We cut it down in length so that the drum solo became the featured part. We included it here because it was a chance for us all to remember how great Eric a s a B s a s really was.” The band also dedicated the album to the memory of Carr. The album opens with a warped, in-your-face rocker, “Unholy.” The lyrics are bitter and raunchy, and the guitar riffs bring forth a demented atmosphere. "I was there through the ages, chained slaves to their cages/I have seen you eat your own...rm suicide and starvation, the omen to nations that you California Pizzas worship on fours/i'm the infection and famine that’s knocking at your ...that's knocking at... your door,” sings Simmons in the wonderfully sick way that only he can. “Unholy,” penned by Simmons and Vincint, succeeds at being one of the h^dest Kiss Specialties songs to be released as a single while still having a chorus that’s catchy enough stick in your mind. A word of caution, this song may lead to head banging. The second track, “Take it Off,” combines somewhat typical Meat Craver Sandwiches Kiss guitar bits with raunchy lyrics about hitting the local bars.
