There is no doubt, fellow students, we all shared this overworked feeling the last couple weeks, especially now the we are entering the fourth quarter. School work is getting harder, and the desire to do school work is getting smaller. We needed a break, a break from the everyday grind of high school. Luckily, our awesome principal booked us a trip to Poinsett Park for an equally awesome religious retreat! Led by Chelsea and Elizabeth, the day was surely a blast! The themes Faith, Hope, and Love were incorporated into activities and spread throughout the day. For the first activity, we were challenged to traverse the vast chocolate river with only a handful of marshmallows, and a whole lot of faith. However, as we all came to realize, it was much less faith, and much more frustration and yelling. After what seemed like a century of futile efforts, the struggle of group one culminated in one final moment - one final leap of faith? ?...the moment was so intense.
