CUB SCOUT PACK #____________ Requirements (all must be checked) EARN THE JOURNEY TO EXCELLENCE UNIT AWARD FOR 2017 Recharter on or before the District Recharter Day Hold a scheduled Committee Meeting at least quarterly (4 times a year) Hold a Parents meeting at least once a year Hold a Blue and Gold Event Pack maintains their BeAScout information in Legacy MyScouting at http://MyScouting.scouting.org Have a Pack Uniform inspection, by your Unit Commissioner, this year Earn the Pack Summertime Award Hold a Scouting recruitment drive and attend the District Membership recruiting kickoff meeting Have an adult assigned and active for Religious Emblems Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Health and Safety Advisor Hold a Crossover ceremony, if scouts are graduating in your pack Request a Den Chief from your local Boy Scout Troop – Specify Troop ______ Participate in the Klondike Derby, Webelos Outback Adventure, or Webelos Outing sponsored by a Troop provided your pack has eligible Webelos Attend and participate in a Scout Sunday, Scout Sabbath Service or other Religion’s equivalent Hold a Friends of Scouting Campaign Participate in Popcorn or Camp Cards sales Pack either holds or participates in a Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, or Space Derby Perform or offer to perform a service project to your charter organization and log Service Hours into https://servicehours.scouting.org/UI/Security/Login.aspx Hold a Pack campout (may be in conjunction with a Council or District event like Spook-o-ree, Northern Ridge Cub-O-Ree, Duty to God, OA Trailblazer, etc.) Participate in Cub Scout Twilight Camp or attend Summer Encampment Submit a Unit Godsend Award Nominee at Recharter Have Unit representatives attend the Annual District Recognition Banquet Invite your Charter Representative or member from your Unit approved by your Charter Representative, to attend the Annual District Business Meeting this year Have a Representative attend at least 5 Roundtables Unit participates in a food drive Hold a Youth Protection Seminar (It Happened to me) for the scouts, adults, and parents in your Pack Unit Leader: MyScouting at http://MyScouting.scouting.org Have a Troop Uniform inspection by your Unit Commissioner Hold a Scouting recruitment drive and attend the District Membership recruiting kickoff meeting Have an adult assigned and active for Religious Emblems Coordinator, Training Coordinator, Health and Safety Advisor, Life to Eagle Coordinator Attend and participate in a Scout Sunday, Scout Sabbath Service or other Religion’s equivalent Have a Troop Chaplains Aide, who provides prayers for Troop meetings, special meetings etc. and religious services for campouts Participate in a Crossover ceremony OR have a Crossover team available for the District to use at a ceremony Have your troop participate in Klondike a Troop sponsored Webelos Outing or send a troop contingent to the Northern Ridge District Cub Scout Twilight Camp Attend the District Camporee or Council Encampment Hold a Friends of Scouting Campaign Hold 7 campouts or overnight activities/outings Participate in Popcorn or Camp Card sales Have Unit Representatives Unit attend the Annual District Recognition Banquet Invite your Charter Representative or member from your Unit approved by your Charter Representative, to attend Annual District Business Meeting Have a Representative attend at least 5 Roundtables Perform or offer to perform a service project to your charter organization and log Service Hours into Counselors in your troop Troop holds a Junior Leader Orientation Course Hold Order of the Arrow Elections for the Scouts and submit elections report Have a Troop Order of the Arrow Representative (If once a year (pot luck dinner, Holiday party etc.) Have an Official Crew/Team Uniform Have a Crew/Team Uniform inspection by your Unit Commissioner Hold a Scouting recruitment drive and attend the
