Written and inspired by Natchitoches playright Robert Harling about his beloved sister, Susan Harling, played by Julia Roberts (Shelby). The all star cast 780 Front St #100, also included Sally Fields (M’Lynn), Natchitoches, LA 71457 Dolly Parton (Truvy), Shirley MacLaine (Ouiser), Olympia Dukakis (Clairee) and Daryl Hannah (Annelle) Thirty years later the film still holds a special place in our hearts!
