N u m . 1 7 0 Manuel Rodn'guez de Llauder M arques del Valle de Ribas On S unday, March £ 17th, the «Rapsodia Sinco- pada» by Manuel Rodrf- ; guez de Llauder - Marques del Valle de Ribas, had its • premier in an arrangement for band in the «Palacio de i la Musica.* Performed by the «Banda M unicipal* with the collaboration of the distinguished pianist ; Ana Marfa C ard o n a, the work was enthusiastically applauded by a capacity : audience. «Rapsodia Sincopada* had its original premier for orchestra and piano in 1961; its ballet version with choreography by Juan Magrina. was performed in the «Gran Teatro del Liceo» in 1962 under the baton of the young American conductor Adrian Sunshine.
