, great tackler, good control, good distribution, and possessed a great shot, which she demonstrated by scoring from free kicks. Marshaled our defence really well. Attacks win games, defences win championships. (I think you will remember that phrase now.) With the right guidance can go on to much better things.

Stephanie Rodriguez We moved Steph from midfield to full back, as we thought that she would be a better player when the ball was coming straight to her. Steph never looked back. Good positional play and strong in the tackle she Locked up the left side of our defence, and gave some really good performances throughout the season in the full back position. Well done Steph.

Abbey Rubiolo Abbey was another defender responsible for keeping our goals against to eight all season. Abbey had a good season tackled well and understood her position in the defensive line. She never gave her opposition player any room to move, as her marking throughout the season was first class. Great to work with as she always wanted to learn, and progress. Good season Abbey, keep smiling.

Bobbie Joe Meyer Unfortunately through transport problems B J could not get to training. When she did get onto the field she tackled really well, and a made a big contribution to the team effort. She also understood where she had to play, as we used her in a variety of positions. Nonstop action from BJ when she was on the field and always gave 100% well done BJ.

Angela Wood Angela had a good season. She really came to grips with the position she played, and gave us width on the right side of mid field. Never afraid to help out in defence, and tackled well. In the end part of the season she was taking on players out wide beating them and getting into good positions. Put us on the way to victory in the Grand Final with her first ever goal. Always listened at training so she could improve her game. , well done Angela. Hayley Meyer Hayley didn’t do any training with us due to transport difficulties. When she was on the field she chased, never gave up, and tackled well. A football team is not always about the eleven starting players, but the players who are coming off the bench are really important too. Hayley always gave 100% when she came onto the field, and played her part in the team’s success. Well done Hayley. Tooba Zaidi Unfortunately Tooba couldn’t make it for our Grand Final win, but was a very important part of our mid field set up. Had great energy levels, and was really good at tackling, and winning the ball for her team. Always listened at training, and gave her all at training and on the field when she was playing. Well done Tooba you made a real contribution to our team’s successful season. Keely Hamilton A good season for Keely. She played in midfield where she was very strong, winning lots of tackles and passing the ball well. Keeley possessed a long throw. A throw that a lot of boy’s playing would have been proud of, and it was always a surprise to the opposing teams. She often turned defence into attack with her long throws. Weighed in with a few important goals along the way. Great season Keely. Kate Mcnair Kate had a good season playing in midfield. Very strong on the ball and excellent at winning the ball with her strong tackles. She was always in the thick of the action. Played some really nice balls over the top for our strikers to chase. Really improved as the season went on, and was always reliable in the mid field role. Always willing to listen and take advice to improve her game. Well done Kate. Naomi Byrnes Naomi played on the left side of our midfield, and gave us a lot of width when we were attacking. She really improved as the season went on, and in the latter games was taking people on out wide, beating them and setting up chances for our attackers. Naomi had a good turn of speed and was always a worry to opposition defences. Well done Naomi you can be very proud of your efforts.

Shanelle Zugna Shanelle’s game grew with her confidence. Played up front in a striking role, and once the confidence set in she was a real handful for defences. Really strong on the ball and difficult to knock off the ball when she had it. Was never afraid to drop deeper and help out in midfield, and her passing improved as the season went on. Scored a wonderful goal in the Grand Final to clinch the game for the Eagles. Always willing to listen to improve her game. Well done Shanelle.

Danielle Long Danielle played up front in one of the strikers roles. Never quite managed a goal but came very close on quite a few occasions. She had great speed that got her into great positions, and was always a worry for the opposing teams with her speed. Always reliable on the field and at training, and was happy to listen to advice on how to improve her game. Super season Danskiees, take it forward to next season.

Shannen Gunning 19 goals in eleven games say’s it all about Shannen. Great competitor, with good speed, great ball control, good vision, and possessing a good shot in either foot. Scored some really memorable goals for us this season, and mostly terrorized the opposition defences. Never afraid to drop back and help out in midfield when needed, she was really good in the tackle, and at winning the ball. She was deservedly named player of the Grand Final, and will go on to much better things in football.

Thanks for the Great season girl’s, and best of luck to you all in your football next year.

Under 16 / 2`s MINOR PREMIERS & GRAND FINALIST

Coach: Terry Crotty Assistant Coach: Arbin Kumar Manager: Veronica Crotty The team’s solid performance during the season saw them become minor premiers and make it to the grand final, only to be beaten in a penalty shootout. The boys played well together as a team and all players developed their all-round game skills. They scored 54 goals in the season and only conceded 17 – a great performance.

Pat Benavente Pat was very effective as centre forward, scoring many great goals for the team and working with others so they could score. He is a very versatile player, able to turn defence into attack quickly. His quick speed also was a great advantage to the team. Lyndon Crotty Lyndon earned his place as one of the best goal keepers in his age group with many spectacular saves and all round protection of the goal area. His towering long kicks allowed the team to go on the attack quickly in the opponent’s half. Jack Daniels Jack was the team’s very reliable right back, solid in defence and always troubling the opposition to get past him. He would relentlessly chase down opponents to stop them from having at shot at goal. His ball skills and kicking improved every game throughout the season. Hayden Davies Hayden played midfield and in the forwards and proved to be a very solid player whose skills developed continually throughout the season. His strong defence won the ball for us many times and he was able to create opportunities through skilful passing to other attacking players. Zac El-Masry The team certainly benefited from Zac’s consistent running in defence and attack. He was able to quickly chase down an opponent, secure the ball and turn it into attack for us. His ball skills and ability to do long clearing kicks certainly improved considerably through the season. Taylor Evans Taylor’s energy and ball skills were a great asset to the team. When he played forward or midfield he was able to attack the ball persistently using his very extensive ball and running skills. He was very successful in getting involved in all the game right across the field. Jack Gibney Jack’s game continues to improve every year. This year he developed and showed very effective defence skills, chasing down opponents and winning the ball with his famous slide tackles. His kicking strength saw him become one of the team’s main takers of penalties and corners. Michael Johnson As a natural left footer and with blistering speed, Michael was very effective on the left side of the field, both in attack and defence. His quick footwork and impressive ball skills created many opportunities which often resulted in the team scoring. Alex Jones Alex cemented his place as our left back, with solid defence which stopped many of the attacking moves our opponents had made. He was quick to chase down a loose ball or an opposing player, win the ball and clear it for our team to take control. Joshua Jarman Josh’s strength on the right hand side was very strong and he was able to play in the forward, midfield or back positions. His solid running, defence and kicking was a great asset to the team and his skills keep improving year on year. Nikhil Kumar With his blistering speed, Nikhil was able to cover an enormous amount of ground in defence and attack. His position as centre back was so important to the team. Very few attackers were able to get past his defence. His fancy ball skills also came in very handy when he turned defence into attack. Nathan McKneight Nathan was able to claim the left forward position as his own, with very strong crosses to set up scoring opportunities. His crosses and ability to curve the ball often resulted in him scoring great goals from his kicks, with the ball often travelling some 30-40 metres into the goal. Nathan was the team’s top goal scorer.

Josh Muscatello Josh continues to improve his skills every year. The main positions he held through the season, primarily in the midfield on either the right or left hand side, gave the team a very versatile player who was effective at defence and could also run on to support and be involved in attacking plays. Chad Robinson Chad’s speed and determination to score saw him develop strongly into the right forward position. He was able to quickly take a ball towards the opposition goal and either shoot or cross it to one of our players to score. He always kept up a high energy level for the entire game. Ben Skapik Ben’s talents and running ability saw him cement his position as the team’s centre midfielder. His height, speed and strength enabled him to control the centre, running huge distances and giving our team a great advantage in attack and defence. Chris Skellern Chris was also centre back, proving very solid and effective defence. His ground coverage was excellent and he was able to quickly chase down opponents, win the ball and clear it with long strong kicks. He never took a backward step and could always be relied on to play his position very well.

Under 17/1`s 2nd PLACE Apollo and Dionysus, both sons of Zeus The Apollonian and Dionysian axis: a dichotomy Read: individualism v collectivism rationality v passion head v heart

This season was always going to be the greatest test: how to reconcile past success, ‘maturing’ adolescents, changing desires and continuing expectations? Maybe everyone knew too much: who the opposition was; what they were like; how capable they were; what the structure would be like...maybe? Dave probably identified all of these problems at the outset with his perceptive observation that some didn’t appear to care, even when the shock of having to be graded was realised. It’s nice to be relaxed but strong attitude takes you a long way in life, young men! And, it took so long to warm into the season. No Ron Dine Cup match brought direct success, in terms of ‘statistical’ results, and the first competition match saw a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of the previous season’s bottom side; the worst loss for this side as far back as Under 11s, from memory. Not that it really matters – if you are playing your best. But we weren’t and this side has always exhibited an attitude built on doing the best you can. Of course, the team wanted to; they had tasted the lofty heights of Division 1 championship success and there’s a natural desire to want to defend your crown effectively. There were some great moments in this season’s enterprise. Four fantastic games against Camden Falcons where the side dominated large parts of each match - if not the total encounter - but were pipped each time. Indeed, the grand final could have and probably should have been wrapped up after 20 minutes, given the attacking pressure that was applied. It ended up being an exciting, tense and somewhat surreal game, Dave joking that there was less than a minute left, when we were down 3-2, so we were bound to equalise. We did, but penalties weren’t too kind. Another strong and purposeful effort was against AC United in the State Cup. Again, the side lost but only just! And I don’t think Smithy has played a more aggressive or determined game than his cranky effort at the back in this match. Two very dominant displays against the St Mary’s Yellow side were also prominent. The first match at Kooringa Reserve, when St Mary’s were leading the competition, was most clinical. So, back to the beginning and the two Greek gods... Apollo and Dionysus The Apollonian and Dionysian axis In brief, it defines the idea of making order out of chaos, so one can discover the true essence of things. So, it’s not about elements or aspects in opposition, but about their interaction. Individualism and collectivism; rationality and passion; head and heart ...... and that is what we probably lacked as a team, consistently, during the season: the right interaction, the right balance. Thank you on behalf of the team, the parents, and supporters to Dave. What to say? Some people are good at things. Dave’s good at coaching soccer teams. It’s that simple. The boys know it; I know it; the club knows it. You have been very lucky boys! Jenny Smith – manager: Precise, a little coy, feigns a sort of indifference at times. But she’s not. Thanks, Jenny! To all the parents and supporters – breathe!! It doesn’t start again until February ... we think! And next season they can drive themselves anyway, if they return. Thanks for the support for all the boys.

The Under 17s The team, as we ‘know’ them: Alcalde - Cranky midfielder who wears a silly Chilean jersey to training and works imperiously in the central corridors.

Arien -Enjoys training – particularly the fitness – and playing left back. Um ... enough said!

Ozzy - Got some weird hairstyle at the backend of the season. Played very strongly in many positions. All season.

Smithy - “No one gets past Smithy,” said Dave the coach. “He’s the best in the league.”

Neil – ‘Rhino’ liked to run hard and straight and was justly rewarded with some fine goals.

Dirty - Has the district run out of yellow cards yet? Becoming a very polished and competent left back.

TJ - Has a strange thing going with a yellow Nike ball. Doesn’t hit the others half bad either.

Gabby - Mad Uruguayan! The best is yet to come, we think. A welcome asset to the side.

Buxton - The big man found his feet as a target man up front late in the year. Great back up keeper!

Justin - Still excellent between the posts, but had extra pressure from the sidelines this season.

Sam - Mr Muscle! Started the season on fire with a hat-trick against churches and a spattering of other goals.

God - We are still waiting ... for the run! Solid as ever at right back. Not a striker!

Luke - The Icelandic volcano. Got stuck overseas and sneakily got his P’s in the NT. He’s up to something this kid...?

Pencil - Close to the most consistent all season and very good as captain. Excellent at centre back.

Daniel - The enforcer. Injured for close to half the year but always offered a strong presence at the back.

Flash - Training is at Macquarie Fields Park, Reuben, not at Oporto’s. Very disciplined this year.

All the best to everyone involved with the side for a safe and happy festive season. Good luck to those in the side who are attending trials for youth teams. Some of you deserve the opportunity. If you are successful, enjoy the experience and remember that you play, firstly, because you enjoy the game.

Firstly I would like to thank the Executive Committee, Canteen Ladies, Parents Players and Supporters for making me feel welcome to the Club. I sincerely hope that the friendships that have been created continue to grow in the future.

A very special mention must go to Dave Sunderland – Manager, who would be the most efficient Manager I have been associated with in almost 30 Years of coaching. Many thanks Dave and of course to your boss Rhonda. The first obligation of any coach is to bring the players together as a team to function on and off the field, to build friendships and a team culture that can last a lifetime. Unfortunately I was not able to achieve the desired result whether it is due to lack of communication, clash of personalities or raging testosterone is irrelevant and I must admit I was not up to the task. I don’t feel I need to apologise but admit to my own shortcomings. Individually they are all good guys and I have enjoyed their varying personalities, however as a team they all need to be prepared to make sacrifices for others and not only take responsibility for their own actions but be aware of the effect their actions have on others. The purpose of team sport is to bring out the best in our individual abilities and harness them into a group mentality where all individuals operate together as one. If we are not prepared to work to accomplish this we may as well go and play golf or tennis.

On a positive and pleasing note throughout the year we did have 12 different players score goals. Especially pleasing were the goals scored by players in the fullback position.

Thus however it did leave us with four players having to do the compulsory nudie run. The names of these players have been suppressed to protect the public.

I would like to wish all the players and their families everything they would wish for themselves in the future and hope to see them excel in whatever they choose.

LADIES PREMIER LEAGUE 2nd PLACE

Coach: Frank Jenkins Manager: Karen Jones

October 2009, I made a phone call to a friend of mine to see if I could finally persuade her daughter to come to our great club for a kick. Sarah (Parchy to her teammates) has a great passion for soccer and she doesn’t just kick, she plays hard and has a win at all costs attitude!

I knew there was no spot for her in the two ladies sides that were already at Eagles, but I had no idea that one phone call would result in us having a brand new team. They came from different clubs, one from Ingleburn, and an array of positions (although mostly midfielders) and were not used to having regular training - if any at all. To top it off the majority had never even played at a Premier League level before.

Needless to say their first pre-season match was - for lack of a better word - rubbish. I had a sick feeling that it was my fault as the ladies played out of their normal positions, so we could see what we were dealing with. Luckily Frank Jenkins had come on board to coach the team, so I could blame him instead. Yippee!! I was saved, but unfortunately the ladies weren’t so lucky and suffered with a loss. They really deserved a better start than that in their first game wearing the blue and gold.

We were very fortunate to have ACCCO as our sponsor, to have a Club President that supported us in every way and to have Dave Smirthwaite train the ladies early in the season and run them into the ground. We also had one more late but very welcome addition to our team a little later in the season, a player whose surname of Lauric is synonymous with a great bygone era of this club.

Complaining at training about my bones rattling in the cold and how I would have rather been elsewhere in front of a warm fire seemed trivial compared to what these ladies were about to unfold and unleash. Had I known, I would have reached for a glass of red and scoffed.

They were AWESOME, they were FABULOUS, and the All Age Ladies Premier League was as entertaining as they were a pleasure to be around. These ladies didn’t just kick; they played with style and passion. There were many wins, draws, a couple of losses (against the most unexpected teams); but the two sides that made it to the Grand Final knew exactly who we were and what we were capable of, having not been able to win against us throughout the whole season.

We made it to the semi final with a lot of injuries, very few subs and with the best sweeper in the district (ours) in hospital. Our season was over one match short of the grand final. I am very proud of them being runners up for their first season with Ingleburn Eagles and I am gob smacked at their talent (and still looking for that red).

I’d like to thank Frank very much for coaching these special ladies. We all listened to his match side coaching clinics in the finer points of refereeing, enjoyed his very unique sense of humour and were all baffled by his ability to out-walk us every training session. To our Mums and Dads thanks for being our cheerleaders, especially Baz’s Mum who looks great in a pink fluoro top, wearing it in good cheer. To our boys who did some great work with the sideline flags when there was no ref, thank you, but try not to bag the ref when we DO have one next year! To our friends, lovers and supporters who stood by us all year, putting on bandages, band-aids and whatever else we needed again heartfelt thanks.

This year we started the season by welcoming some new players to the club as well as a couple of players who moved up from last season’s division 5 side. From the word go the team pulled together very well and soon became a formidable side that worried most if not all our competitors.

We commenced the season playing in Division 3 and the team reached the semi finals of the Ron Dine pre Season Cup, eventually being knocked out by a first division team. A great effort by the whole team.

In the normal competition we went through the first round of the competition losing only one game. A remarkable effort by all the ladies.

We then received the news that we were to be moved up to Division 2 by Macarthur Association. The news was not received well by the team and they felt that they were having a potential title taken from them. This only became worse when they were beaten heavily in their first game in Division 2 and we then learnt that other teams had been moved back to their original divisions (including other ladies teams) regardless of still remaining undefeated. All this being said the team knuckled down to the challenge ahead and ended up qualifying for the finals in division 2 which was a fantastic achievement.

The team entered there semi final with their usual enthusiasm but unfortunately were out muscled on the day by Eschol Park and were knocked.

The team faced some challenges from very early in the season including losing a couple of players for the year. Having said that Jeanette and I are very proud of how they battled on and still made the semi finals. To the senior players I thank them for all their efforts this year and especially the way they assisted in developing the younger players during the year and encouraging them. To the younger players you should all be very proud of yourselves and you will definitely be better players in the future from your learning’s this season.

To Jeanette my manager I thank you for being there all season and ensuring that everything was always organised for the ladies and I. To those that turned up each week to watch the team our heartfelt thanks, I know the ladies really appreciate the support.

Thank you David Hamilton Coach

The division 5 ladies team was already taking shape when I was asked to take the helm and Coach. Luckily the pre-season Ron Dine games were just starting, so I was able to combine a number of division 3 ladies into each game to enable grading and individual player evaluation.

When both teams were at full strength and grading had been completed, we were then able to settle down to some serious training, with both divisions combining Thursday evening. This gave me some valuable time to access and move forward with training fitness and required player skills and development. My thanks to Dave Hamilton for his valuable assistance in facilitating the training agenda and routines necessary to elevate each player, to an acceptable level.

Within four weeks of starting the team we suffered setbacks with three players leaving the team and a fourth transferring to division 3 ladies. At this point the team really consolidated and made every effort to bring new players into the team. The noticeable problem now was that we had new players with either no experience in playing soccer, or had not played for fifteen or more years. At the same time our few players that had experience were now being borrowed to play in division 3 as they had nil reserves.

As the season progressed and our players started to suffer from injuries and weekend work commitments, we also needed to borrow Under 16 girls. My thanks go out to the many players from under 16 girls who gave their All to assist and make our games a little more fun. Although we all know that we were the reverse winners, those who participated or played for division 5 ladies team possibly had an experience we will not forget, however we did have fun and enjoy the moment.

AA2 proved to be just as competitive this year as last year and we managed to finish two places higher up the ladder, but in the end we lacked the consistency and fitness of those teams above us, and we struggled for most of the year to find the right combination up front. As with last year we found that at this level there are no second chances and that you get quickly punished for missing chances up front or making errors down the back. Compared to the 2009 season which saw us continually having to borrow players, at least this year we had plenty of players to cover injuries, holidays and work shifts, which meant the only problem we had then was managing the interchange with five players on the bench. Mind you the numbers were nowhere near as good at training but to those regulars who consistently turned up every week thanks for your efforts.

I think one of the highlights of the year was the 3-2 home win against Cobras where we discovered a secret weapon in the long throw to the German on the back post…..what a shame we only stumbled on this in Round 12. Big Dan’s penalty save against Tigers was another highlight, then there was Sundo on all fours on the cricket pitch after a big Saturday night, and the veteran Ricco leading the goal-scoring list and showing some of the young guns how it is done.

A pleasing result for the year was our disciplinary record. We managed to get through to Round 13 without any red cards, and also important was the fact that there was only one red card given to an opposition player all year which proved that games at this level of all age can be played with plenty of aggression and without foul play.

Thanks again to Kevin Hutcheson for managing the side this year; he has done this job for me and other Eagles teams for longer than I can remember so naturally he has it down to a fine art. On the one day Kev was away this year I had to step in and do the paperwork and I ended up a complete nervous wreck even before the game had started. Many thanks Kev.

Finally I wanted to pass on our congratulations to Murray and the AA3 lads and to Stan and the AA7’s, both teams ending up as premiers. Well done guys, great effort.

Regards,

Rod Matthews

ALL AGE DIVISION 3 UNDEFEATED PREMIERS SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONS

Nathan Beks – Goalkeeper and Captain (3 pts , 1 G , 5 CS) The man who led the boys on the pitch, they all listened to Beks, when he spoke at half time or at training, true leader. His actions spoke louder than words, the best goalkeeper in the league. 5 clean sheets, including 2 in the semi and final, awesome effort mate. Don’t forget that penalty he scored at St Mary’s.

Blake Jones – Right Midfield / Striker (3 pts, 1 G) What a pleasure it was coaching Blake, he always had an interesting story to tell us all of the events that happened the night before. Team player, could play midfield or striker. Really improved throughout the season, had a power right foot shoot. Great season Blake.

Ryan Gentle – Right fullback / Right midfield (4 pts) Our new cop added to the team to keep Lindsay under control. Ryan had an up and down season when he was on the field he was a real asset, playing down the right side. An Injury hit season but a solid one. Great season Ryan.

Chris Weir – Centre Back / Centre Midfield (7 pts , 2 Gs) A new edition to the Eagles, Chris could play anywhere and trouble the opposition, with his tall frame; he was really strong in the air, started centre midfield but moved to centre back to form a dynamic partnership with Clayton. Great season Chris

Dean Hasler – Striker (9 pts, 13 Gs) Our leading goal scoring with 13 goals, his speed caused defenders trouble and great finishing, formed a dynamic partnership with Matt. Great season Dean

Matthew Morgan – Striker (6 pts, 5 Gs) Matt had an up and down season with the boot scoring 5 goals but formed a great partnership with Dean. Once Matt learned how to use his body and not give away free kicks he became a complete player. 2 goals against Uniting Church was his best game. Great season Matt

Lindsay Short – Fullback / Midfield (2 pts, 1 G) What a season it was for Lindsay, whether it was in attack or defence, Lindsay played his best, oppositions were intimidated by his freshly inked arm. Thanks for keeping him in line Ryan and Dean. Saved his best game for the final. Great season Lindsay

Brent Campbell – Fullback / Midfield (10 pts, 5 Gs) One of our best players throughout the year, the complete player, powerful defender, great in the air, natural with both feet. Could be used at either fullback or midfield scoring 5 goals. Great season Brent

Clayton Wood – Sweeper (6 pts, 1 G) Clayton was one of our best week in week out, formed a great partnership second half of the season with Chris, and made a crucial slide tackle against Tigers late in the game. Great season mate

Jeremy Judge – Midfield Joined the team towards the end of the season, added spark off the beach. Good to see him get through the final and not get carded. Great season Jeremy

Evan Hall – Midfield / Fullback (1 G) Evan could play in any position I played him, great player to have in your side. You know whether its fullback or midfield he will do the job and do it at 110%. Great season Evan Carlos Benavente – Centre Midfield (1 pt, 3 Gs) Carlos formed a great engine with Jensen in the centre of the park. Very skilful player and could read the game very well. Deadly from the set piece. Another great season Carlos

Adam Feeney- Fullback / Midfield (3 pts, 2 Gs) Mr Reliable, could play anywhere on the park and do a great job. Was part of our awesome defence. Great work rate and was always there to save the team when needed. Great season Feeney

Joshua Hugo – Striker / Midfield (7 pts, 3 Gs) Hugo was so dynamic down our left side; he is fast, strong and had a powerful left foot. Was a team player, he is a Striker but played most of the season left midfield and was a great asset to have. Never complained about being out of position. Great season Hugo

Mark Smith – Fullback (1 pt) Mark was also part of the dynamic defence, strong defender, loves a slide tackle, and was also troubled by cramps. Waited all season for his first goal, had a penalty scored but had to re-take it and unfortunately missed. Great season Mark

Michael Jensen – Midfield (13 pts, 1 G) Saved the best till last, taking out player of the year with 13 points. Guided the team around with class, never stopped running, great left foot, great soccer mind. Pleasure to coach. Great season Jensen

Final Word

I would like to thank Robert Morgan for all his help throughout the season, collecting money every week, filling out the match card, attending meetings, you really made my job so much easier so thank you.

• Our 5 – 1 win over 2nd place Church scoring 4 goals in the second half. • Coming from 2 – 0 down to have a 2 – 2 draw against Tigers.

My season highlight was watching the boys win their final 2 – 0 against Fields!

Congratulations boys - to go through any season undefeated is a major milestone and a treasured memory.

You all put the hard yards in at training twice a week. I wish you all the best for next season; I really enjoyed coaching you boys and being part of this winning team.

What a great season – one to remember - well played guys!

Coach Murray Yabsley

EAGLES CLUB RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT

ROBERT MORGAN– LIFE MEMBER NOMINATION

Robert Morgan, the current Manager of the AA3 Team, who are the undefeated minor premiers of their Division for 2010 season.

Robert has been his son’s Team Manager since 1996 when Matt commenced playing for the Ingleburn Eagles Soccer Club in the Under9s.

For the next 15 seasons Robert continued being Manager throughout Matt’s junior years including a number of Division One teams and premierships.

I have known Robert for the past 3 seasons as a loyal volunteer of his team but also for club, his partnership with the late Mark Beks enabled the current AA3 win their last 3 Grand Finals and winning their third minor premiership in four years playing in the Senior Competition.

Robert’s knowledge, encouragement and demeanour emphasises his nomination for Life Membership for our Club.

ALL AGE DIVISION 6 7th PLACE

The All Age 6 team came to our club from the Minto Stingers this year. The team quickly learnt that to be competitive, you must have 11 players on the field. The team was competitive in every match but suspensions and injuries impacted on them and preventing a playoff position.

The team finished 6th in their competition winning two games and drew four others. One of the draws was against Collegians who at the time had won all their games. Collegians went on to win the both the Minor Premiership and the Grand Final.

The team enjoyed playing with the Eagles club and has the potential to perform well in 2011. Thanks to Joseph (Coach) and Dean (Manager) for their guidance

It is pleasing to reflect on what was a very successful season for the AA7 team. Reaching the semi final of the pre season cup, Minor Premiers and Grand Final winners was just reward for the skilful football played throughout the entire season. The hardest job at the start of the season was limiting the size of the squad to just 18 players. At great expense, six players (James, Jason, Mark B, Aleks, Stephen and Dale) all with previous experience playing with the team were recruited to complement the nucleus of last years’ team. Overall, the squad had the necessary ability in all positions to be a force in what was to prove a very even competition. The key to success was the teams’ ability to win the close games.

In such a short season it is critical to get off to a winning start. That this objective was achieved without the services of goalkeeper Conrad for the first two games, is tribute to the all round skills of the team. Damo and James were great deputies. The team was also good enough to overcome the absence of our captain, Nathan, for several games and other crucial players at various times during the year. Every player contributed to the success of the team.

The only defeat in round one was due to the loss of home ground advantage and the ‘Shock and Awe’ tactics of Southern Districts. Revenge was sweet when we put 4 goals past them in the first 25 minutes in the return game, which ultimately decided the Premiership. A triumph for football played along the ground versus ‘route one’.

The team also showed the ability to handle the pressures of elimination football, with convincing wins in the Semi Final and Grand Final play off’s. There was a memorable run from Nathan in setting up the first goal in the Grand Final. He was a worthy winner of the ‘Man of the Match’ award.

Overall, a great season in which the strikers, midfield and defence each did their job throughout the season. Some players are specialists in their positions and others are able to play equally well in any position.

Handling a large squad of players presents a difficult but enjoyable challenge for the coach. I would like to thank you for your support in what were not always easy decisions. A very special thanks to those local players who were able to attend training on a regular basis and the AA 10’s for making up the numbers.

Thanks to manager Gary and our supporters. Another great season! Last, but not least, to Rod Matthews (AA2 coach) for scoring the winning goal as substitute against Tahmoor. Stan Shepherd – Coach.

EAGLES CLUB RECOGNITION OF ACHIEVEMENT

GARY SMITH– LIFE MEMBER NOMINATION

Gary Smith, the current Manager of the AA7 Team, who are the minor premiers of their Division for 2010 season.

Gary’s involvement with the Ingleburn Eagles Soccer Club started about 20 years ago when his son Graeme started playing U6s with the club, Graeme who is now 26 continues playing in the AA7

During this time Gary has coached Graeme’s team from U7s through the junior years until the U15s or U16s. In recent times he has managed his son’s all age team with club stalwart and Life Member, Stan Shepherd.

Gary is a very polite gentleman, always helpful and is also role model for other managers for being supportive to the coach, players in his team and our club.

I have known Gary for the past 3 seasons, he is also loyal volunteer of his team and for club, his partnership with Stan has resulted in their AA7 being Minor Premiers for 2010.

Gary is an asset to the club, his patience, personality and passion for the game exemplifies his nomination for Life Membership for our Club.

All Age DIVISION 9 7th PLACE

The All Age Div9 team had a great year finishing seventh on the ladder. We started the first game of the season missing half of the players which kicked us off to a bad start. The team played some very pleasing games in the second half of the season which had some of the top teams shaking in their boots.

Chris - (Goal keeper) Is one of the players you watch and think how did you do that? Chris kept us in so many matches and continued to save shots that many would say is impossible - that is, until he saved them.

Keelan (Defence, Mid field & Attack) One of the most passionate and eager players on the field at all times. “Is hungry, he had 5 weet-bix for breakfast but he is still hungry, hungry for the ball & hungry to win.”

Steve (Attack & Defence) Started the season striking with speed but ended the season as the back to be reckoned with. Steve was a thorn in the opposition’s boots, the little annoying pain that would not give up and would always be there to get in the way.

Addison (Defence, Mid field & Attack) Could play anywhere on the field and was keen to attack. Addison was what the team called an example; he received some very soft cards throughout the season. He helped out at the end of the season by managing the substitutions and positions. Thank you

Terry (Mid field & Defence) The man that would not give up. He came early to help set up the field on all early home field matches. Terry was his worst critic but had a terrific season and gave his all. I liked to watch Terry every game he played as he always pushed himself further.

Adam (Defence, Mid field & Attack) Played all over the park throughout the year. Had a rough start tearing both his ham strings in the first trial match we played. Adam returned without missing too many matches to show off his two foot shuffle, fake and spin around the opposition (he continued to do this to the same players and they had no answer).

Andrew - Goggles (Midfield & Attack) Would give all he had sick, tired and/or sore. Wait for no man or ball because if you did you would not get it. In one on the games Andrew got knocked over, flipped himself up to his feet without using his hands, chased down the defender and got the ball back (extreme).

Josh (Defence, Mid field & Attack) Is a team player and came to his best when the team spread out and passed the ball. Josh has a very nice right foot cross that everybody wants to be on the other end of. An experienced player that lead the team by example in both good sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

Alex (Mid field & Defence) Is our most experienced players and when he was on the field, he was able to calm down the plays and got the simple passes going again. I am glad I had the opportunity to play with you Alex.

CJ (Midfield & Attack) Star striker. CJ played up front and in the mid’s and made the team look dangerous whenever he had the ball at his feet. CJ was our goal scorer right to our last game where he put away the first two goals.

Cooper (Defence, Mid field & Attack) Started our winning streak by storing an excellent penalty goal. Cooper could run for the entire game and has an excellent shot on him. I’m glad he was on our team.

Nathan (Mid field & Defence) Most improved player this season. Nathan played this season with his heat on his sleeve, putting in everything he had at every game he played. Nathan played a more defensive position this year and held his position strong.

Jason (Defence, Mid field & Attack) Would pick up every loose ball available and set up some very nice goals. Jason inspired the team and always had a positive attitude. Bring back the crazy legs and unleash the legend that could be.

Luke (Midfield) Could hold his own against any player in the competition. Luke used his skills to charge through the centre of the field and cone any players that got in his way. Not a lot got passed Luke as he used his #13 to stop almost everything.

BJ Stride (Defence, Mid field & Attack) One thing definitely came out of this year for me - Everyone including me, now knows I can’t play goal keeper - No wonder Chris didn’t want to give up his goal keeping position again - I think I scared him too much and people are still laughing about my inexperience.

Paul (Mid field & Defence) Made a difference to every game he attended but was not able to finish the second half of the season due to a serious injury to his knee. Hope your knee recovers and you are able to play again next year.

Playing with this team I have had the opportunity to have two absolutely awesome years of playing soccer. Even though we have not finished high on the ladder I have had so much fun over the last two years of playing. I found it difficult to coach and play soccer; I believe we could have had a much better result with someone calling the game from the side line. Thanks Stephanie for all your hard work sorting out the paperwork and the money. Your tops!!! BJ Stride

All Age DIVISION 10 8th PLACE

The All Age 10 team was made up of players who had played in the past for our club and other current players. They had a squad of 15 but due to injuries and unavailability had difficulty in having 11 players on the field each match.

However, the players turned up to each match and gave 100%. They won only one match but were competitive in most games. The team had some very skilful and competitive players but lack of numbers on game days made their task more difficult.

Credit is given to all players of All Age 10 who showed the spirit of our club especially Ivan (Captain) and Lanx (Player/Manager)

OVER 35’s 2nd PLACE

Gary Bain Kevin Brown Hector Cerda Graham Clarke Peter Dale Matthew Davis Mark Iddon Andrew Mackay George McKenna Jim McGuinness Roy Reid Daniel Rodriguez David Smirthwaite Gary Wilson Roger Zugna Coach: Gary Wilson Well that was definitely the season that got away. We started strong with two good wins & had a very unlucky loss due to a very heavy injury toll. Still we recovered from that to win all our games up to round 9. Bradbury really ended up having the wood on us this season. We did however save our best game for Narellan (the eventual winners) in round thirteen. That at least stopped them from going through the competition undefeated. This year was one of the most enjoyable seasons I think I have had for some time. The team consisted of some old (current) players & a mix of some new. Those new players added their own style & helped us blend into a very good team, always hard to beat in any game. Before I give you a little run down on each player I would like to thank Phil & all the committee on behalf of the 35’s for a great trouble free season.

Gary Bain: Gaz said at the start of the season that his knees were no good & he would play goal keeper. He did a terrific job & did venture out onto the field in a few games & showed some sparkle Kevin Brown: Sadly for Kevin he broke his ankle against Bradbury in round 4 & played no further part in our season. Hector Cerda: Hector played in our Midfield; he certainly was our energizer bunny. He didn’t stop, a very tough player! Graham Clarke: Graham had a great season. Played midfield & scored some great goals (3). But he will always be remembered for turning up each game with all his gear in an environmentally friendly woolies bag. ?????????????? Peter Dale: Peter was one of our new players & he fitted in like he had been playing with us for years. He scored some memorable goals this year (5) & to add to the degree of difficulty he scored most of them from deflections. It takes a great player to shoot sometimes away from goal only to see it hit someone & go in. Matt Davis: Matty was one of our most solid performers this season playing at stopper & eventually being moved forward late in the season for a memorable hat trick in the second semi final. Mark Iddon: Band-Aids had a great year yet again. Scoring some dazzling goals (5) & making some breathtaking runs. Some of his runs had us all worried that he may never get his breath back Andrew Mackay: Andrew had a good year playing fullback & always proving very hard to get past. His best game was against Narellan at Narellan. Playing against a faster player he gave nothing away. Well done. George McKenna: George was one of our new players. He played with great heart in every game. He scored a great goal against Narellan that left our goal keeper speechless. If you have heard of the Maradona Hand of God. This was the Toe of George Jim McGuinness: Jim joined us in the second transfer window & straight away was able to fit in. Jim scored some great goals (6) he also carried injury for most of the season but battled on & never let us down. Roy Reid: Roy once again displayed his skill & talent throughout the year, scored some good goals (5) & made many great runs which led to goals. Roy is that what you wanted me to say I forgot some of it????? Daniel Rodriguez: Daniel is a good player that never gives up & also never gets tired. Unfortunately he picked up a bad injury that kept him sidelined for the later part of the season. His SMS about his Hemi?? Worried me, I was going to put him on to Roy’s doctor. Roy couldn’t sit down for a few day’s but come good pretty quick??? Dave Smirthwaite: Our Captain our best player. He played some great games this season & scored some top shelf goals (6). Dave led by example. In one of our games he was sent off. If anyone was watching please don’t do that. Gary Wilson: Once again I was the team’s most valuable player. I would turn up & I could hear everyone saying Gary’s here did he bring the esky??? Roger Zugna: Roger had a great year playing up front scoring some really good goals (7) in total & the leading goal scorer. He also filled in to goalkeeper & pulled off some great saves. He was also our team’s quickest player in every way fastest runner & also fastest healer. In one game he told us he had broken his toe & five minutes later it was healed?????

The following players need to report for the nudie run. Please let the other players know when you can arrange this event so we can get the esky loaded & the BBQ ready

Bain, Brown, Rodriguez, Mackay.

Just kick it Pete Roger in full flight Iddon Gooooaaallll
