For the 2014-2015 school year, we are currently 300 FIPA members with 900 children enrolled in the IS program. FIPA's Income: - Memberships and donations: $ 48,665 - T-shirts, notebooks, books and participation in book and video clubs: $ 11,603 - Sponsorships and French political donations via FIPA lobbying (Deputy and Senator): $ 42,258 Action: - Campaigned to raise money and attention about the lack of teachers for the IS program. Miami Dade Public Schools ultimately funded the 4th teacher at Coconut Grove Elementary - Organized a petition to save the French IS program and maintain homologation in public schools in Miami supported by over 9,000 followers Financial support for schools and teachers: - 5 Assistant teachers funded by FIPA (visa, airplane tickets, monthly stipends). In large classes, they have become vital to students learning and help maintain the quality of education. Yearly cost: $ 60,000 - 3 new teachers at ISCHS: Airplane tickets, fingerprints and salary adjustment paid by FIPA. FIPA (French International Program Association) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the French International Studies program taught in four schools in Miami-Dade county from 1st to 12th grade: Sunset Elementary, Coconut Grove Elementary, Carver Middle, & the ISCHS. FIPA supports:  French teachers & assistant teachers (visa, monthly stipend, hosting...)  Cultural events at school and out of school  Training & travel expenses for faculty  Tools & pedagogical resources for the classroom
