USAFA 36-3521 – Cadet Extracurricular Activities Commandant of Cadets through CWTM (Support Division) administers the Cadet Club program Cadet Extracurricular Activities Board (CEAB) is the governing body Academics, Athletics, and Military Training take precedence over club activities Exceptions via Scheduling Committee CWTM represented at weekly Scheduling Committee meetings as non-voting member No probations, must meet GPA requirements to travel

Sports Represent USAFA with aim of enhancing AFA image through athletic competition with other universities Recreational Organized primarily as morale, welfare and recreation outlets for cadets Mission Support - Directly support or enhance the Air Force Academy mission; interact with public as individuals and teams Academic/Professional - Promote interest in specialized areas that support or further the Academy curriculum Culture/Affinity – Foster diversity & enhance recruiting

Currently 15 Clubs Cycling Ski, Alpine Fast Pitch Softball Ski, Nordic Judo Team Handball Lacrosse, Women’s Triathlon Marathon Ultimate Frisbee Rodeo Volleyball, Men’s Rugby, Men’s & Womens Waterpolo, Women’s Requirements: Not a USAFA intercollegiate sport Regional/National championship earned in progressive competition 3-years of competitive ops under national governing organization Eligible for LOS Non-LOS meet on off-IM days & during personal time Excusals on case-by-case basis through SCA process Funding Sources: NAF, AOG, APF & Dues

Requirements: USAFA employee Capt, MSgt, GS-9/equiv or above Nominated by Club liaison Endorsed by supervisor in letter signed by applicant Endorsed by Dept Head/O-6 via SSS Approved by the CEAB Report to Commandant of Cadets in OIC capacity Exception—airmanship issues: 306 FTG/CC Mentor cadets on officer role Manage resources (money & equipment) Ensure standards of conduct, appearance and sportsmanship (represent USAFA)

Follow regulations (DoD, AF and USAFA) governing travel, use of APF & NAF funds, etc. MUST travel with cadets on trips (any off-base activity) Liaison approves substitutes
Perform safety inspections (as required) - Triathlon, Paintball, Honor Guard Provide trip reports to CWTM (Monday by noon) Submit membership rosters to CWTM (as roster changes) Submit Schedules for Semester (prior to semester start) Submit LOS names to CWTM (NLT lesson 6 of EACH semester) Submit budget requirements to CWTM for budget Provide administrative and logistical support Submit requests for Scheduling Committee action (SCAs) Submit requests to host activities on USAFA I n t e g r i t y - S e r v i c e - E x c e l l e n c e Funding
Submit requirements as requested by CWTM FY 2013 Budget – Apr 2012 suspense CWTM submits proposed budget to CEAB Goal to put it before the CEAB by Apr Rework as necessary by May (final CEAB of year) CEAB approves budget OIC notified of funding lines Expect large Dues requirement (not Mission clubs) OICs allocate funding by month CWTM update NAF, APF, etc.
