He is currently filming season 2 of ‘Iron Fist’. He played the role of a skilled warrior and popular tournament champion Ser Loras Tyrell, The Knight of Flowers, in six seasons of HBO’s Game of Thrones. In 2010, Finn appeared alongside eleventh doctor, Matt Smith, as Santiago Jones in the Doctor Who spin off The Sarah Jane Adventures. In 2015, he was featured as the Bloomsbury Group poet/artist Julian Bell in BBC2’s Life in Squares. He won the 2013 Marcello Mastroianni Award at the Venice Film Festival for his captivating performance in Joe, opposite Nicolas Cage. That same year, he was praised by numerous film critics for his starring role in Mud, opposite Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon. For his role in Mud, he received a 2014 Critics’ Choice nomination for Best Young Actor while his entire cast was honored with the 2014 Robert Altman Award at the Independent Spirit Awards. An actor by trade, Osric played Nima, the young Tibetan monk, in Roland Emmerich’s “2012” for Sony Pictures and featured in 5 seasons of the hit CW series SUPERNATURAL as the beloved Kevin Tran. Most recently, he was a series regular on the BBC America series, DIRK GENTLY’S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY. Osric is also involved in many independent film projects and is currently producing and starring in his first independent feature film shooting here in the Philippines called EMPTY BY DESIGN. MEDIA GUEST BRIAN MUIR Brian Ian Muir, one of the most respected sculptors and artists in the film industry, has worked on numerous projects for over 48 years. In 1968, at the age of 16, he began his 4-year apprenticeship as a sculptor/modeller at Elstree Film Studios. After completing his apprenticeship, Brian left the film industry. He honed his skills by working on many prestigious commissions in London i.e. Royal Coat of Arms for the Crown Court, plaque for Stock Exchange (unveiled by the Queen). In 1976 Brian was asked to return to Elstree Studios to work on Star Wars and sculpted the now infamous Darth Vader. He also sculpted the Storm Trooper armour, Death Star Droid, CZ 3 and finishing work on C3PO. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME 05 06 COMIC ARTISTS ALEX SINCLAIR Alex Sinclair has worked in the comic book industry as a colorist for 25 years. He has spent most of his career coloring for DC Comics and their many iconic characters. Alex has worked on many series including Batman, Superman: Unchained, Green Lantern, Justice League, Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman. His collaborations with Jim Lee and Scott Williams on Batman Hush, as well as Ivan Reis and Joe Prado on Blackest Night earned him global recognition and multiple awards. His current projects include Harley Quinn, Dark Knight III and Frank Miller’s prequel to 300, Xerxes. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME LAN MEDINA Lan Medina is the first Filipino artist to win the prestigious Will Eisner Comic Industry Award in recognition for his work on Fables (for Best Serialized Story/Vertigo-DC Comics). The Eisner Award is the industry’s equivalent to Oscar. In 2007, he was one of the awardees in the Glyph Comics Award (Fan Award for Best Comic). Widely renowned for his memorable run on Fables, Lan was also recognized for his pencils on Aria and Stone (Image Comics) and later on Foolkiller, Deathlok, Venom Carnage, Cable/Deadpool, District X, Silver Surfer and the Punisher for Marvel Comics. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME 07 COMIC ARTISTS MIKE MCKONE Hailing from England, Mike McKone’s first published work was for DC Comics’ Justice League of America and Marvel Comics’ Punisher series. Since then, he has illustrated almost every major character for the big two publishers, including lengthy runs on Teen Titans, Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four. Recent projects includes the Avengers graphic novel: Endless Wartime and Justice League United. Now residing in the US, McKone is working on a creator owned project while providing covers and merchandising illustrations for clients such as Marvel, DC, Dynamite, Valiant, Dorling Kindersley and Converse. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME PHIL NOTO Born in 1971, Phil Noto grew up in Florida and attended the Ringling College of Art and Design. After college he began a career in animation at Walt Disney Feature Animation where he worked on films such as as Lion King, Pocahontas, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan and Lilo & Stitch. In 2001, Phil started his comic career as the cover artist for DC Comics’ Birds of Prey. Since then, he has worked on numerous projects such as Danger Girl, The Avengers, X-23, Uncanny X-Force, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Infinite Horizon, Black Widow, Chewbacca, Poe Dameron and most recently, Inhumans: Once and Future Kings for Marvel. Besides doing comic art, Phil has also illustrated the best-selling series of middle grade novels for Lucasfilm Publishing leading up to Star Wars - The Force Awakens and also does large scale paintings for gallery shows. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME 08 COMIC ARTISTS WHILCE PORTACIO Fil-Am comicbook veteran Whilce Portacio, also popularly known as Bishop creator (of X-Men) broke into the comics industry inking Marvel classic Longshot in 1985. He then penciled The Punisher series in 1988. In 1990, Portacio’s artworks are headlined by works such as The Uncanny X-Men and X Factor. His other works also include Heroes Reborn: Iron Man, Wetworks, X Force, Batman Confidential,Authority, Stormwatch, Hulk, Journey Into Mystery. To date, Portacio has returned to working independently for Image, Marvel and DC. He did Spawn, Artifacts, Hulk, Journey Into Mystery, Uncanny X Men and graced various Marvel covers. Together with Glen Brunswick (writer of new Line Cinema’s Frequency), they have launched a new creator-owned book called Non-Humans. Not only that, they are also planning to launch a new scifi book which is due this year. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME ARTGERM Born and bred in Hong Kong, the multifaceted Stanley Lau, aka Artgerm, wears different hats as an illustrator, designer, concept artist, creative director and co-founder of Imaginary Friends Studios — a world acclaimed digital art studio that produces high quality artworks for the likes of CAPCOM, DC Comics, Marvel Comics and other giants in the entertainment and gaming industry. Formally trained in graphic design and advertising, Stanley’s art is imbued with a strong sense of aesthetics and visual fluidity. It is a perfect blend of eastern and western art styles. Better known by his handle Artgerm, Stanley’s art continues to infect and inspire new generations of artists and his ever-growing fan base around the world. Presently, Stanley and the 2 other partners of IFS (Kendrick & Kai) are running a full-time diploma course in Digital Design & Illustration for aspiring artists worldwide, in collaboration with 3dsense Media School Singapore. • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME 09 10 THE CAGE JUDGES CANVAS COSPLAY Philip Odango is a Filipino American theatre producer, author and costume crafter. Born in the Philippines and raised in the United States, he has spent the last decade directing and producing over two dozen theatrical productions. He is also known for his award-winning costume design work as Canvas Cosplay. His cosplay of Maui from Disney’s Moana is recognized by Disney’s head of animation as “The real Maui.” His costumes have officially been featured by Marvel, Disney, Cosplay Culture Magazine, SyFy Channel, The New York Times, Good Morning America and many more. • SPONSORED BY: • FIND HIM @ WALK-OF-FAME LEON CHIRO Leon Chiro, a professional cosplayer from Italy, currently works for Riot Games as an official Cos-Model for the champion Rakan, from League Of Legends. He is also an official cosplayer for big videogame companies such as Ubisoft ( Assassin’s Creed / Watch Dogs ), Square Enix ( Gladiolus - Final Fantasy XV ), and Capcom ( honorary mention for his Dante), among others. He has been invited as a special guest in more than 80 events, in more than 30 different countries around the world, judging cosplay competitions and hosting panels and conferences.
