Key things to remember on consumer graphics:

Limitations • For professional use we always recommend Quadro cards • Only professional cards are ISV certified • Consumers cards are designed for performance in games vs long term stability • Consumer graphics supply and roadmaps change regularly • Consumer graphics are subject to frequent supply issues • 3rd party consumer cards cannot be guaranteed to function in workstations

Restrictions • We are not allowed to openly market consumer graphics on workstations (IDC rule) • We are not allowed to sell consumer graphics cards as KITs • We are not able to support consumer cards on Linux (no NVIDIA support)

Uses • Consumer cards do have their places though • VR content consumption • Games development (develop and test on target hardware) • Some Media & Entertainment
