Inclusion consists of individuals with and without disabilities participating in recreation activities in their community. Inclusion makes it possible for individuals to choose from a vast array of programs that BREC offers and promotes the opportunity for people of all abilities to play where they choose. The following programs are ongoing with no registration deadlines. No fees are associated with the programs below unless otherwise noted. SUNSHINE SOCIAL BREC.ORG/ADAPTIVE Through partnership with Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge, BREC is able to offer themed, monthly socials for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their friends and family. PROGRAM SPRING SESSIONS Riders aged six and up with physical, mental, and social disabilities participate in a 6-week session of riding lessons tailored to their needs. Riders enjoy a one hour class on {Events} horseback learning stretching exercises, basic equitation and HEARTS & HOOVES VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION games.
