Für die Nutzung der Synchronisation von Windows Phone 7 über Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) ist ein Exchange Server ab der Version 2003 SP2 erforderlich. Auf die infrastrukturellen Anforderungen und Möglichkeiten wird im dritten Segment dieses Whitepapers eingegangen. Der Bereich PIM gliedert sich primär in die drei Bereiche: Email, Kalender und Kontakte. Die Synchronisation von Aufgaben wird kurz anhand einer beispielhaften Partner-Lösung beschrieben. Die Informationspunkte in Windows Phone 7 für den Zugriff auf E-Mails, Termine und Kontakte finden Sie als Erstes in Form der entsprechenden animierten Kacheln (Live Tiles) direkt auf dem Startbildschirm. Den Startbildschirm erreichen Sie, indem Sie nach dem Einschalten des Handys die vom Benutzer anpassbare Gerätesperre (Lockscreen) nach oben schieben. In den meisten Fällen der Nutzung innerhalb eines Unternehmensnetzwerkes erfolgt zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch die Eingabe einer PIN, die über EAS-Richtlinien vorgeschrieben wird. Der Lockscreen liefert aber auch schon vor dem Entsperren neben der Uhrzeit und dem Datum die ersten wichtigen Informationen über bevorstehende Termine, entgangene Anrufe, neue Textnachrichten oder E-Mails. Die Kacheln auf dem Startbildschirm zeigen nach dem Entsperren auf einen Blick, was aktuell für den Anwender bereitsteht. Ein Tippen auf die entsprechende Kachel zeigt Ihnen dann die neuen Informationen. Da Windows Phone 7 die gleichzeitige Nutzung mehrerer EAS Konten (neben anderen privaten E-Mail Systemen) erlaubt, ist es sehr hilfreich, die Beschriftung der Kacheln zu ändern. So kann der für die EAS-Konten auf der Kachel verwendete Name „Outlook“ (bei weiteren EAS Konten „Outlook1“ usw.) in den Kontoeinstellungen individuell angepasst werden. 3 Dazu wählen Sie einfach in den Einstellungen das entsprechende Konto durch Antippen aus und verändern dann den Namen des Kontos. Nun folgen genauere Beschreibungen der einzelnen PIM-Bereiche. E-Mail Die nach wie vor wichtigste Anwendung auf modernen Smartphones ist der E-Mail-Client, bei Windows Phone 7 das Programm Outlook Mobile. Der erste Schritt zur Nutzung der E-Mail-Synchronisation auf das Windows Phone 7 Handy ist die Einrichtung über die Eingabe der Konfigurations-/Zugangs-Parameter. Dazu können Sie entweder bei einem neuen Gerät auf dem Startbildschirm auf die Kachel „E-Mail Setup“ tippen, oder über die Einstellungen ein neues Konto hinzufügen. Wählen Sie als Konto-Typ Outlook aus und geben Sie anschließend Ihre E-Mail-Adresse und Ihr Kennwort ein.
