Le gare si terranno presso la National Gymnastics Arena. Risultano iscritti alla manifestazione 680 atleti da 114 paesi dei 5 continenti. Il 27 Settembre si terrà, dopo l’esordio al Campionato del Mondo di Budapest 2017, la gara a squadre mista. Gara a squadre mista che ricordiamo, troveremo anche ai Giochi Olimpici di Tokyo tra meno di 2 anni. Questa è l’edizione n° 26 del Campionato del Mondo di Judo. La prima si tenne nel 1956 a Tokyo con cadenza biennale, ed era riservata solo alla classe maschile. L’edizione del 1977 che doveva tenersi a Barcellona venne annullata per le tensioni tra Cina e Taiwan. Dal 1980 si tiene anche il torneo femminile, che per le prime 4 edizione si teneva separata da quello maschile in anni alternati. Dal 1987 ci fu l’unificazione e dal 2009 la cadenza biennale venne soppressa a favore di quella annuale. Nell’anno olimpico il campionato del mondo non si svolge. La città che ha ospitato più edizioni del campionato del mondo è Parigi con 5 edizioni, seguono Tokyo e Rio De Janeiro con 3, Vienna e Maastricht con 2. L’edizione del 2019 è già stata assegnata a Tokyo. Si tratta di Andrea Carlino (60), Matteo Medves (66) Fabio Basile (73), Antonio Esposito (81), Nicholas Mungai (90), Francesca Milani (48), Odette Giuffrida (52), Edwige Gwend (63) ed Carola Paissoni (70). Come in occasione di ogni manifestazione iridata degli ultimi anni, non si discute la convocazione dei 9 atleti (il meglio che l’Italia in questo momento può offrire), ma ci poniamo la solita domanda: perché non riusciamo a coprire stabilmente anche i posti vacanti nelle altre categorie? Sono anni che dopo il ritiro di Paolo Bianchessi (ultimo in ordine di tempo per la categoria +100) non siamo più riusciti a portare in gara costantemente un solo atleta per questa categoria. Stesso discorso vale per la categoria dei massimi a livello femminile. Come consuetudine degli ultimi anni, anche a seguito dell’intesa firmata dalla nostra federazione con quella giapponese, il cammino di avvicinamento al mondiale ha visto i nostri ragazzi, accompagnati dal DT Kyoshi Murakani e gli allenatori Francesco Bruyere e Roberto Meloni, impegnati in Giappone per due settimane di allenamenti presso la High School di Fujieda. Sui nove atleti partecipenti sono 4 gli esordienti in un Campionato del Mondo Senior (Andrea Carlino, Matteo Medves, Nicholas Mungai e Carola Paissoni); in 3 hanno alle spalle la sola partecipazione all’edizione del 2017 a Budapest (Fabio Basile, Antonio Esposito e Francesca Milani), mentre Edwige Gwend e Odette Giuffrida sono le veterane rispettivamente con 6 e 4 partecipazioni alle spalle. Toda Bogdan je ves čas verjel v judoistke in judoiste, ki so si v teh letih izborili status ene najuspešnejših slovenskih športnih panog v prvi kategoriji olimpijskih športov. Judo zveza Slovenije je pod njegovim vodstvom nedvomno postala zgodba o uspehu. V vseh teh letih je Judo zvezo vodil vizionarsko, z neizmerno voljo in energijo, predvsem pa z ljubeznijo do tega plemenitega športa. Ko me je Bogdan leta 1996 povabil k sodelovanju v našem domačem klubu, si nikoli nisem mislil, da bom ostal zvest judu vse do danes.

    Solo Judo Nasce un nuovo progetto per “impararci” a praticare judo. Non abbiamo sbagliato verbo. Noi abbiamo necessità di imparare judo perché, in- sieme, si può. “Solo Judo” nasce proprio perché ogni idea, dalla più semplice a quella più articolata, contribuiscano a farci capire un po di più di judo di quanto ne sappia- mo. Per partecipare a “Solo Judo” bisogna essere cinture nere insegnanti tecnici perché il programma è rivolto solo agli inseganti tecnici; consideriamo gli Agosto/Settembre 2019 insegnanti tecnici l’albero sul quale cresceranno i fio- ri del judo.
