Vastuullisia Matkailureittejä Aktiivisille Seikkailijoille Vastuullisia matkailureittejä aktiivisille seikkailijoille Minna Aro Opinnäytetyö Matkailun liikkeenjohdon koulutusohjelma 2021 Tiivistelmä Tekijä Aro, Minna Koulutusohjelma Matkailun liikkeenjohdon koulutusohjelma Opinnäytetyön nimi Sivu- ja liitesi- Vastuullisia matkailureittejä aktiivisille seikkailijoille vumäärä 81 + 15 Opinnäytetyö on toiminnallinen työ, jonka toimeksiantaja on Visit Finland. Siinä on suunni- teltu vastuullisia matkailureittejä eri puolille Suomea omatoimisesti matkustaville kansain- välisille matkailijoille, jotka edustavat segmenttiä aktiiviset seikkailijat. Matkailupalvelujen tuotteistaminen matkailureiteiksi lisää Suomen kiinnostavuutta kansainvälisillä matkailu- markkinoilla. Työn tietoperustassa käsitellään vastuullista ja kestävää matkailua, esitellään eri kansalli- suudet matkailijoina sekä esitellään matkailutuotteiden tärkeitä ominaisuuksia. Vastuulli- silla teoilla vähennetään matkailun negatiivisia vaikutuksia ja pyritään kohti kestävää mat- kailua. Sustainable Travel Finland -merkin avulla matkailuyritykset kehittävät toimintansa vastuullisuutta ja viestivät siitä. Aktiiviset seikkailijat ovat aktiivisesta liikkumisesta luon- nossa kiinnostuneita matkailijoita, jotka tulevat Suomen matkailustrategian päämarkkina- maista Saksasta, Iso-Britanniasta, Kiinasta ja Japanista. Digitaalisuus, saavutettavuus, elämyksellisyys ja vastuullisuus ovat matkailutuotteiden tärkeitä laatuun vaikuttavia ominai- suuksia. Työn aineiston muodostavat matkailuyritysten ja matkakohteiden englanninkieliset verkko- sivut, joita tarkastellaan sisällönanalyysin avulla etsimällä aineistosta teemoja, luokittele- malla niitä ja tekemällä niistä lopuksi johtopäätöksiä. Luokittelun pääluokat ovat reiteille asetetut kriteerit digitaalisuus, saavutettavuus, elämyksellisyys ja vastuullisuus. Työn tuloksena syntyi neljä matkailureittiä. Kesäiselle Posiolle sijoittuva, saksalaisille mat- kailijoille kohdistettu reitti sisältää kalliokiipeilyä ja yömelontaa. Brittien reitillä syksyisellä Torronsuolla patikoidaan lintuja tarkkaillen ja pyöräillään Liesjärvellä. Kiinalaisille on talvi- sia aktiviteetteja Saimaalla monessa eri kohteessa. Japanilaiset kalastavat ja osallistuvat koskenlaskuun Pohjois-Karjalassa sekä vierailevat Verlan tehdasmuseossa. Reitit ovat 4–6 päivän pituisia, ja niillä liikutaan junalla, vuokra-autolla ja lentokoneella. Kaikkiin reittei- hin sisältyy majoitus- ja ruokakokemuksia sekä nähtävyyksiä. Työssä konkretisoitui vastuullisuuden merkitys matkailutuotteen laadulle. Sustainable Tra- vel Finland -merkin saaneiden yritysten verkkosivuilla viestittiin vastuullisuudesta ja kerrot- tiin matkailijoille selkeämmin yrityksen tuotteista kuin muiden yritysten sivuilla. Englannin- kielisten verkkosivujen merkitys tiedonlähteenä kansainväliselle matkailijalle todettiin suun- nittelun aikana. Kehitysehdotuksena työssä tuli esille, että matkailuyritysten tulisi kuvata paremmin tuotteidensa elämyksellisyyttä ja kertoa aktiviteettien turvallisuudesta. Matkailureittien suunnittelu kansainvälisille matkailijoille on ajankohtaista ja tärkeää Suo- meen saapuvan kansainvälisen matkailun edistämiseksi. Meillä ei ole matkailun veto- nauloina toimivia maailmanluokan nähtävyyksiä. Suomi on sijainniltaan kuin saari pohjoi- sessa Euroopassa ja monien kansainvälisten matkailijoiden mielestä vaikeasti saavutetta- vissa. Meillä on kuitenkin kaunis puhdas luonto, omaleimainen kulttuuri ja paljon mielen- kiintoisia matkailutuotteita eri puolilla Suomea. Ongelmana on vain se, miten kansainväli- set matkailijat löytävät runsaan matkailupalvelutarjontamme. Matkailureitit ovat eräs ratkaisu asiaan. Matkailupalvelut ovat helpommin löydettävissä, kun ne on paketoitu teemallisiksi kokonaisuuksiksi. Matkailureitit ovat matkailutuotteita, joilla Suomi voi kilpailla kansainvälisillä matkailumarkkinoilla. Suomi näyttäytyy kiinnosta- vampana matkakohteena, kun tarjolla on valmiita reittejä monipuolisine sisältöineen. Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on lisätä matkailureittien valikoimaa kansainvälisille matkailijoille. Työn toimeksiantaja Visit Finland antoi tehtäväksi suunnitella matkailureittejä yhdelle Suomen matkailustrategian mukaiselle kansainvälisten matkailijoiden kohderyh- mälle, ”aktiivisille seikkailijoille”, jotka tulevat Suomen matkailun päämarkkinoiksi määritel- lyistä maista Saksa, Iso-Britannia, Kiina ja Japani.     Ramsar List - page 1/55 The List of Wetlands of International Importance Published 21 October 2020 The Ramsar List was established in response to Article 2.1 of the Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar, Iran, 1971), which reads: “Each Contracting Party shall designate suitable wetlands within its territory for inclusion in a List of Wetlands of International Importance, hereinafter referred to as ‘the List’ which is maintained by the bureau [secretariat of the Convention] established under Article 8.” Wetlands included in the List acquire a new status at the national level and are recognized by the international community as being of significant value not only for the country, or the countries, in which they are located, but for humanity as a whole. The Convention establishes that “wetlands should be selected for the List on account of their international significance in terms of ecology, botany, zoology, limnology or hydrology.” Over the years, the Conference of the Contracting Parties has adopted more specific criteria interpreting the Convention text, as well as an Information Sheet on Ramsar Wetlands and a Classification system of wetland type. All issues pertaining to the Ramsar List were encapsulated in Resolution VII.11 adopted by the Conference of the Parties in May 1999 and entitled Strategic Framework and guidelines for the future development of the List of Wetlands of International Importance1, which has been frequently updated. Everything in the Strategic Framework is founded upon this “Vision for the Ramsar List”: “To develop and maintain an international network of wetlands which are important for the conservation of global biological diversity and for sustaining human life through the ecological and hydrological functions they perform.” Full data submitted by the Parties for each of their Ramsar Sites, with one-paragraph descriptions of each site, are entered in the Ramsar Sites Information Service (rsis.ramsar.org).

The oldest mires are about 11 000 thousand years in Eastern Finland. AND OF MIRES The youngest mires develop at present along the Bothnian Bay coast in the west. In the south, mires have some similarity to Central European mires, and in the north the mires are close to the Arctic. Secondly: One third of the territory of Finland has been covered by mires and they have also been a target of very intensive land use. The history of land use and data on the nature conservation activities are presented in this book. The earliest use of Finnish mires has been to turn them into arable fields. In the 1900s there has been very extensive drainage for forestry. Also peat extraction, water reservoir construction, road construction and settlements have destroyed mires. On the opposite, especially during the second half of 20th century there have been several programmes to protect mires. Thirdly: As a consequence of different activities in Finnish mires we have had a long and versatile tradition to study mires. This book gives an overview of the knowledge we have on our mires in Finland.

As public organizations, they endeavor to proactively communicate information to citizens, promoting transparency and accountability. It is important to study the case of national parks because of their relevant role in preserving natural and cultural heritage and promoting a very rich scenario of policy-making and responsible local and global citizenship. Some insights have arisen for political management of these institutions. According to the analysis of the results, it is shown that there exists a significant presence of these entities in Facebook, even if this type of communication is perhaps in its infancy. The results suggest that a potential factor (country in which each park is located and the corresponding administration style) exists, in order to explain significant differences between parks. INTRODUCTION In the context of the global crisis and post-crisis, trust in corporations and public bodies has suffered tremendously.
