Section 516(1A)

ORDER

Maximum tariff for purposes of the definition of boarding house and lodging house

Under delegation from the Minister administering the Local Government Act 1993, I determine that for the period 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 (inclusive) the maximum tariff, exclusive of GST, for a boarding house or lodging house for the purposes of section 516(1A) of that Act is:

(a) Where full board and lodging is provided-

$401 per week for single accommodation; or

$663 per week for family or shared accommodation.

(b) Where less than full board and lodging is provided-

$270 per week for single accommodation; or

$446 per week for family or shared accommodation.

NOTICE

Maximum interest on overdue rates and charges

Under delegation from the Minister administering the Local Government

Act 1993, I specify, pursuant to section 566(3) of that Act, that for the period

1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 (inclusive) the maximum rate of interest that may

be set by a council in respect of rates and charges that remain unpaid after they

become due and payable shall be 6.0 per cent per annum.
