Betty Moore | A resident of the St. Johns Church Old and Historic District since 1964, died November 19, 2011. She came to Richmond in 1963, she was recruited to teach Human Nutrition at the Medical Col- lege of Virginia School of Nursing (now Virginia Com- monweath University) by Dean Doris Yingling. And it was at the urging of Dean Yinging that Betty toured the recently restored Turner-Sinton House (c. 1803) during Virginia Historic Garden Week and decided to rent it, eventually she bought it.
