About Imagine Dragons The band’s Smoke + Mirrors album charted at #1 around the world in 2015, including the US Billboard and UK Official Album Charts, reaching gold status in the U.S & UK and platinum in Canada. Formed in 2009 the band quickly earned a grassroots following by touring extensively and independently releasing a series of EPs. After signing to KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records, the band made their major-label debut with the release of Continued Silence (a 2012 EP featuring the breakthrough single It’s Time). Once Night Visions arrived later that same year, Imagine Dragons soon found themselves on a skyward trajectory that saw the album climbing to #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as the group taking home the Best Rock Performance for Radioactive at the 2014 Grammy Awards. With the album Smoke + Mirrors, Imagine Dragons use the frenetic energy of life on the road to infuse their music with both raw tension and intense vulnerability. As on Night Visions which saw the band rack up more than 5 million album sales worldwide and 24 million track sales worldwide, the band works with sharply crafted beats and grooves to dream up rhythm-driven rock music that’s artful yet visceral. The school workload is too strong! We need a break to regroup!? There is no doubt, fellow students, we all shared this overworked feeling the last couple weeks, especially now the we are entering the fourth quarter. School work is getting harder, and the desire to do school work is getting smaller. We needed a break, a break from the everyday grind of high school. Luckily, our awesome principal booked us a trip to Poinsett Park for an equally awesome religious retreat! Led by Chelsea and Elizabeth, the day was surely a blast! The themes Faith, Hope, and Love were incorporated into activities and spread throughout the day. For the first activity, we were challenged to traverse the vast chocolate river with only a handful of marshmallows, and a whole lot of faith. However, as we all came to realize, it was much less faith, and much more frustration and yelling. After what seemed like a century of futile efforts, the struggle of group one culminated in one final moment - one final leap of faith? ?...the moment was so intense.
